Looks like Klaas has the top of the mountain this season

8 (EIGHT) SEC teams in the top 25 - WOW !!

Forced to watch son's games over the internet but they were really improving until this past weekend's loss on the road. Got to see son scowl standing next to the HC, just doggone mad I guess. Of course who am I to talk, I'm yelling at my laptop like a maniac

Son's team got new uniforms two weeks ago, they did a promo over youtube and his girlfriend sent me the link. Well son was the model for the uniforms, they put him in his old number and I admit I cried to see him suited up again. I sure miss those days.

This does seem to be a really challenging season for many, hope we all survive it !!

This week on campus, I pay tribute to the Dawgfather! Coach James, I have a feeling your spirit will be walking the campus at The University of Washington, the shores of Montlake, and the sidelines of Husky Stadium for all of eternity. As I walk into Husky Stadium on these cold, Fall, Saturday afternoons, that slight breeze coming off of Lake Washington will always remind me you are not to far off..Did you play a part in me wanting to be a Husky? I'm sure, just a little bit.....Dreams do come true!

P.S. That's the best Oregon team I've seen Klaas. Good luck the rest of the way!

Just a side note from last weeks Michigan game against Indiana. A wide receiver Jeremy Gallon had 369 yds receiving which set the Big Ten record and 2nd on the FBS of all time. Kind of remarkable considering all the wide receivers having played in the NFL that played in college. So we'll see which team shows up for the rest of the season game to game. Good luck to all.  Some pretty good teams out there in the top 5.

Congrats Klaas and others!  We got beat by Minnesota!    First time since 1962 I believe.  That was before Devaney.  Wow.  Bo's seat is sooooooooo hot I can feel it from here.

Klaas you do know that your OC is our beloved Scott Frost don't you?  His name being mentioned more than anyone else's right now.  Just saying.    Course he is young.... but he's so good.

Meanwhile we play NW this weekend.  Who does everyone play?  Anyone there?  knock ... knock.. knock...

I have several Nebraska buddies here in Dallas -- the frustration with Bo is at atomic proportions!! (not too happy w/ Martinez either!) Bo did not help himself with his comments from 2 years ago! All things must pass!!

Secondary thoughts...............

The grass is not always greener. Nebraska left the Big 12 (or whatever # of teams we have Smile  )  Somewhat mixed results in Big 10  ...  Texas has pretty much sucked since you left ... A&M moved to the SEC  and has done better pretty much because of 1 player (Manziel) who  will leave after this year (already 2 losses) .. and Missouri who did not play anyone until their loss this past weekend. Business as usual.

Oklahoma State at 6-1 is ranked 18th and pretty much where they should be ... better than average, but nothing to write home about!

Thanks for the update -  we don't get all the Big 12 games anymore so good to know what's happening.  Re the grass being green - we would suck regardless of what conference we were in.  Indeed Taylor M has not helped our cause and why Bo has stuck with him noone can figure out.  I can see us losing the majority of our games.  Lots of blame to go around.  This is deja vu so I know the next couple months will be ugly.

I guess one will no longer be undefeated........

Time to pray Smile

Sorry Sharon - just seeing your post.  Saw the score but didn't see your game as I went to Lincoln for our game.  I think FL State is for real this year so don't feel too bad if you lose to a good team.  Who you got next?

Took my niece to our game and we had a blast.  Sunny and perfect weather.  We tried to lose the game but had a miracle happen with four seconds left - you probably saw the highlight reel.  It was insanely fun the way everyone went nuts.  We needed something to cheer about.  Michigan is up next.  Kiwi's team is favored by a touchdown.  We are really hurt on offense - I mean 6 starters out.  3 of them on the line.  Ouch.

Bama and ORegon both played "bye" this week and beat the crap out of them.

Congrats on the awesome win, Frijole Smile. Fun to watch!

Yup - we got spanked pretty bad by FSU as everyone predicted Smile We dropped from #7 to #14!

But the worst part was losing Duke Johnson for the rest of the season. I hope the promising young man fully heals after his surgery for the broken ankle.

Next week Virginia Tech ......and then Duke............

Prayers for all teams - no injuries !

Bean... I did see the highlight reel.. Awesome play and happy you and your niece had something to cheer about!! We keep finding ways to fall apart!!  But the CRAZY thing that happened was the fake injury Auburn pulled!! If you didn't hear about it google it... Very shady! And ESPN would show Gus Malzahn complaining pre season about teams using fake injuries to slow down Auburns hurry up offense!! It was humorous! Going to be bad blood between Gus and Brett Bielema for sure now!
Cannot wait to see how everything pans out this year.. Oregon vs Bama or Florida State will be fun! Just don't want Ohio State to get in... I wouldn't mind seeing their band tho.. Lol!! They are awesome!
