Where is everyone ????

No comments on deflategate even???

Big week in college football - I was remembering GO since Wisconsin plays Bama today.

Made son's season opener two weeks ago, he's now offensive coordinator for one of the largest high school programs in the southeast and they started out with a big win over another big program 39-27. Repeated a win last night of 49-0 but against a smaller opponent.

Klaas, the team they played in the season opener has a WR commit to the Ducks and he's good, very good! Made me go

Where is Frijole??? Has anyone heard from her?

Hope your fave teams have great wins today!!!

Ni None!  I have no idea where everyone is??

Best game I've seen today was BYU and that last minute hail mary.  Ducks are doing great on offence, new quarter back is awesome but their secondary sucks big time.  Right now it's half time 37-21 (Oregon vs Eastern Washington).  Can't watch the game, we have Direct TV and it still doesn't have a deal to get the Pac 12 network yet. So following on twitter etc.

Sounds like you son is doing great!

Klaas I went and watched the replay of the BYU throw and it was quite the catch, even triple teamed! Gotta love it!

I never worry about your Ducks, they always seem to pull off a great season. Bama sure has one really big and really fast RB that will be a terror this season, they trounced Wisconsin.

Son is doing well, he's happy and soon will marry his girlfriend of the last 3 years. Former Ole Miss cheerleader now PA for a cardiac group. She's a keeper.

Daughter is better now too after battling a brain tumor for the last 2-1/2 years. She's in love with the son of her boss - Director of Booster Club at a major university.

I'm hoping to make another of son's games on my way back home - just finished a cloud implementation & conversion in TX and so weary of four years of life across the US. Can't wait to go home.....

Hope you, your hubby and your children/grands are all doing very well

Hopefully soon you will be enjoying grandkids, then maybe time to slow down a bit?  Work from home part time?

Glad to hear your daughter is better, I was honestly afraid to ask. Sounds like her life is just about to begin.  How wonderful!

The Tennessee Titans got my guy Mariotta, I'm sure he'll do great this year.  Still I alway hope he can be traded to the Eagles so he can play for Chip Kelly again.  The new Duck starting QB (Adams) is the real deal, he's pretty great.

So I'm rooting for the Ducks, the Eagles, the Titan's.  After that I root for the team with the prettiest colors, LOL.

Great seeing you.

GO DUCKS!  Beat Michigan State!

The Ducks lost but put up a pretty good fight.  QB needs to relax and get used to the receivers.  Next week will be better.

Not 1, not 2, but THREE touchdown passes for Marcus Mariota.

Titans now lead Tampa 28-7

On the opposite side of things Michigan and Nebraska are still unknown this year. Frijole will have to tell us about the Huskers

Hi Kiwi, I could have sworn I responded back to you weeks ago? I am losing my mind.....

Yes four years on the road but now only one week on the road per month, so grateful that I can spend work to live and not live to work so much. Daughter is much better, thank you for caring.

Does anyone else think this season is kinda chaos? It's so hard to predict who will win on any given game but it's also making for an exciting season right?

Heading out for my one week of travel next week but will swing through to be with son for his game next weekend

Hi Klaas,

I busted - you cheer for the prettiest colors

I cant' hardly keep up with all of the games lately but you sure know how to pick your teams! This is the season for the ACC to actually play some football for a change and I am as surprised as everyone else. Dabo at Clemson finally got them rockin and rollin and did any of you see the Duke vs Miami game last weekend? A crazy finish to that one and then UNC will likely break into the top 25 finally after 700 yds of offense today.

As I recall Sharon's team is Miami?

Off to pack.....head out tomorrow and pray the work week goes quickly.

Klaas, the medical bills have ensured I can never work part-time - I will be the 70 year old woman with a rolling briefcase flying for work  Me, a cane, and a briefcase

no one has commented in awhile here. Congrads to all those Denver fans! Pretty good Superbowl and things stayed close for most of the game. Would have liked to see my AZ Cardinals do better against the Panthers, but hey it was their time to go to the Superbowl.

Kiwi-

I made the Panthers game yesterday due to a former college roomie who has tickets. They did get a lickin' so winning the SB is no guarantee of easy street next season. I did make son's season opener the weekend before and it was a big win  WOOHOO!

I have to pull for certain teams now due to my son and daughter.........so I'll be checking in this season.

Best to you and your family!

How is you son's coaching going this year? Finally Michigan has a coach worth watching now. Maybe I can stay out of the dog house for awhile!

With Coach Pete at the helm, the Huskies will continue to do things the right way and the rest will come...

Wreck,

As a long time fan and recent graduate of the UW, my Dads good friend, who happens to work for a company that is a BIG booster of the football program invited me to listen to Coach Petersen speak to a small group from the company. A group of about a hundred of us in one of the stadium suites. He spoke to us for about an hour and a half and went over the "Our Kinda Guy" (OKG) power point presentation that he gives to all of the kids he recruits. After listening to him speak, I now understand why the other coaches in the Pac12 are very concerned with him. The coaches were asked who they were most concerned with in the Pac12, and they pretty much unanimously said, Coach Petersen. He is extremely genuine and is able to make you feel comfortable in his presence, in a very short amount of time. Very honest and forthright answering questions, without the media being present...From everything I've been told, he and his family love the PNW and will not be going anywhere, anytime soon. As us old timers know, National Championships can be won at our fine academic institution. The academics at the University was a BIG key in him taking this job. Much easier to recruit parents to the UW, as well as the kids. He very rarely, of ever takes a commitment from a kid until his parents have visited the campus with the player, as he believes a commitment is just that, a commitment. I believe he has had 1 decommittment, in the three years he has been here. And that kid flipped to USC the next day...

You can see his "OKG" culture starting to permeate throughout the program and the way the student-athletes carry themselves as young men off the field. As my seats are located right up the stairs from where the recruits are escorted to their seats, I've had many opportunities to speak to them, and they are all extremely impressed with the coaching staff and how they carry themselves. As you are starting to see, the Huskies have bought into his "OKG" philosophy and it is translating onto the field. We are also extremely young. Only 4 seniors on the two-deeps, on each side of the ball, with LOADS of talent red-shirting. And also, a very GOOD recruiting class coming in and the recruiting cycle won't be done until February.

Ok, I'll shut up now....Go Dawgs!

Likewise, Wreck. Hope to see a strong run down the stretch from your Cowboys, after the debacle (robbery) at the beginning of the year. Truly unfortunate when these kids work so hard, to have the game decided by incompetency.

Yes, we were robbed! Played poorly, but still deserved to win! I got to go our game last week - had a great time. My old college roommate invited me up for their big tailgate and great seats.
On another note, the American Football Coaches Association went back named us their 1945 National Champions. We were 9-0 and won the Sugar Bowl that year. They had never named their Champion for that year. A little late, but we can say we have a National Championship in football officially! (We actually won the NCAA basketball tournament in 1945 as well)
