The KGW report says that Kaine is in attendance at the hearing. Don't you love the conflicting reporting.

Divorce hearing set for Kyron Horman's dad & step-mom
http://www.kgw.com/news/Kaine--Terri-Horman-expected-in-court-today-101470199.html
Updated today at 3:42 PM

Kaine Horman and his estranged wife, Terri Moulton Horman were granted an October 7 divorce hearing Wednesday.

Terri, the last person to see seven-year-old Kyron Horman before he vanished on June 4, wants the divorce delayed until after the criminal investigation into his disappearance is completed.

At issue were financial questions and an abatement proposal by Terri's lawyers to speed up the case. But a judge ruled the issues would all be addressed at one joint hearing on October 7.

On September 21, a judge will issue a ruling on whether or not Terri was in contempt of court over accusations she unsealed a restraining order earlier in the summer.

Some say that Terri wants to postpone the divorce proceedings because by testifying she can incriminate herself (specially in the murder for hire allegations.)

But, even after Kyron's investigation is over, if she testifies on it later on she can still be charged, unless... is there a statute of limitations on murder for hire?

What about this "abatement proposal by Terri's lawyers to speed up the case."

Wasn't she trying to delay it? Is there a legal eagle in the houze?

I read it as Terri's lawyers are trying to delay Kaine's efforts to speed up the case.

Must be wierd to see the woman who you thought loved you till you found out she wanted you dead. I wonder if he still has residual feelings for her, since if it wasn't for LE, they'd still be together (unless Kaine was dead by now).

"The appearance of $350,000 is significant in comparison to the family's net worth," said Rackner.

Terri's attorney, Peter Bunch, countered that divorce proceedings are involved enough, arguing the abatement and monetary issues separately would only further complicate things.

Bunch also informed the court that the $350,000 figure quoted is inaccurate.

Judge Meisenheimer took only minutes to decide in favor of Rackner and said these issues should not be complicated for the defense to prepare for.

I wonder why the word "defense" was used... it's a divorce, not a criminal case.

I must be loosening my intelligeance.

Very Happy

Terri appears in court; judge rules in favor of Kaine
http://www.koinlocal6.com/content/news/topstories/story/Terri-appears-in-court-judge-rules-in-favor-of/nViCK_TU30-UdrOlJmu3Fg.cspx

Judge Meisenheimer took only minutes to decide in favor of Rackner and said these issues should not be complicated for the defense to prepare for.

Blanketed by law enforcement and her litigation entourage, which includes Bunch and defense attorney Stephen Houze, Terri Horman left out the back door at Multnomah County Courthouse only 45 minutes after arriving.

updated @ 4:14:

Terri Horman's next court date is Sept. 21 for an alleged restraining order violation. Then on Oct. 7, Judge Meisenheimer will hear divorce abatement and financial inquiry arguments.

Consider the source. News media writing the story in a hurry. Poor choice of a word to use.

The judge agreed with Kaine Horman's attorney that the issues should be heard together and a hearing was scheduled for Oct. 7.

Hormans’ divorce hearing focuses on funds, procedures
http://portlandtribune.com/news/story.php?story_id=128277724380347000

Judge Keith Meisenheimer appeared to reject Bunch’s request that the procedural matters be handled in two separate hearings. He indicated that there would be a single hearing in early October.

A hearing to determine whether Terri violated a gag order related to the divorce filing has already been set for Sept. 21. Kaine Horman claimed that she inappropriately told a friend about information in a restraining order and showed him Kaine’s new address after he moved out of the family’s Northwest Sheltered Nook Road home.

Terri Horman and her attorneys declined to speak to reporters as they left the courtroom.

So much for divorce proceedings.

What's up with the criminal case, LE?

Something to look forward to:

Sept. 21 - contempt of court hearing

Oct. 7 - divorce proceedings

(Hopefully) Press conference by parents - this week (according to some news channel)

Hi you guys!  You're awfully quiet.  Can't help but wonder if you're feeling the same as me?  I'm fed up with Terri.  Little Kyron is still missing!  This should all be about him right now!  Uggh!
