FYI - I know a couple of you have sent me emails and I'm trying to answer/get to them but hotmail is giving me problems again this morning.  Ever since they made an upgrade it's been acting up for me.  I'll answer ASAP.

Can I not email you, but write in here that I did?

That way people would think we have a special relationship, a certain connection, so that they think that if they ever give me a hard time I can seek you on to them?

Very Happy

hahahahahahahaha

No special relationships.  Anyone can email me.  Sometimes I don't even answer  Monkey Devil!  smklaas@hotmail.com

Monkey Devil! AAA HAHAHAHAHA!! Moosee, you're crackin' me up!
Just got up a bit ago(day off, slept in 'til 7!) and catching up...

Your next post...about all Terri's "stuff" she did(lies, sexting, cell phones, etc) by themselves, easily explainable. Put together...they speak volumes and we, in our human nature add it and ,oops, it DON'T(add up)
It brings to mind my sister who (to my knowledge) has never committed a crime, but is very controlling, a pathological liar...more...I love her to death, she would give you the shirt off my back, but can't trust her anymore...it took some therapy and distance(cut off contact for about a year) before I was able to see how much I had been "suckered by her.

I guess my point is that I can see how her "friends" so totally defend her and would do things for her that to most of us would be "what the ???".  Even if you subconscious is trying to send a red flag, the conscious part has been "groomed" to blindly believe and not question  queen"the Queen". I believed all she told me, it wasn't until later I was able to look back and say hey!  wait a second..

IMO, this does not excuse her/their behavior...just a different perspective on motive. I would hope I am not as gullible and naive as I used to be....hard lesson to learn

Come on home Kyron...

I know that was probably a typo, but seriously, my sister would have given someone the shirt off my back. She was exactly the way you describe your sister and it was very hard to break the relationship. I could see how it can happen.

The sketch does favor the groundskeeper dude.  FWIW, Dave Stensen does not have a record from what I can ascertain.

Wyks I had to come out of lurking for that one!  ha ha ha!  Putting Ex on the Uni-bomber list that is so funny!  But seriously you never know.

I have to say....... altho scary, it was fun at the same time!!  Cuz we had a bench warrant out for his arrest, and here was the FBI saying they wanted him first but they'd make sure we'd get him next.

Sure have missed you FCL!!  Please come back in more often!

Thanks Wyks!  I'm working up my nerve to post on this one very soon.  But believe me SM is my place even if I'm only lurking.  I lurk and chuckle and nod in agreement when ever I can with you Monkeys.

Am glad to hear that FCL!  Looking forward to your posting when ya can.

Terri Horman makes Portland court appearance

Terri Horman makes Portland court appearance
Story Published: Aug 25, 2010 at 3:34 PM PDT
Story Updated: Aug 25, 2010 at 11:54 PM PDT

PORTLAND, Ore. - Terri Horman was back in Portland for a court appearance related to her divorce from Kaine Horman, the father of missing Skyline student Kyron Horman.

Sheriff's deputies gathered at the back door of the courthouse Wednesday afternoon, waiting for the arrival of Kyron's stepmother Terri. She was flanked by her two attorneys - including high-powered defense attorney Stephen Houze - and was escorted into the Multnomah County Courthouse by deputies.

Kaine Horman was not at the courthouse Wednesday. However, his attorney, Laura Rackner, was.

Rackner told KATU they were there for "a scheduling hearing." The hearing concluded around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.

Terri Horman had no comment for reporters as she entered and left the courthouse but she was still wearing what appeared to be a wedding ring.

In court the two sides talked about three different things:

First, Kaine wants Terri to show where she supposedly got $350,000 to hire Houze.

Second, Terri wants all the legal issues Kaine has filed against her in their divorce postponed for up to two years. Legal experts say her side is trying to keep her out of any situation that would get her under oath.

Third, they talked about the contempt of court case Kaine filed against Terri, claiming she broke a court order by showing the then sealed restraining order to friend Mike Cook.

Each side also laid out their arguments in court documents:

Terri’s divorce attorney, Peter Bunch, claims the divorce can’t go on right now because she’s a “de facto suspect” in the disappearance of her stepson, Kyron.

But Kaine’s side countered, saying Terri is stalling to “avoid possible self-incrimination.”

Kaine’s attorney, Rackner, questioned why Terri’s attorney was asking for two separate hearings: one for the divorce delay and the other to explain where Terri got the money to pay for her defense attorney, Houze.

Kaine would “incur extra fees and costs … miss additional work days” and that money “needed by him to support his family,” Rackner wrote.

But Bunch said Kaine is the one with the “significant income” and “substantial savings” and seems to want to “interfere” with her choice.

In the end the only thing that was decided is the judge will hear arguments on the money and postponement in early October, and the contempt case will be in mid-September.

<snipped>

Investigators have not named Terri Horman a suspect or person of interest in this case, and they have not made any arrests.

Kyron’s biological parents, Desiree Young and Kaine Horman, will hold a news conference Friday at 11 a.m., they said in an e-mail sent to media outlets Wednesday night.

Young and Horman said the topics will include updates on the case, Kyron’s birthday and a fundraiser set for next Wednesday, September 1.

KATU News reporter Anita Kissée contributed to this report.

So, I've read KH getting a ton of crap for filing for divorce after his son is missing, but if the MFH plot is true, I can't blame him. I can't figure out how the courts can tell him he CAN'T divorce from a woman that wanted him DEAD and is quite possibly responsible for his son's disappearance. How can they force him to stay married to her for 2 more years? I just can't wrap my mind around not granting a divorce, in the ethical sence.

Lemme ask y'all... whoever wants to answer.. or it can be one of those hmmm kind of questions.

What were you doing on the morning of January 21, 2007?  What where you wearing?  Who did you see that day?  See anyone wearing a red top, driving a blue sedan?

LOL..

Heck, I can't even remember what I was doing/wearing last week!

Well, I keep a little diary using a program my husband made. So I looked up Jan 21 2007, and apparently I was recuperating from something, since it said "Almost well." heh It was a Sunday, btw. And my husband had to work. Had that written down also.

Yea I don't know how people are supposed to remember such details about that morning. I drop my children off everyday and I can't recall who I see and what they drove or where they parked.

It IS mind-boggling TG, that they are even asking folks to remember back to that day... thinking in terms that someone 'might' remember something now, that they didn't that next week.  Just made me wonder even more about what the heck LE/FBI were 'really' up to, cuz it just doesn't make sense.  IMO.

I can see why people are talking about the similarities.

I can too.

Put them altogether in one image to look at them:

But as I said, he seems to be heavier currently than the sketch and the image he has on his website.

Also, it looks like the sketch is without a mustache.  What do you think Brandi?

As much as I don't want to think this, I think Dave could have shaved and taken out his earring to look almost identical to the sketch. Yes, he'd have had to have shaved his mustache off and trimmed the beard off his cheeks.

Even the wrinkles look similar, the deep creases around his mouth, and his ears are exactly the same.

They look way too similar for my comfort level.

I agree. Also, don't forget the sketch is based on a 13 -year olds memory. I didn't notice the earing when I first saw his pic. Something is strange here. I hate to sound cynical but could the 13-year old's parents be Terri supporters and having him throw this out there to cast suspicion on someone else. They know what the groundskeeper looks like. Please don't th row monkey poo at me for doubting a child, it was just a speculation. If this description is on the level, however, ...
But on second thought, wouldn't LE have checked it out? Because if we can see the similarity, I'm sure so could they.

Yeah... poor guy.. he probably just cruises round on his lawnmower most days, bebopping to the music in his headphones, and would likely go WTH?  at the thought he resembles some bad guy.

Oh no! I take back any speculation I made about the 13-year old or his parents. I didn't read the article fully. I didn't realize he'd actually been assaulted. I feel awful.

Write it down!

If you are ever linked in any way with a possible crime, i.e., you picked up your child from a school where something might have happened, write down everything you did and noticed as soon as possible. Add anything you think of later. The info may never be asked for or needed, but you will have your notes just in case. Do this for anything related to a possible crime, even if it happened two blocks away, especially if you noticed anything unusual.

The mind changes things over time. It will fill in gaps to make a whole. Happenings from days previous or following might interfere. If everything is written down as soon as possible, there is a truer picture of what happened.

Can monkeys write?

I still cannot wrap my head around the fact that Terri is not requesting at least supervised visitation with Kiara! I cannot imagine her Attorneys thinking on this. It makes her look very cold and uncaring. The only thing that I can figure is that it will be part of the slander lawsuit later. "Because of all of the slander, this poor woman was kept from seeing her daughter for months", blah blah blah! NOTHING would keep me from my daughter!

Maybe if Terri pushed visitation rights with her daughter, it would bring into court the whole thing about Kyron going missing.  Since it's not been determined by LE if Terri is guilty or even a POI, it would bring all that out in court anyway...sort of a trial before any determination of guilt.  Complicated.

Kyron's parents to speak Friday

Updated today at 8:08 AM

PORTLAND, Ore. -- The parents of Kyron Horman have scheduled a press conference for 11 a.m. Friday to speak to the public about the disappearance of their son. KGW.com will stream the press conference live and KGW NewsChannel 8 will broadcast the press conference live on Channel 8. Kyron Horman disappeared June 4 from Skyline Elementary School. Police have received more than 3,700 tips in the case, and the focus of their investigation has been on Kyron's step-mom Terri Horman, but she has not been named a suspect or person of interest in the case.

I believe the presser will at least cover the moving of the "Wall of HOPE" and the fundraiser coming up.

OH my dearest Wyks.........................how the heck did you pick THAT day?  No, really, HOW?????????
I was wearing black jeans and a grey sweatshirt.
I was lying next to Brian in the hospital bed I had put up in our bedroom.
I was giving morphine shots.
I was giving pain meds rectally, also.
I saw my sister, our children, and our pastor.
I saw a hearse come at 5:10 that afternoon.  2 people came from the Funeral home.  A woman and a man.  The man had on a black suit and the woman had on a navy blue skirt and weird boots........I remember the boots.
They put a beautiful quilt on Brian and took him away...................
How did you pick that day???
Isn't it strange that of all the days in forever you picked that day?
Wow.
You would have really liked Brian.  Everyone did.  Our friends called us 'Brat" instead of Brian and Pat.
It's okay, it is a comforting memory, that day, because he did it just the way he wanted to....at home.
Hugs
