JSM's BEGGING FOR BAN THREAD #20 8/27/10 -

Hi girls, good to see you all too. I am finally getting back to a somewhat normal life and hope to be posting more. I have missed everyone so much.
I have even heard that sweet JSM is engaged. Congrats JSM, Wishing you all the happiness in the world. Who is the lucky guy???
Well I need to get in the shower and get dressed. About time...lol it is almost 12:30 pm. I slept in late this morning after staying up til 2 am digging thru cemetary records. I am working on our family tree and it has been so interesting. I now have 2210 people on my tree. Some back to the 1100's . Been a fascinating journey. My grandson is going to design a book cover for it.

darla  Doing the family tree is so interesting. One of these days I will be able to put all I have together. While I was researching mine I meant so many wonderful family members. To get to share with them. Got hubs side done before his dad passed. They just loved it.  Glad you are doing better. 

Thank you guys for all the well wishes and prayers. Hopefully I am on the mend. I have felt really good for the last few days.

On the family tree situation. I have run into a few snags on my Mom's side....but my dads side is major confusion. I just left it for the time being.My greatgrandmother on my dad's side was full blooded Cherokee. Well go back a few generations and when the Indians were being forced onto reservations some hid out in the swamps of the Carolina's. Well when the census started and these stragglers were found deep in the woods, they put their race as black, Denying their Indian heritage. Talk about major headaches. I never knew any of this til I started digging into Carolina Cherokee's and the Trail of Tears.

Hubs hasn't gotten to putting in the conduit for the cable to run from his barn yet. He is working on adding to his barn. He isn't as fast as he use to be. So until he gets it done we are still with Hughes.  Thanks for asking. Did you see the article Klaas posted in Musing about some super speed service in TN. It's only 350 a month. What a bargain 

And people interviewed said no way..apparently they are looking to recruit businesses and feel this will be a big selling point.

I sorta think she looks like a man turned woman myself.  I don't believe for a minute she nor her children haven't watched television in a few decades.

Those walls can be frustrating, but at the same time it is a real look into history. And very interesting. Good luck

Sidekick just called and he got a 98 on his social studies test we practiced on togehter.    Two points off for a misspelled word. Dagnabit.
He is so excited,because I told him if he got an A I would get a wireless router,so he can get wifi for his DSI    
He said tell everyone hello,and he has no words of wisdom today.

I sure wish we could all go along with cookie to the cocktail party, I'll behave, don't drink anymore so I'll be on my best behavior  Set me up in a corner with an ashtray and food.

Heck I will sit in the corner with ya and some  that would be fun!  Especially in Chicago, then we could walk up and down Rush Street and Michigan Ave and look at the lake.

And we'll shop on State Street...retail therapy, ya know!
