Okay, way way behind (d*mn Hoarders) OMG, if you didn't see last nights episodes and decide to watch it online. Don't watch the one Robin/Ken while you are eating.     


 I am so glad I watched the crazy possum lady from my mom's church during lunch instead.

That show so upsets me 

When I was on the Grand Jury one case was a woman with 150 dogs living in her house. The living dogs were so hungry they were cannibalizing each other. Just about all the dogs had to be put down. The pictures of the house were unbelievable. Her husband and daughter lived with her and did nothing to stop the hoarding. She was released on bond and accumulated 20 more dogs and was arrested again. I do not understand any of it but why did the husband and daughter not get her treatment or call for the dogs to be rescued. The county had the house destroyed because of the health hazard. She was found guilty of felony animal cruelty and sentenced to 3 years and ordered not to own any more animals.

OMG    wonder what causes a person to do that?

I would hate to see this house JSM    I watched two episodes of that show once, and couldn't take anymore. My life is all organized and neat, and I would die inside a house like that, and especially with possums

With me it was scarves. When I retired I must have had 50 of them.

  I think I am down to 6 pairs of flip flops. I swear I chucked away at least 15 pairs when I cleaned out my closet.

They say it is a mental illness.  The possum lady was the first time I ever saw a psychiatrist on the show. Usually they have psychologists on but he said she needed medication and she wasn't the craziest one I have seen on that show.

  I think I am down to 6 pairs of flip flops. I swear I chucked away at least 15 pairs when I cleaned out my closet.

The only scarves here now are the ones the dogs wear home from the groomers.

4 donks, I saw one episode where the wife said it was the husband that was a hoarder and she was going to leave with the baby if he didn't stop. The husband was the one that cleared everything out and the wife was really the hoarder more than the husband. I think maybe in the case you are talking about the others were hoarders as well. Just a possibility.

Hello eveyone!

Just a quick note to tell you all Hello and that I'm thinking of you all.  Even though I cannot be here to post you are all on my mind and in my prayers.  Things are going OK w/my mom.  I'm still living with her and taking care of her full time.  It has taken a toll on me and Bubba.  With God's help we will prevail.

I'm so glad you stopped in to let us know you're doing alright, .  You're an angel to stay with your mom and take care of her.  Are there any respite programs or any kind of help available so you can get some rest and be able to spend some time with Bubba?  Please take care of yourself too Lovin' even in small ways if you can and let us know how things are going.  When I see Jaliek Rainwalker's thread, I always think of you and I hope he'll be found soon.

  Those are the only scarves I have too. Josef has his scarf my friend had made for him with the Hammer and Sickle because she calls him Josef Stalin and a Texas Tech scarf. Once the others fall off of him, they get chucked in the trash.

I sure wish we could all go along with cookie to the cocktail party, I'll behave, don't drink anymore so I'll be on my best behavior  Set me up in a corner with an ashtray and food.

Heck I will sit in the corner with ya and some  that would be fun!  Especially in Chicago, then we could walk up and down Rush Street and Michigan Ave and look at the lake.

And we'll shop on State Street...retail therapy, ya know!

I hoard snickers   I feel sorry for these people. But I don't get how when other people live with them how come they don't get them help. I collect things. When I was working I had reams and reams of colored paper in every shade out there. And theme clothes from sweaters, dresses and ear rings and broaches even socks.
