MyMonkey..I have actually made some money selling old jewelry..people would be surprised at how much money there is in gold..twisted up chains, one of a kind ear rings etc...I made over $500 at my neighbors gold selling party and another $414 when the Antique Road show (?) came to our town...

I am too, and who would have figured a humidifier would help so much. My husband is going to be so jealous that you went to the Antique Road Show, he loves that show. Good money in gold.

I will have to admit I love Antique Road Show, one of the few shows I watch on PBS. There is another one from England I like called Cash in the Attic, where they go into people's houses searching for treasures to sell at auction to make some money. It's pretty cool when they get more than they thought they would for some kind of junk tea kettle and such.

I like Cash in the Attic also 

  There is another one too, where they go to a flea market and get to buy a few things they think are of value then take to auction and keep the money if they make any over the price they bought the junk for. Can't think of the name of that show, but the presenter is a crazy guy with wild hair and kooky glasses. First time I was in England I watched that show every morning. 

I'm not sure of that show, but it is fun to watch and see how somethings that you didn't think were that valuable turn out to be valuable. I love British humor way more than American humor, and have or do watch many British sitcoms, much more enjoyable then most of the crap on our TV.

I wish I could think of the name of that show. I like British humor over American crap on TV too. Father Ted is one of my all time favorite shows along with Keeping up Appearances. I love me some Daisy and Onslow.

No Rose, the shows name just came to me. It is called Bargain Hunt... maybe you can find old episodes on youtube or the internet. It is really a neat show.

There aren't any hipsters where I live, and really not to many weirdos, it is a conservative area, but a hop skip and jump will bring you to plenty. We live by canyons where there are tons of old hippies, but they are cool and mind their own business. I think Josef and I would get along real well.

I have a few hipsters in my apartments, they keep to themselves, one of them being the girl that once wore swim goggles in the rain.  We are mostly conservative around here luckily. Most hipsters live uptown where it is "cool". I know you and Josef would get along tremendously. He would love you so much.

I love swim goggles in the rain  I would rather look at those characters then these ridiculous soccer moms around here, they make me want to puke, with their goody goody BS.

I got stuck on the top of a roller coaster at Six Flags one time and they were going to make us walk down if they couldn't get it started. That was the last time I ever road one.

JSM...we are having a pretty good weekend...so far so good..
last night we went out to dinner with 1 of our sons and his family...2 grand daughters are delightful..
today we are going over to the new house to work...the plastering of the walls is complete in the lower level so the floors are really white powdery dusty...so we are going to vacuum that up and do some general cleaning  up of dust upstairs too...other than that we have no plans..
hubs is doing his errands for his mother who is almost 89 yrs old..still living on her own, praise God! she lived with us for 2 1/2 years and it was the worst time of our marriage....Not sure how much longer she can be in her apartment with out further help..her building is for retirees but she needs more help lately...she has someone who cleans for her and we do most everything for her but she is going down hill..
question:  why are old people so obsessed with pooping??? if MIL does not poop every day she is in a panic! Jesus...does anyone here keep track of it? don't ya poop when ya need to and not on a schedule? lol....

oh, I bought a box of the raspberry zingers and I have to say that they are my all time favs of zingers..

JSM...we are having a pretty good weekend...so far so good..
last night we went out to dinner with 1 of our sons and his family...2 grand daughters are delightful..

Glad you had a nice dinner Cookie and sorry you are so busy with the house and I understand the MIL situation living with you completely. Been there done that.

   I don't know why old people are obssesed with pooping. My grandmother (rest her soul) did the exact same thing. Always talking about it and worried if she hadn't gone in a day. I always changed the subject but she would go on and on about it.  I do not keep track nor do I have a schedule or worry if I have or haven't gone.

I used to enjoy or at least not be afraid of heights, but in my wiser, older years, am not comfortable up high. That was great photography and I cannot believe OSHA does not require safety belts up there. What kind of people do that work? LOL

It was interesting to watch though, and my stomach has since settled down.
