Afternoon monkeys..... new food didn't help Josef at all last night. I thought he would be okay, but woke up to another mess. Got some of that stuff from the vet, hopefully it will clean it up as good until I can get carpet cleaner guy out here to do it for real.  I went to skate and it was pouring down rain, hopefully it will let up soon so I can take him outside. Anyways, hope your day is going well. Peace and prayers for all.

Afternoon monkeys..... new food didn't help Josef at all last night. I thought he would be okay, but woke up to another mess. Got some of that stuff from the vet, hopefully it will clean it up as good until I can get carpet cleaner guy out here to do it for real.  I went to skate and it was pouring down rain, hopefully it will let up soon so I can take him outside. JSM I finally was able to catch up .. Josef.
Thinking about him .. being that he was in his normal routine with his Momma.
He was attacked in his safe known walking place, could it be that maybe he is suffering " emotionally/mentally" more so than psychically?

Me personally, I cannot tell the difference between a Dog and a Human - as far as how deep they feel compared to us Humans. I think Dogs have a much keener sense " when it comes to protection" than we can ever imagine. I wonder if Josef is not only traumatized by the event ( him being attacked when he was off guard) but adding to it - He recalls you being so upset. Which would almost be worse for him ..because he is within his gut " Your protector".
He was within his normal routine and he was attacked .. that was his known zone. And maybe now he is not so sure what is safe to him .. and He is feeling it 3 times .. over his own wounds. Which I think would make him not heal as fast ..say "god forbid" if he was injured in a freak accident. I know you two as you have always said are Two Peas in a Pod. Maybe if you reinforce to Josef .. you're okay . he than can start to heal. I would carry a golf club with me too from now on .. or a thick heavy cane. Who would know ? I am being serious. I hope he is doing better. Just wondering how much emotional damage was caused by his attack.. because again he was in his safety zone and was " caught off guard" and mauled .. and he I am sure was thinking of You at the same time .. too much confusion within minutes for a dog to handle. It is a thought JSM, that Josef was not only fighting off the POS dog that grabbed him, but he was thinking I gotta protect my Mama. You think he is your fur son. Well he knows by instinct its not only built in to protect you, if he was not able to protect you ..he would offer himself .. Dogs are that way. They serve and protect.
 I think he may be in shock.  Still.  Nature always rules.

  DEENIE...... you hit the nail on the head.    The vet told me that the stress would catch up to him 3 to 5 days and all this started on the 4th day. You are correct, he was trying to protect me and he is my protector from other animals. Kisses to Deenie from Josef.

I am going to stop the antibiotics and see if that helps clear the problem up. He has such a sensitive stomach, I know what antibiotics do to me, so it may well be those pills doing it to him.

  Thank you 4 donks for the prayers. It really bothers him if he goes in the house and makes him depressed. Makes me depressed that he is costing me a bundle that I don't have.

Yes, some antibiotics do a terrible thing to someone's stomach. Many times in the past they just ripped my stomach and I got sick.

They do the same to me, so I figured it might be the antibiotics causing his problem. The vet said they shouldn't, but I know how they affect me so they may affect him the same way.

Good Morning.Hope everyone is doing well this a.m.
Trying to get some stuff done outside before it rains.I must have inhaled too much paint fumes this week....everytime I look over and see the Hockers I want to punch one of them in the face.  They are having margaritas already. 
I got to get done and get my self inside for the rest of the day.   
Maybe I need some of     today during the footbal game.

I agree, he looks well in that video. And happy. And a little frustrated he cannot get to that creature in the vent! LOL
