Hi Green Eyes
It's still in the 90's during the day but is going down in the lower 60's at night. If we could just have the daytime temps in the low 80's I'd be Happy
That is good it goes down to a comfortable temp to sleep in. Here also it has been going down into the 50's at night.
Would love to open windows at night but the humidity is so high it just makes everything feel damp In the AM I have fog and heavy dew
That is not good with the humidity. Use to love when I lived at home and the fog would be rolling off Lake Michigan, would enjoy walking the beach in the morning, peaceful and quiet. That damp feeling in the house though is not good.

I know when we had the cooler temps I wanted to open the windows but it was still to sticky. We are back into the high 90's.  But still not like it was.
Did any of you read about the poor golfer in Calif. That started the fire when his ball hit a rock and sparked and started a brush fire.  I know it's not funny but what are the chances of that happening.

Good morning!!

Well, this old hag has had it with this widow business!
Don't you guys just BELIEVE that in our earthly life it is all about timing?
The timing of the economy nose dive in addition to Brian's death just did me in.
No way to sell my house right now..........it is barely worth what we paid for it to say nothing of the improvements we have made.
Today I spotted evidence of a new roof 'issue'.  I had repair work done in the spring to the tune of over $800 but they patiently and kindly explained to me that I really need a new roof.  We thought we could buy a couple of years w/ the repairs......................HOWEVER............I may have to bite the bullet.
All I was doing was making the upstairs inviting for guests coming tomorrow................I was NOT looking for a new worry!
Honestly what widow with one little dog doesn't need a 4 bedroom house????????????????  Two story............
ARGHH
Between home maintenance and health insurance concerns I feel really shat upon today.
Thanks for letting me vent.
I just put my faith to work and take a deep breath and trust.
Hope all of you are well and that today is wonderful for you.
Rose, good Lord, when I saw that post referring to you as DeDe I just cracked up.  I wonder who I can be?
I would fit in w/ that out of shape crowd, tho.  Talking a good story about the 'gym'.  My treadmill and stationary bike need DUSTING.
Peace and Tolerance!

Dampness in the house scares me...mold can make you so sick.
I love fog also, I also enjoy a good thunder storm, but my older guy shakes so bad I have to hold him

an angelic monkey It will work out for you, but our house in WI, with it's roof issues, think it is better to just bite the bullet and do it, unfortunately. This economy is so bad, I feel for all that are trying to sell their homes.  OMG how funny, I never had a treadmill, but my other exercise stuff always needed to be dusted, now I have no exercise stuff, running up and down the steps and all over the house will have to be enough. Hope you have a good time with your company.  I have no idea why this guy said I sound like DeDe, considering he said DeDe is his cousin

I'm afraid of mold also, one thing about So Ca we don't get much humidity, but when we do it is awful. Love thunder storms as well, but poor Zoe would get so scared just like your pup.  an angelic monkey

I'm DeDe taking vitamin D    It is a prescription D, you take one a week for two months and they are very strong. Don't really know why I'm on them, just my blood work showed a lack of it.  Hope you are having a good day today on your vacation.
