I sure wish we could all go along with cookie to the cocktail party, I'll behave, don't drink anymore so I'll be on my best behavior  Set me up in a corner with an ashtray and food.

Heck I will sit in the corner with ya and some  that would be fun!  Especially in Chicago, then we could walk up and down Rush Street and Michigan Ave and look at the lake.

And we'll shop on State Street...retail therapy, ya know!

Morning Monkeys.... Last night my phone kept ringing off the hook. Oh lord it was my mom and my best friend telling me to go watch Hoarders (I don't have cable)

Turns out if any of you watched it, the lady with the possum in the house GOES TO MY MOTHER'S CHURCH         

It's true No Rose, my nephew was at my best friends house and called my mom told her to turn on Hoarders and sure enough possum lady goes to their church 

I really wish that episode was up online right now and I could watch it. 

How funny, wonder how many possums are in her house?

When I was on the Grand Jury one case was a woman with 150 dogs living in her house. The living dogs were so hungry they were cannibalizing each other. Just about all the dogs had to be put down. The pictures of the house were unbelievable. Her husband and daughter lived with her and did nothing to stop the hoarding. She was released on bond and accumulated 20 more dogs and was arrested again. I do not understand any of it but why did the husband and daughter not get her treatment or call for the dogs to be rescued. The county had the house destroyed because of the health hazard. She was found guilty of felony animal cruelty and sentenced to 3 years and ordered not to own any more animals.

I would hate to see this house JSM    I watched two episodes of that show once, and couldn't take anymore. My life is all organized and neat, and I would die inside a house like that, and especially with possums

  Nope, not pets No Rose. They were living in her garage or husband's workshop along with other dead critters. It was so funny when the possum ran out one guy started cussing and they had to bleep him out. Sad thing is, if you ever saw the house just driving down the road you wouldn't know what it was like from the outside. Perfectly manicured lawn, etc.

And just as when she was on bond and got more animals, I bet when she gets out, she'll get more. Just because she was ordered to not own any more, does not mean she won't.

OMG 4 donks. No WAY could I ever be on a jury like that. The story of Robin is just about like that, but with cats. If I could have more than one dog I would but NOT 150, that is just cruel. And for the family to not get treatment is beyond me. I understand it is a disease and bless these people on Hoarders that help these people. I swear every time I watch it I think just give the hoarder a few xanax and shovel the chit in the dumpster. They will never know the difference. Saddest one today was when the little girl that lived with her mom said she wish she would die so she didn't have to live that way.

I had a great aunt (married into the family, not blood related)  that was a hoarder after her husband died. She didn't have a stove because she didn't want to get rid of the broken one that she and my uncle "set up house" after WWII    She wouldn't let anyone into the house because she knew how bad it was until she fell through the floorboards and had to push the LifeAlert button. No one knew how bad it was until APS got involved.

OMG 4 donks. No WAY could I ever be on a jury like that. The story of Robin is just about like that, but with cats. If I could have more than one dog I would but NOT 150, that is just cruel. And for the family to not get treatment is beyond me. I understand it is a disease and bless these people on Hoarders that help these people. I swear every time I watch it I think just give the hoarder a few xanax and shovel the chit in the dumpster. They will never know the difference. Saddest one today was when the little girl that lived with her mom said she wish she would die so she didn't have to live that way.

I had a great aunt (married into the family, not blood related)  that was a hoarder after her husband died. She didn't have a stove because she didn't want to get rid of the broken one that she and my uncle "set up house" after WWII    She wouldn't let anyone into the house because she knew how bad it was until she fell through the floorboards and had to push the LifeAlert button. No one knew how bad it was until APS got involved. 

Some of the people on the GJ couldn't look at the pictures..just listened to the testimony. It was terrible. I thought the husband and adult daughter should have been charged also.
