                                  Monkey Devil!

Did you leave Wyks locked up in the last cage?  Has anyone seen her?  I don't remember her posting anything about not being here and she's usually on daily.  I promise I'm not nosey, just wondering and always looking for any of our Monkey's MIA!

I haven't heard from Wyks but I'll check her last posts.

I know it's hard not having PM's here but this "you got mail" stuff has to be curtailed a bit OK?

Klaas, Respectfully, I understand your reasoning, but the majority of us don't use these emails as our regular emails, so we don't check them very often, and when we're working on something regarding the Kyron case, sometimes we are at a standstill until we hear from another Monkey. There are some things that we don't want to post publically because we don't have the facts yet. It would waste time and too much time has already gone by since Kyron's been missing.

I understand the not posting.  I would think that if you have been emailing people with these email addys that you don't normally use right now you WOULD be checking them.

This is one of the reasons we don't have PM's.  People don't like seeing others say "check your PM's", makes some people feel left out.

Welcome to Missing Kids. PLEASE NOTE this site was never supposed to slander or libel anyone, it was simply supposed to be a resource where information about Kyron Horman and other missing kids could be found in one place without all the fluff.. However, I have been told by Jason Name Redacted that he considered this site to have libelled him. I disagree strongly but I apologize for any postings on this site that he believes libelled him. I have no evidence to suggest Jason Name Redacted is anything but an upstanding citizen with an impeccable record of public service. Sorry, I should elaborate. I think that having to pull the site based on JW calling libel sucks!

How do you know that Grey? Did you even see what the person on that web site posted about him prior to the notice? Just curious.

I'm curious to know what was on there too. Anyone suing for libel has to prove that what was being said is not true and that it has caused them some sort of damages.

I am only saying that Jason has the right to sue for libel if a web site has written material, expressly stated or implied to be factual, that casts a negative light on Jason.

I have never been to the linked web site before, and I have not seen what the person posted. I have seen some of what has been posted here, and "negative" could be used to describe some of the posts.

It is not unusual for someone to sue a web site containing negative info about them. Not sure, but they may be able to go after the individual posters.

This persons site was focused on the search for Kyron. I can't imagine someone posting something about a specific person that intertwined in this case without facts backing them up. If that did happen, then shame on them, but if they had facts based on their statement, and did a retraction based on fear of being sued, then I understand. JMO.

We Monkeys don't make open ended statements without having a back up. That's why we always make sure there is a link to tie in with their statements. There have been opinions, and those posts were stated as such, IMO. You can't sue someone for having an opinion.

Right, nor can you sue when someone asks questions.

Gosh I cant resist though I probably should..
I told Jason that I dont think I libelled him.
On my site I linked to other sites containing information and theories that I suspected were true.
To be guilty of libel I would have to state something that I knew to be untrue - I dont think I ever did that.
However, I am a simple girl with no legal knowledge and no money so I am withdrawing the site with an apology.
Otherwise I have to go to court against a man who allegedly had six supreme court nominations.. Wink

When Jason came over here, he wanted to set the record straight.  When he left, he left us with more questions unanswered than questions answered.

Umm, I think you have to be appointed by the president to be appointed to the Supreme Court and have to be an attorney.

Is Jason 'in" with Obama and is he an Atty?

How come no one ever questioned why his father was involved with kiddie porn?

If they did, why was it over looked?  Granted, it's not JW, but still you gotta figure that stuff would come out being a public figure and all.

I hope everyone enjoyed their holiday.

No BBQ for me today - sadly discovered the BBQ rusted from the inside out because of the rain of the past month.

--------

About the private emailing, I do agree that too many "you got mail" or "check your mail" on the discussion board makes the rest of us feel kinda left out.

It makes me feel there is some sort of private party that I wasn't invited to, or some worthy subject being discussed that I'm missing out on.

In summary, it brings back childhood issues of lack of breastfeeding, barefoot walking to school, constant comparisons to the village idiot... and so forth and so on.

But... I really don't mind it, the thing on the board thing.

-------

About Kyron, I think that the fate of the little boy is more close to home than many of us want to think it is.

The answer is right in front of us.

All the zany and wacky theories are worth exploring, but it is hard to prove any concrete connection to Kyron as of yet.

I also understand that the lack of evidence released by the authorities is driving all of us to try to connect the dots to make a whole picture... with a lot of the dots missing.

Very Happy
