In Portland, my closest friend was an ex-marine named Billy who had just gotten out of prison.  He told me he was framed for murder because he found out about a trafficking ring that many of Portland’s politicians were involved in.  Billy was trained to work in construction in tunnels beneath the city, a job that he said he wouldn’t have gotten except for classified clearance he received while still in the military.  Billy told me that he discovered a whorehouse connected to the basement of a psychiatric ward where many military personnel and city government workers, including the district attorney, were frequent visitors.  The women, and possibly men, who were being sold there were former patients in the psychiatric facility.

During the time that I was close with Billy, his picture appeared in the paper in an article about convicted felons who were released to halfway houses.  The caption accompanying his photo described him as a “convicted serial killer.”  Billy said that after he went to the police about the trafficking ring he discovered, he was accused of the murder of several local prostitutes.  One afternoon he took my friend Casey and I on a hike through Forest Park.  We walked for miles away from any houses or civilization to a large system of ventilation grates that military personnel supposedly used as an entrance into the tunnel complex.

Thanks for that link.  It's not surprising at all to me how these things can all be connected.  Interesting the experience of Billy and the tunnels under Portland.  Interesting that there supposedly is a present day useage of the tunnel 'complex'.  Not surprising to me tho.  I'm curious how easily accessible those 'ventilation grates' that lead into the tunnels might be.  And if Terri or someone she knows had access to one of those areas.  Hmmmm.  Will dig some more too.  Thanks again!

Wyks - on the underground tunnels - doubledecker and I (quite a while back) were looking into different streets/roads in the area LE has been searching - I took on NW Newberry Road ... in my searches I came across an article having to do with "tunnels" as far out as Forest Park (NW Newberry Rd has a small area that is Forest Park property) so I do know some form of tunnels were connected or whatever to the downtown ones......one story I came across was about trafficking and the Forest Park tunnels that had been used by the military at some point  ... I will try to find the story I read ... was quite lenghty but VERY interesting "view" from  what I believe was a former run-away/prostitute that got entangled in that world ..... (I'll post link soon as I find it)

Hmmm ... thanks zippiddy!  Sooooo there are at least some tunnels out that far.  Wasn't Newberry one of the roads we were discussing in here sometime ago, looking up some addresses/people that lived around there? 

Anyone have a map near the school handy?  Trying to remember the name of the road that connects to Skyline Blvd, just across the street next to the old church.  Wouldn't it be something if there were tunnels under the school and the old church that connected?  How easy would that make it for Kyron to have vanished from the school with no one noticing!

Hey you Night Monkeys!  I've been reading and came across this FBI website that lists press releases from 2010 in Portland.  So much child pornography-it's sick.  What struck me was the 3/3/10 press release.  It caught my eye as wasn't World of Warcraft the game that Kaine and Terri were said to have played?

and YES "WOW" aka: World of Warcraft seems to have its own "underworld" goin' on  I had read that story a while back also 
I know not "all" ppl playing WOW are pedo's/criminally minded/etc .... BUT it sure seems WOW and there's another one that was in the news a LOT last year or so .... where ppl seem to "live" some kinda fantasy-life online ... some seem to get sucked right into it  (I'm sticking to my little bubble shooter and Solitaire Suite  )

Some of what LE received in tips/leads were about them checking out a few 'ventilation grates' in the area.  I believe that Harry Oakes was also asked to check some as well. 

On a psychic forum there's someone who has sensed the grates leading into a tunnel.  So several were found by locals who went searching the areas described, and as far as I know, LE checked them out.  Folks wanted Harry to go in but he didn't have Kyron's scent.  The thinking was at the time, that an alive Kyron had been taken into a tunnel and hidden, then moved somewhere else after that.  One local who actually found one of the tunnels, said that it was one that a person couldn't stand up in and walk thru, that ended with another grate that went out into the water of the river.  A tiny grate, that no body could fit thru either.  As in being washed on out, so to speak.  There are other tunnels they were checking into as well.  Haven't been to that forum lately, heard they closed it to the public at some point.

Hey Storm, in my line of work, Occam’s razor has always been my best friend. So, when I am thinking of hypotheses, I try to keep it simple. When this case is finally solved, IMHO, it will boil down to one simple truth: somebody wanted very much to make this little boy disappear. I think you and I may be on the very same page.

So, as we formulate with so few facts, we should ask ourselves: who had the means, motive and opportunity?

IMO, this crime was well planned and involved very few individuals, at least one of whom was quite familiar with the school and Ky. Whoever lured him out counted on the fact that her/his actions would not arouse suspicions at a school SF. I feel Ky was lured out to some vehicle, not necessarily a white truck, could have been a car parked adjacent to Kaine’s truck…and he was gone. While LE was trying to clear the immediate family of any involvement, TMH reportedly changed her stories several times, her phone pinged off certain towers, she pulled away from Kaine and Desiree early on in the investigation, and was subjected to three polys. That ninety minute period of time in her alibi during which she says she was driving Kiara around on back roads is highly suspect, IMO. I don’t think she was panicking at that time. I believe she was engaged in a particular task or waiting for something to happen (some type of signal that all was accomplished?).

I am one of those who believes that RS told the truth about the MFH. I believe TMH wanted KH dead, *perhaps* for monetary gain. Apparently the judge who granted the restraining order believed the MFH plot, as well.

Although the theories are certainly interesting, I am just not feeling any direct connection of Kyron’s disappearance to child trafficking, corrupt cops, or drug cartels, although evidence of this type of criminal activity *may* have been uncovered in parallel investigations. I don’t believe for one nanosecond that anyone sold him or stashed him, nor do I believe he was taken out of the country. I also do not believe he was handed over as “payment” for services not rendered. Well, it’s possible, but I think not. Like Blink, I believe this was a sexually motivated crime. Most of what I theorize takes into account established statistical probabilities, victimology, and offender profiles in child abduction cases. Sadly, I think this sweet boy is resting somewhere in or just outside the Portland area waiting to be found.

But, let me ask you, Storm. What makes you so sure TMH is involved? What is it about the execution of this crime that points specifically to her in your mind? I am just curious and interested in comparing notes. Do you mind sharing?

Are you referring to the psychic detective site by chance?  They went to "members only" a while back, is why I ask - luckily I joined there right before this happened - I read there a LOT just before I found SM's .... I stopped reading there because it was depressing  I didn't agree with what "most" stated about his demise .... then last week I went back to read up on their posts .... and NOW it seems most of them think he's alive - 
While I do believe in psychic ability - I do think some/most? are "followers/wannabe's/etc"

I was fairly unaware of this whole human-trafficking thing until I watched a movie ... "Human Trafficking" ..... excellent movie ... Mira Sorvino & Donald Sutherland... while it mostly involved girls/women being held against their will as prostitutes ... it DID also go into the "child sex slave" aspects also .... Thailand/Mexico/USA ... all over    very Informative movie about "ICE" agents I thought...

Could this be the trail that LE is following in their search for Kyron? I know if I had to be the investigator on something like this, it would be something I "wouldn't want to know" either.
