Natalee's Family and the Upholding of Jossy Mansur

Beth Holloway

'Rita Cosby Live & Direct' for Sept. 14th
updated 9/15/2005 12:13:33 PM ET

BETH HOLLOWAY TWITTY, NATALEE HOLLOWAY‘S MOTHER: Well, you know, I‘ll be forever grateful for Jossy Mansur, who is there. And he has been so instrumental. And he‘s just a hero to all of us. And, you know, he‘s my only hope on the island. And we‘ll be forever grateful to him.

Dana Pretzer Show - February 12, 2008

Dana:  I’m going to throw out some names to you and I know you’ve done this line of questioning before from other show hosts but I’m curious to see what you have to say.  When I mention the name Jossy Mansur...

Beth:  Oh absolutely heroic, what a man, what a father, what a husband he is too... I mean my goodness.  What a business man he is...integrity.  And you know I will stand by Jossy because this is an individual that stepped forward for me, for human rights, and for justice.  And gosh what he did for me was he took such a burden off of me during the month of July of 05 when I felt as if I was kind of out there on the forefront by myself going against these perpetrators until Jossy Mansur stepped forward I felt like I had no other ally.  So you know he did the most amazing thing, and he went out on a limb and he you know for no reason other than doing the right thing and as I said being about professionalism, integrity, and respect for others human rights so absolutely what an amazing man.

Dana Pretzer Show - September 8, 2006

Dave: Jossy has been very helpful to try to find the truth, the fact he lives in Aruba and publishes a newspaper, they’re attacking him because he’s looking for– fighting for– the truth. That’s what a good journalist does–He’s going to go after the people, regardless, and try to find the truth.

Aruba: Hypocrites … MEP & Oduber call for Call for Boycott of Diario

I think he (Jossy) is a good man looking for the truth. He will not let them push him around. This is his home and is probably sick of the corruption that happens every day on such a large scale on such a small island. It happens here in the states, but at least its in check with the freedom’s that we enjoy when people report it.

I should thank them, too, because I'll have to stay away from Jeopardy & Wheel of Fortune on ABC!

Just heard ET say that they will continue the coverage on Monday.

At least we know that Maximum Highness lied when he said that the meeting only lasted one minute.

They did not sneak into the prison with hidden cameras.  The cameras were in place before the piece of excrement entered the room.  It's obvious they had cooperation from officials in Castro Castro.

I'm disappointed that ET didn't show it all at one time.  I might have cared about some of this other stuff another time...but not now!

The Insider also had a small segment.  I missed Tues, Wed. & Thurs.  They had an encounter in the hallway or somewhere outside the room Beth ended up meeting with him by accident and they both were taken by surprise.  She asked him then to give her information (my words).  Then in the room when he was brought in, she said she didn't come with hate (again my word).  She just wanted to know what happened and to bring Natalee home.  This show also said it would continue next week.

I had the same reaction to ET.  I've said it maybe in not so many words, but these shows are rag mags....I usually don't watch them.  No offense to Beth or Peter, but this venue sucks, for me.  I wish it were better.  jmho

If an underage Joran had not been permitted on the premises of the Excelsior Casino and Carlos and Charlies ... Natalee Holloway would have been with her friends on the flight home to Alabama ... to her family ... on the morning of May 30, 2005.

ARUBA: It's all about Natalee...we won't give up!

« Reply #475 on: November 05, 2010, 09:12:36 PM »

I'm trying to go back and recap some of what was said on tonight's Entertainment Tonight...it's so splintered I've tried to put some of it in order.  Please bear with me if I don't get exactly each word...I'm trying...but I'm having issues working the playback.  I've started over about 10 times, lol.

Some of the things Beth said...

"When we arrived at the gates of Castro Castro of course I was anxious, and I was nervous.  When we entered the prison grounds...I still felt...you know...confident that what I was doing was the right thing."

"He took my daughter, he took my life, he took my entire world!"

"I want to see him, I want to get face to face with him."

"I've hated him for five years, I've wanted to peel his skin off his face."

"I want answers, I want them now."

"I'm thinking this is it, this is my one chance...and I'm never...I will never get this chance again.  As my eyes met him and we were face to face....the only thing that I had left in me that I could do was to just speak from the heart."

"If he thinks I've been pestering him for five years...he hasn't seen anything yet.  Because if he wants to continue to sit there and insist that he doesn't have answers...and doesn't know what happened to Natalee...well then I want him to keep saying that when he's 60 years old sitting in prison."

"He can't even take a mother sitting in front of him to tell her the truth...that's pathetic...it's pathetic."

Speaking to Peter in front of the house Joran claimed Natalee is buried under..."It's another elaborately fabricated story from Joran.  And of course we thought...just maybe...just once...he was telling the truth....but no."

At the beach in Aruba..."It's what I can do now, is come here and look out, and I never could do that."

"I know that Joran will either spend the rest of his life living in a Peruvian prison, or...I will have Natalee...I will bring her home...and I will have the answers I have been so desperately seeking."

To Joran:

"I just wanted to get face-to-face with you."

"Joran, I've been a school teacher for 30 year and I felt like there was a real sincerity that you wanted to get this monkey off your back...and I thought I was, I mean, I though I was like, you know, that's where we were going."

"If it was an accident, tell me....you know, I don't know...I don't know."

"It's too late for Natalee...but it's not too late for you, Joran."

"I won't do anything until I get some information about Natalee."

"I want to know what happened and I want to move on, Joran.  I want to move on."

"You have your own life ahead, you're the boss of you.  But here Joran, time stands still...the clock stops..and you're just stranded in time."

"Joran, you don't need to lose your life here in prison, and be sitting here when your 60 years of age, and insisting to me that you don't know what happened."

"You can sit here for the rest of your life."

Joran says:

"I hope you can understand also, it's very hard...hard for me to talk to you."

"This is really not easy, I'm really doing my best.  And I know you have a really good heart...I know that...I know that for a fact...I mean I've made so many bad decisions and all for, for the wrong reasons."

Preview from Monday's ET show:

Joran:  "I've told so many lies."

Beth:  "You didn't listen to me then."

Joran:  "It's not something that's easy."

I agree.

Four cameras set up in the room prior to the meeting, Peter and his crew monitored the entire meeting from a nearby room.

When I think about those first reports...Beth arrested...etc...

You're welcome Magnolia.  I was really just guessing on some of it, I guess we'll know more about how it really went when Peter R. DeVries shows Part 2.  I think that's Sunday night.
