"$20 Per Gallon" author Christopher Steiner argues high gas prices will benefit the U.S. by forcing citizens to use less energy.

see video here - http://www.foxbusiness.com/index.html

Apparently this author wants to use the money to 'build out the infrastructure' we need in the future.

What infrastructure is that?  Electric cars?

Apparently we need higher gas prices to catch up with Europe and Asia.

Apparently, we need to lower our standard of living because more people are acquiring higher standards.

What's wrong with cheap readily available energy for everyone?

Apparently gas is 'undervalued' and we waste it.  What about the waste in Washington?  The welfare recipients that go on vacations?  Cruises with their benefit card?  Isn't welfare undervalued?

Wants tax rebates and grants for 'retooling'?
