Someone on a different site asked if it could be for Amy  Bradley ?
In a nutshell: In 1998, a pretty young American girl disappears from a
cruise ship near Arruba. The boat is near shore and she's a trained
life guard ruling out drowning and she had her whole life planned out
and it was unlikely she voluntarily disappeared. There were possible
sightings of Amy in Curaçao in 1998 and 1999. Two Canadian tourists
reported seeing a woman resembling Amy on a beach in Curaçao in 1998.
The woman's tattoos were identical to Amy's. In 1999 an American
sailor reported that he went to a brothel on Curaçao and was
approached by a young woman. She told him her name was Amy Bradley and
asked for his help. At this point, two men in the bar escorted her
upstairs. Unfortunately, by the time the witness reported this to
police several months later, the brothel had burned down.

Then in 2005, a man e-mailed pictures he was certain were Amy to her
family that he found on a South American Prostitution website. They
agreed. Police and FBI forensics experts conceeded it could well be
her. There seems to be nothing since this development.

Amy Bradley went missing in Curacao, not Aruba.  Way more likely it's Natalee.

Posted on the front page of SM by the gal who claims to have been with the tourists that found it:

kkthy
2010/11/18 at 5:19 am

We could kick ourselves for not taking a photo of the jaw bone. Sad It was found at that edge of the water where waves could have brought it up on shore, near where a jetty of rocks go out to protect the beach area. The jetty has been damaged due to the waves from storm Tomas and the waves were still large when we arrived last week. The waves damaged many resort shores and also brought in LOTS of debris and shells. The waves eroded beach fronts everywhere so also uncovered debris. The waves were relentless! Very unusual for Aruba. By midweek the waves stopped churning up the sand and the water began to clear. Usually the water is very clear and you can see the ocean bottom when you go in for a swim. My friend found it on Friday… our last day of vacation.

I appreciate kkthy's comments on the FP but I wish the finder of this jawbone would come forward and be identified.

As Nut pointed out ... Joran was too young to be involved in the disappearance of Amy.

Hi everyone,

I have been thinking like Anna for a long time that if and when we DO find Natalee, the whole picture of what happened to her will look very different than what we have all been surmising and thinking for these 5 long years. A different location, a different set of events on that night... maybe different people involved, or NOT involved.

We all kind of "locked in" on what we thought were facts early on. Joran's lies and Aruba's stubbornness should tell us that what we THOUGHT we knew, may not be in fact what really took place. The whole "dumped in the ocean off the Fishermen's Huts/hotels" scenario always has seemed too... simple and convenient. For Joran.

I have always worried that Joran's first set of lies made us more or less ignore an entire "rest of the island" and fix our attention on the small area around the hotels and Joran's house on the north end.

To be honest, I am looking forward to what new revelations may come.

Also, to be honest, I am not sure how I (or any of us) will deal with the REALITY if Natalee's remains are in fact found. She has been a Memory and a Theory to those of us who never met her... when there is a "body" she will become more REAL in a sense, sort of more tangible. For what good that will do.

I'll be seeing you!

Is it possible IF the jawbone was not planted by those behind the cover up in the Natalee Holloway case ... there could be an Amy Bradley connection?

Maybe they are going to break the information to us gradually to try to prevent a media frenzy.  Good luck with that.  Too many people care too much for this to not be big news.

First it's a jawbone, then white small female, then officially small female, etc. right up until they confirm that it is Natalee.  I think this could have already been pretty well eliminated by the one tooth if it were not her.  If the tooth is too large or too small, would eliminate her so apparently it is close enough that it could in fact be her.

I have always wondered if Natalee wasn't found almost immediately from the charges brought and van der Straaten's statement of knowing she was deceased for a fact.

So I will make the suggestion only as a possibility to be considered that Natalee's remains have been under the control of the Aruban government all along.

Well, even if she  is recovered and this is her, there are so many things we will never know for a fact, only what we can surmise from the actions of those in charge of all of this.

So I will make the suggestion only as a possibility to be considered that Natalee's remains have been under the control of the Aruban government all along.    Yes!

It's good to see all you Monkeys here again.  I am not overexcited about the prospect of this being something that will lead to something.  I do hope that it will lead to Joran being extradited to Alabama and receiving the ultimate penalty that we have for first-degree murder.  Other than that, I hope everyone is having a happy holiday season and I still love my monkey cookbook and refer to it often.  Hugs to all those participants and especially to those transcribing and putting it on the selling block.  I still love it years later.

Holloway's dad: Officials ask for dental records
By DANICA COTO, Associated Press Danica Coto, Associated Press 26 mins ago

SAN JUAN, Puerto Rico – Authorities have requested the dental records of missing U.S. teen Natalee Holloway, her father said Thursday, as Dutch investigators analyze a jawbone with a tooth in it that was found last week in Aruba.

Dave Holloway told The Associated Press he is in the process of providing the records and added that he has received no new official information on the case.

"The authorities haven't confirmed anything with me," he said in a telephone interview. "It's pretty much total silence."

He did not specify which authorities asked for the records.

A tourist found the bone last Friday and brought it to the front desk of the Phoenix Hotel, according to Ann Angela, spokeswoman for the Aruba prosecutor's office. It was then sent to the Netherlands for analysis, though there has been no announcement on whether the bone is human.

"If it turns out to be a human bone, the investigation will continue," Angela said. "We cannot say when the results will be in."

A forensic scientist in Aruba, however, has said that the bone is from a human female, Dave Holloway told the AP. Holloway said he received the information from a friend who spoke to the scientist. He did not identify either the friend or the scientist, and did not say whether the scientist is involved in the investigation or how he or she is otherwise in a position to know details of the case.

Natalee Holloway, of Mountain Brook, Alabama, was 18 when she disappeared while on a high school graduation trip to Aruba in 2005.

She was last seen leaving a bar with Dutchman Joran van der Sloot, the prime suspect in her disappearance, on the final night of her trip.

Aruba prosecutors have repeatedly said they lack evidence to charge Van der Sloot, who is currently in jail in Peru acused of killing a 21-year-old woman on May 30 — five years to the day after Holloway's disappearance.

The search for Holloway has seen numerous possible leads that turned into dead-ends.

Earlier this year, police launched an underwater search expedition after a couple from Pennsylvania took a picture of what they thought might have been a skull and bones.

Divers found nothing but rocks and coral.

I wonder why they would ask Dave for Natalee's dental records, since she lived with Beth.
I would think Beth would have her dental records in Birmingham.

Ok so has this has been proven NOT to be Natalee?

I don't think that is the case at all, Blonde.  I think we agreed years ago that there was no lower jaw
on the skull in that cage
.  JMO

I agree.  They collected all the bones in that cage.  And just because the lower jaw doesn't look attached doesn't mean it wasn't there.

We do know, however, from Kermit and Jen3560, that the FBI does now have the full-length video of the evidence recovery from the trap.  I imagine they know what was there and what wasn't.

I think we'd all have started a crusade to get the full tape released for analysis if not for the fact that we know its in the capable hands of the FBI.

Oh wait.  We know the FBI has all of the stills that Kyle shared with us.  That's all we know for sure - because I personally sent them to Carmen Adams.  No clue what, if anything, they followed up on with Kyle - or didn't follow up on.......

See this is where I don't trust anything coming out of Aruba.  I know they have to request these records but for some reason I think they do things for their own benefit.  Like requesting dental records to make sure the tooth don't match the one that is on the jaw bone on purpose.

Either way Aruba can say it's not a match.  They are corrupt and they can do anything they want.

Did Aruba ever have access to Natalee's dental records when she first went missing?

Why not just send the jaw bone here to the U.S. for testing.

They are all POS.
