You would think the people who own Fox would get it right.  This was old news that it was the bone of a young woman.  Why would they put Breaking News when it was old news to us

Fox is reporting it as breaking news but I think we already knew.  Bone confirmed to be a young woman.

An Aruban prosecutor said Thursday that a jawbone found on the island last week belongs to a young woman, signaling a potential link to Natalee Holloway, the US teen who went missing under mysterious circumstances in 2005, WSFA-TV reported.

The 18-year-old Alabama teen was last seen leaving a bar in Oranjestad, the Aruban capital, while on the final night of a high school graduation trip. The subsequent search and investigation generated headlines around the world. Her body has never been found.

DNA testing is currently being performed on the bone to see if it belongs to Holloway.

Mary Ann, I hope it belongs to Natalee for Beth's sake. I haven't been able to hold out any hope that she's alive for a long time, but I would love for Beth to be able to have a decent burial and to know that to some degree, Natalee is away from Aruba and has come home. JMO.

I have mixed emotions about this.  In one way I want it to be Natalee so Beth can have her closure and in another way it's not enough.  I personally believe they have her body so in that instance I want Beth to have all of her returned to her rightful place for a proper burial.  They won't do it because then we will find out the truth which by they way we have known all along.

I guess Fox News is teasing us again.  But at least this has been confirmed at NFI.  A female jawbone is quite different from a male which is much heavier. 

But at least we know they are actually working on this.  Maybe this is to slowly let us know it is Natalee and have everybody focused on the results so the whole world will know and put an end to it all.Just thinking out loud.

I was thinking maybe you did see what you thought you saw on NY Post.  I know they create different headlines, just in case.  Maybe the wrong web skins got put up and then they took them down. 

NY Daily News, same thing....DH's family owned a store and the Front Page & Back Page might not have been the same as those bought on the street in NYC, early edition.

AFAIK, the U.S. is not even a signatory to the ICC at the Hague.  Unless this has happened under the current admininstration and I missed it.  We have avoided participation to prevent our troops from facing war crimes trials by every country that doesn't agree with us on middle eastern activities.  In other words, Islamic extremists would love to keep us tied up in court forever more.

So I don't think the Hague is an issue at all.  And we do have new and far more drastic laws since 9/11 with regard to international crimes against Americans.

And the U.S. has extradition treaty with Peru and The Netherlands does not.  Peru does not have to do anything with The Netherlands and there are about 100 Dutch citizens in that very jail I believe it has been stated.  At least a goodly nnhumber.

As I watched NG last night, I couldnt help but think that the 3 musketeers bar was to symbolize Joran & the brothers.   I found the brief interview disturbing, the foremost reaction was that Beth deep down knows by now that she is not going to get much of any truth from this sociopath monster.   The moment he said he would write her & used the excuse he needed time is the moment it should be realized that he's had more than ample time, cant use the excuse his lies &  horrible crimes are to support his gambling addiction in jail.  I am totally against a plea being offered for information on Natalee if its going to mean he will not face the fullest consequence for what he did to Stephany.  This monster deserves no break in what he should face for all  his crimes, IMHO.   Joran's attempt to be cordial was transparent, which even to an untrained eye could be seen at the end when he turned back as he was escaping Beth yet once again to crack a smile & toy with her some more, that inandofitself exhibits just how cold, calculated & unremorseful he is.

My empathy has been with this family along with all of you for years, but I must say this in the most respectful manner as I can, its one thing to search for the truth & be diligent in that effort but I cannot understand the regular use of tabloid type reporters to advance that cause on Beth's part.   Joran doesnt give a dang what this family has been thru, never will.   The only way he will ever voluntarily tell what happened is if his own life is on the line, maybe not even then.

I'm cautiously hopeful this jaw bone is with deep regret indeed Natalee, this entire family has suffered long enough.

How many times did they bring Joran home for questioning on Thanksgiving and Christmas.  I remember one Christmas in particular.  They weren't questioning him they were just bringing the spoiled punk home with a police escort.  They were getting everyones hopes up thinking they would finally charge him with a crime only to find out they snuck him out.

The reason I would like this to be Natalee is because for those less familiar with the case, it will be understood, once and for all that Natalee is gone.
If the jaw renders evidence of a date-rape drug, that would be even better
as it would fit in with what is thought to have happened at C & C's.

I doubt that it would lead an arrest. 

The thought that Natalee was once whole and vibrant and that is all that is left for Beth and Dave to bury, is sad beyond words.
