(WHAS11) - An Amber Alert has been issued for a 12-year-old Kyra Shockley and 15-year-old Christopher Endicott missing from Edmonton, Kentucky.  They are believed to be with another male.  No other details about the unknown male are available at this time.

15 year old C.E. has been arrested for the murders of his guardians, one of whom
is said to be a distant relative.  The 12 year old girl has been released to her parents.

This is a sad ending all around.

Update to the Death Investigation and Amber Alert in Metcalfe County

Date of News Release: 03/23/2011

(Columbia, Ky.) -- Following interviews with Post 15 Detectives the 15-year-old juvenile has been charged with Murder in the deaths of Gary and Barbara Halloway. He was also charged with Fleeing and Evading Police, 1st Degree, Motor Vehicle; Wanton Endangerment 1st Degree; Reckless Driving; No Operator's License and Criminal Mischief 3rd. The traffic charges were related to the traffic stop on KY 0090 when the juveniles were located. A short pursuit ensued and the driver drove off of the roadway and through a fence. The two were apprehended after a short foot chase. The 15-year-old male juvenile was lodged in the Adair County Youth Development Center. The 12-year-old juvenile was released to a parent. The investigation is ongoing and more charges could be forth coming pending a Grand Jury hearing. Autopsies are currently underway.

Slain Ky. couple banned teen from seeing girl

EDMONTON, Ky. — A troubled 15-year-old shot and killed relatives who had taken him in because his mother could not control him, then stole their car and fled with the younger girlfriend they had ordered him not to see, police and family members said

Family members said the boy was an eighth-grader at the local middle school who habitually got in trouble for bringing cigarettes to school, bullying other children, and talking back to his teachers.

Barbara Holloway, his second cousin, had taken him in three months ago, said her sister, Ruby Whitehead. Family members said his father is in prison.

"He's always been abandoned his whole life," said Elizabeth Osborn, a friend of the Holloway's son, Stephen. "... I guess the first people who showed him love, he didn't know how to take it."

Then there was the relationship with the 12-year-old, which Osborn said both the Holloways and the girl's mother tried to end. There was no indication the girl was involved in the killing, and police said she was released after they questioned her.

"We had been trying to fight it and keep them apart," Osborn said. "Barb had grounded him from seeing her or talking to her."
