I watched the other day on TV a host shout down a union woman who was promoting a return to manufacturing to revitalize our nation.  What nation can survive when nobody goes to work everyday?

Any chance those rich global bankers and industrialists are going to pay our welfare tab?  I don't think so.

He kept shouting that 'manufacturing' jobs were 'yesterday's' jobs.  Really?  For some reason, China is an economic powerhouse, based on yesterday's jobs.  Today, millions in China go to work each day making things Americans made yesterday.

Are union jobs the answer?  I don't think so.  Unions had every opportunity to buy companies in an honest fashion, and run them for the benefit of workers.  How many have they purchased?  How many companies have become models of socialist/touchy-feely policies?  None come to mind.

At  any time, unions and other liberals could have purchased good manufacturing and insurance companies and 'converted' them into the change they want to foist on all Americans.

What do unions seem to do instead?  They try to confiscate the fruits of others labor.  They  want all the fruit, and want to destroy the tree too.  jmho

What about those technology jobs?  Are they likely to save the nation?  Where are they?  Some have promoted 'technology' jobs just like Obama promoted 'green' jobs.  They don't seem to exist in the US.  Obama spent billions sending greenbacks to China to put Chinese workers to work and Americans get stuck with this generational debt.

Any difference between the green and technology jobs?  Weren't those green jobs supposed to be technology jobs?  Jobs for the future that couldn't be exported?

Why would anyone invest in America?  Build any kind of factory here?  High tech?  When they can get cheaper labor and hugh government subsidies in other countries, and probably get Obamacash too?

When will Obama stop investing in low technology jobs in OTHER nations?  Jobs like oil production?  What's wrong with investing in America?  Hard working Americans?

I think 'technology' jobs are a myth.

When I look at all the goods in Walmart, JC Penny, Kohls, and other stores, I see opportunity.  Why aren't more of those goods made in America?

The union woman saw opportunity too.  Why wouldn't the business guy on Fox see opportunity too?  Who wouldn't see opportunity and profit?

Why wouldn't any innovator or opportunist see the opportunity for Americans to make those goods?  Take market share from those foreign workers?

The only ones I see NOT wanting to lose market share are foreign workers, big global companies, and Barack Obama.  All of these folks don't want competition, or they don't seem to want Americans to have jobs.  my opinions.

Why can't a Main Street working American, or union invest in a startup company to make these products?

Why isn't Obama doing something for American small business?

The only ones who don't seem to see the opportunities in Walmart are the special interests - big global banks, big global companies, big government, and big unions.

Why shouldn't Americans go for all the $$$ opportunities that exist in Walmart?  Take that market share away from foreign workers?  Isn't that how capitalism works?  Even in the socialist/communist system, folks need jobs, need to work.

Why shouldn't Americans be encouraged to prosper?  I would imagine those technology jobs are a lot like the green jobs, they exist only in the minds of special interests and politicians.

Nothing for Main Street.
