In this case alone, its not the first time, but yes.  There are many examples of the media community milking a story for ratings/hits or misrepresenting its content via teasers daily, sad & annoying but not shocking.

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Prosecutors have released more discovery in the Casey Anthony murder case.

Anthony, 24, is charged with first-degree murder in the 2008 death of her 2-year-old daughter, Caylee Marie. She has pleaded not guilty, claiming a babysitter kidnapped her toddler. Caylee was last seen in June of 2008, but she was not reported missing until a month later. Her remains were found in woods near the family's home in December 2008.
Her murder trial is set to start next May.

On Friday prosecutors released a DVD containing investigative documents, audio files of interviews conducted by investigators, as well as copies of several letters. Those letters were written by are Casey to Robyn Adams, a former Orange County jail inmate.

Also on the DVD are photos taken by Joy Ray, a volunteer with Texas Equusearch taken during a search for Caylee.

Just-released evidence in the Casey Anthony case include letters from Anthony to a woman she befriended in jail about paternity tests that were taken to determine the identity of Caylee's father.

The letter says at least one person – one of Casey Anthony's former boyfriends, Jesse Grund – was ruled out as the father.

It doesn't appear as if Casey named the father in the letter addressed to then-Orange County Jail inmate Robyn Adams.

The evidence also includes transcripts of interviews between investigators and various people connected to the case, including a woman who said she had a close relationship with Casey's father, George Anthony.
That woman, Krystal Holloway, who also uses the name River Cruz, said George Anthony confided in her that Caylee's death was "an accident that snowballed out of control."

No details were included about the circumstances of the alleged accident.

Woman says George attacked daughter

During the Feb. 26 interview with Orange County detectives, Holloway said she gave George Anthony several thousand dollars to help him save his home. At one point, George Anthony asked her for $20,000, Holloway said. She didn't give him that much.

She became friends with George Anthony during the summer 2008 after she volunteered with Kid Finders, an organization that helped the Anthony family look for Caylee before her remains were discovered in December 2008.

In her interview with detectives, Holloway said she and George Anthony gradually started hanging out more and more often. Holloway told detectives the two were more than friends but never had sexual relations.

Holloway also said George Anthony told her he attacked his daughter during one of the times she was home from jail.

George Anthony questioned Casey Anthony about what happened to the dead toddler. When Casey Anthony refused to answer him, he grabbed her around her neck and told her to get out of his house.
HHe grabbed her and choked her like this and threw her up against the wall," Holloway told investigators. "He just said that he snapped and he grabbed her around her throat."

Cindy Anthony had to intervene and get George Anthony off of their daughter, reports show.

'I was a great mom!'

About a dozen letters from Casey Anthony to her jail friend were included in today's evidence release.

In one letter, Anthony rehashes a version of what she said happened to her daughter – a story investigators have said is not true – that the young mother gave Caylee to nanny named Zenaida Fernandez-Gonzalez, and that the two later vanished.

Other details released today include letters from Anthony complaining about having seizures in jail.

Casey confides in her jail pal that she had a miscarriage in 2007. She told her brother, Lee Anthony, about it and he told their mother on her 21st birthday.

Casey also said, "One of the biggest things that truly cuts me when I hear them talk about me as a mother – I was a great mom! And I love my daughter with everything that I have. I would give my life to have her back even for five minutes."

Such handwritten letters from Anthony to Adams have been released in the past. Investigators learned that while together at the Orange County Jail, Adams and Anthony secretly wrote each other letters and had clandestine chats.

Adams, a convicted drug dealer, is now in federal prison. The two exchanged notes -- sometimes every other day -- through a book, Do Away With August.

Other evidence released today includes photos, video and audio recordings.
At least some of the images on a DVD released this morning appear as if they were pulled from someone's Myspace.com account. It's unclear whose account they are from or why they are significant.

The release is yet another step for the defense and prosecution they gear up for the start of next year's trial against the Orange County woman accused of killing her 2-year-old daughter in 2008.

Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in connection to the death of her daughter, Caylee Marie.

She is being held without bail at the Orange County Jail.

The Monster Mash video is funny, but boy, does it chronical Casey's descent into "ugly" since she's been in jail. It does my heart good to know that as vain as she is, it must bother her to look in a mirror. You'd think looking in a mirror at the murderer of your child would be horrifying, but I really think her appearance gets to her more. Whatever physical attractiveness she had upon entering jail, it's all gone now. A remake of that video with a current picture would really be a monster!

One of the audio recordings released is an interview prosecutors and Orange County Sheriff's Investigators did with Texas EquuSearch volunteer Joe Jordan, who told them another volunteer was making up stories and falsifying documents to help Casey.

EquuSearch volunteer Laura Buchanan is the focus of the information released Friday in the murder case against Casey Anthony. Buchanan, who is under investigation now for allegedly creating false documents concerning her search for Caylee, is accused by volunteer Joe Jordan of trying to get him to change his story about searching the exact area where Caylee was later found.

"I was a little questionable about this woman, so I asked her not to contact me again," Jordan says in the audio interview. "She told me she was working with Baez and they wanted me to come in and talk to them."

Buchanan was trying to convince Jordan that he searched the exact area where Caylee was found three months earlier and saw nothing. He told investigators he only spent about five minutes in the general area, because much of it was under water.

Jordan told investigators he could not search the exact area because of the flooding, but that the defense team's private investigator, Mortimer Smith, showed him a document he didn't recognize that contained erroneous information about his searches on Suburban Drive.

What is in the latest document dump in the Casey Anthony case?

A sideshow, loose ends and stale material, WKMG-Channel 6′s blunt Tony Pipitone said at noon today. Pipitone is a good, concise guide through the mounds of repetitive material in the long-running case. In his entertaining frustration, Pipitone asks: Why keep going over the same old ground?

Anthony is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, 2-year-old Caylee. The trial is scheduled to begin in May.

“There’s other old, rehashed stuff in today’s discovery dump, including interviews and background on people who claim things that are not credible and will probably never get into the trial,” Pipitone said.

Under the sideshow category, Pipitone mentioned “a woman who claims, without any evidence, that she had an intimate relationship with George Anthony,” Casey’s father. Pipitone also cited “a mentally ill woman who claims Caylee’s body was not in the woods when she went to see and inspect that area.”

These people don’t appear credible but make “good tabloid fodder,” Pipitone said.  He also highlighted that letters Casey Anthony wrote to a jail pen pal are better copies of material released months ago.”The same information, just another day,” Pipitone said.

WESH-Channel 2 played a tape of jail pen pal Maya Derkovic. She said that Anthony told her “maybe she should have waited to have a baby, because she was young and she wanted to live life. Maybe she should never have had a baby.”

WFTV-Channel 9 played a tape of searcher Joe Jordan, who said another searcher, Laura Buchanan, said she was working with Anthony attorney Jose Baez. Jordan also said that a defense private investigator showed him document that contained erroneous information about Jordan’s search of the area on Suburban Drive, where the toddler’s remains were found.

WINTER PARK, Fla. -- Handwritten letters were made public Friday in the Casey Anthony case. In one of the letters written to another inmate, Anthony said a former boyfriend told her he was not her daughter’s father.Anthony, accused of killing her daughter, Caylee, wrote to inmate Robyn Adams that a man named Jesse took a paternity test and showed her that he was not the baby’s father.

“According to the paper he brought to my house in Sept. ’05,” she wrote, “Jesse wasn’t the father. Joy to the world.”

George's Alleged Mistress Reveals Details In Casey Case

ORLANDO, Fla. -- Evidence released Friday unveiled new details about the secrets in Casey Anthony's family. Who really is Caylee's father? And George Anthony's alleged mistress told investigators all she knew about the case against Casey.
The evidence includes the interrogations of the alleged mistress and there were a couple of things we'd never seen or heard before.

One of them was Casey's father's alleged mistress telling investigators what George told her about how Caylee was killed and why he was apparently lying to them and to the public. While she says she was divulging some of her former lover George Anthony's deep secrets, she revealed some of her own.

Her real name is Krystal Holloway, but says she created a new name, River Cruz, and a whole new life to escape her past. She said even George didn't know; he thought she was an illegal immigrant.

Holloway reluctantly told investigators what she says George told her: that, at first, when he said Casey's car smelled like a dead body he didn't think Casey had murdered Caylee, but later he changed his mind.

"There was one time that he was really pissed and he threw her up against the wall and choked her," Holloway told investigators.

"OK. Do you know why he threw her against the wall and choked her?" Sgt. John Allen asked.

"Because he said, 'I know you killed her. What did you do to her?' And he choked her and Cindy had to get George off of, off of Casey.

"How do you know this?" Allen asked.

"He told me," she said.
Holloway told detectives George wanted to throw Casey out of the house when she was back home after bailing out of jail.

"Because it was too many lies," Holloway told investigators.

But she says George then lied to investigators and to the public about someone else murdering Caylee.

"He didn't want to have to lose his other kid. He lost one," she said.

Casey's letters to jail pen pal Robyn Adams were also released. About Caylee's father she wrote: "Am 99% sure that Cays isn't Jesse's. We had a paternity test done." She and her family tried to cast suspicion on Jesse Grund, her former fiance. Even if she knows who Caylee's father is, she's never made it known publicly.

I have to say that Krystal sounds really tortured with emotion during the interview, however she really should have come forward with her information instead of the cops having to discover her. She sounds half way intelligent, but her priorities are mixed up. Loyalty is one thing, but the knowledge she had could have turned the table on the A's lies way sooner.

My guess is most of them have not heard or read it. We are much more informed and well read than any of the reporters except for Kathy. I notice them all the time screwing up information because they write something that was disproved months ago.
