I'm passing this lit candle to the next person on the prayer list, and sharing some scripture on the power of prayer. Thank you for the honor of allowing me to take these concerns to God in prayer.

Isa 33:2

2 O LORD, be gracious to us;
we long for you.
Be our strength every morning,
our salvation in time of distress.
(from New International Version)

Heb 4:14-16
 Jesus the Son of God, let us hold firmly to the faith we profess. 15 For we do not have a high priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet was without sin. 16 Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
(from New International Version)

Ps 5:1-3
Give ear to my words, O LORD,
consider my sighing.
2 Listen to my cry for help,
my King and my God,
for to you I pray.
3 In the morning, O LORD, you hear my voice;
in the morning I lay my requests before you
and wait in expectation.
(from New International Version)

Luke 11:9-10

9 "So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you. 10 For everyone who asks receives; he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks, the door will be opened.
(from New International Version)

Matt 18:19-20

19 "Again, I tell you that if two of you on earth agree about anything you ask for, it will be done for you by my Father in heaven. 20 For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them."

Thank you CBB for the candle and prayers.  I hope pur prayers are able to help our monkeys and their loved ones and all others on our lists.  I know that I feel much calmer and stronger now.  God Bless all who read here.

Here is my favourite :

PRAYER OF ST FRANCIS.

Lord, make me an instrument of Your peace.
Where there is hatred, let me sow love;
where there is injury, pardon;
where there is doubt, faith;
where there is despair, hope;
where there is darkness, light;
and where there is sadness, joy.
O, Divine Master,
grant that I may not so much seek
to be consoled as to console;
to be understood as to understand;
to be loved as to love;
for it is in giving that we receive;
it is in pardoning that we are pardoned;
and it is in dying that we are born to eternal life.

Taking over from Lalasmom - Prayers for dear Natalee, her family and loved ones; and all who have been touched by her life and story.
Prayers for all other families who have missing loved ones.  God give them strength to carry on and their angel to walk beside them always.
Prayers for all who are abused, especially the little children and the animals.

THE TWENTY THIRD PSALM

The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want.
He maketh me to lie down in green pastures,
He leadeth me beside still waters.
He restoreth my soul.
He leadeth me in the paths of righteousness, for His name's sake.
Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I will fear no evil, for Thou art with me;
Thy rod and Thy staff, they comfort me.
Thou preparest a table before me, in the presence of mine enemies;
Thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.
Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the Lord forever.

I do not know if this is where I do this, so I may post it in the prayer thread too.

God our Father, life of the faithful, glory of the humble,
happiness of the just, hear our prayers.

This prayer has gotten me through a lot, it was my Grandmother's favorite.

The Serenity Prayer
God, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change,
Courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

Living one day at a time; Enjoying one moment at a time;
Accepting hardship as the pathway to peace.
Taking, as He did, this sinful world as it is, not as I would have it.

Trusting that He will make all things right if I surrender to His Will;
That I may be reasonably happy in this life,
and supremely happy with Him forever in the next.
Amen.

God Bless all the monkeys for out of the pure goodness of thier hearts they formed this group to help a family and pray for thier daughter. Where ever she is please God watch over her and her family. Give them peace in mind and in heart, let it all be resolved soon.

I pray that Saint Beuno to look over all the sick children and animals.

May God's hand guide the surgeons hands during Cubbeegirl's friend, Denise's surgery this morning.

God Bless the family that lost a daughter, let them feel peace in thier hearts that she is in a better place among angels.

I pray for LaLa's friend. and Thank God that Cubbee and her friend are doing so much better and continue to do so.

I pray for KatysMom little grand daughter to keep improving with the loving care of her son and her.

I thank God for my Mom getting through her surgery. I pray for her headaches to stop during her recovery and she can find a few night's of restful sleep.

God Bless all the Monkeys, and the people they have asked prayers for that I have not mentioned above, God bless even the monkeys that haven't asked for a prayer but need one for whatever may be troubling them.

I thank God for all that we do have, and take comfort in knowing he doesn't make us go through anything we can not handle.

I am here. I just lit a candle here :
http://www.gratefulness.org/candles/candles.cfm?l=eng

I was reading all the paryers and thinking of what a great group of people are here.There have been things that have divided us, but the things that unite us are stronger. I am grateful to have met this group of people who share the values that I do.
I am going back to the candle site to think and pray.

Sorry the intitial on the candle was NAH.I have also been praying that there will be justice for Natalee and peace for Beth, Jug, Dave and Robin. Matt. Paul Reynolds. All of Natalee's family. They were dealt a blow that most of us could not imagine.
They have shown us grace and patience. They have not given up or walked away. They have shown me courage. I admire all of them.
Peace Love and Prayers to all of the Monkeys.

Monkeys, Once again your goodness makes me proud of all of you... for all the things I requested to be prayed over, I feel will be fine.

I said a prayer for each of your concerns and thanked God for taking some of us through bad health, or hard times and making us whole.
