Updated today at 11:38 AM

PHOENIX -- A loaded magazine to a semiautomatic weapon was found on a Phoenix-bound flight Tuesday morning.

According to CNN, a child was kicking something under a seat on Southwest Flight 1297 from Burbank to Phoenix. A flight attendant picked it up and did not know what it was.

CNN photojournalist Gregg Canes was on the flight and noticed it was a loaded magazine to a semiautomatic weapon and told the flight attendant. The flight attendant took it to the pilot.

The flight arrived safely in Phoenix at approximately 10:30 a.m.

Southwest Airlines spokeswoman Brandy King told CNN that three passengers were re-screened. Local authorities are handling the investigation.

Details will be updated as they become available.

I would love to know how that happened? Let's see, what happened to the body scan and pat down?

And they go ahead and pat down little kids, handicapped people and elderly in wheelchairs. No excuse for this at all in my book.

Brian had to take his prosthetic arm off one time before a flight to SF.  They looked down it and ran that explosive detection stuff all over inside and out.
Same flight:   delayed for 2 1/2 hrs waiting for a  new crew as the scheduled pilot was drunk when he showed up.

I was flying from Birmingham to Tampa for New Years Before I started Chemo. I asked them to be careful with the pat down because I had just had 3 surgeries on 1 breast and 1 on the other. They took me to an office and made me strip to the waist before they would allow me to board. It was embarrassing.

Dear God, I'm sure you were embarrassed, that was so unnecessary to do that on you  an angelic monkey  I'm very modest, and I have to say that I wouldn't know what to do, but guess that in order to fly they would have to do that

My fear was that they would take the dressings off and I wouldn't be able to put them back on again. They didn't do that so I guess I was lucky. The thing was that I still wasn't comfortable with the way I looked and it really upset me.

I just sent a mass email to all my contacts in my address book with a copy of Taco Stein's statement and the fact they never bothered to notify Natalee's family. I told them if they chose to vacation in Aruba then they support this kind of action.

Dr. Phillips Hospital ER Placed On Lockdown

ORANGE COUNTY, Fla. -- Dr. Phillips Hospital's emergency room was placed on lockdown Tuesday. A patient came in with an unknown chemical on her, according to Katie Dagenais, Public Affairs Manager for M. D. Anderson Cancer Center Orlando and Dr. P. Phillips Hospital

Ambulances are being redirected, but walk-in patients are being treated.

A statement from Dr. P. Phillips Hospital reads: "The Dr. P. Phillips Hospital emergency department is on lock down as a precautionary measure because of an exposure to a chemical that came in with a patient. That patient is being treated. No patient care within the hospital has been affected. Dr. P. Phillips Hospital's emergency department is treating walk-in patients at this time. Patients coming into the emergency department via ambulance are being diverted to other nearby facilities."

No other details are available at this time.
