All Monkeys please keep your heads down in the stormy weather.  It is icky here and very windy but not stormy.

Brandi, so glad canine Brandi got a good report!  Those yearly checks are really getting expensive, aren't they?  I never thought of owning a pooch as an abject luxury, but it is seeming to be so!

Cookie................I need the name/number of your house/dog sitter, please!!   My youngest just finished his Masters Degree and there is a big party in Champaign I need to attend on Jan 2!!       I am proud of him.  He finished this all the while managing his full time work at UofI, 3 children (one adopted from China during his studies), church activities and maintaning marriage to a very high maintenance wife.   (NEVER QUOTE ME......NEVER!!)

Tol (who is not sounding so tolerant w/ that last sentence...........)

Storms, high wind, local flooding and tornado watches for Trimm's and 4 Donks' area. I thought of you when I got up and saw the weather reports. Stay safe!!!

The high winds are not expected here until late tonight or tomorrow.

Trimm, I agree with the others, you'll love your SUV. Just be aware, you will not get decent gas mileage. We bought ours knowing that, and I don't drive a lot, so the gas consumption/price has not been an issue.

Hope JSM is having a wonderful time with her new hubby.

Tolerance, I know what you mean about pets being a luxury item. LOL Keeping up with a healthy pet is expensive. The heartguard for 6 months was almost $45. I am going to look into buying that online soon. Along with the flea stuff we use. We only give Brandi the flea stuff a few times a year during the spring and summer though. I don't think it is very good for them, but neither are fleas. And she has never had a flea in her 11 years! I must say though, we love our Vet. Our animal hospital has quite a few Vets and we "tried out" 3 before we got her. She is so wonderful and we make appointments with her every time.

Hope everyone stays safe and has a wonderful day.

The sad stories of all these beautiful children are really horrifying.
I am just distraught thinking of a child going unloved or being used to further an agenda.
I applied to do emergency foster care in IL.   I passed all the way through till the health certificate.  They would not approve me after reading my health history.
Seriously,
could I be more a danger than the things some children could be facing unloved and unwanted?
Really?
I am going to reopen my application and see if they will reconsider my application.

Hey Brandi!
We don't go a lot either.Hubby is on the road more during hunting season, but most of the time we are home.
Amazon.com is my friend.Saves me from having to go out too much.
And on the flea treatments.I don't like to use a lot of that either.digger has had bad reactions before.
He does good on the little Capstar tablets.I can get by with 1/2 dose every few days.

Tol I keep him clipped in the summer because of the heat and you really cannot bathe them. In the winter I let him grow out and he felts naturally and the fur grows around the felted fur into cords. He looks huge when grown out.
