Hi Monkeys, been really busy and stressed lately. Will catch up tomorrow, promise. I have been up since 4 something this morning due to a fire in Chicago. Hope everyone is okay and prayers for 4 donks. Going to walk Josef and eat my sammich and call it a night.

Sleep well. I was just wondering how you were doing as the big day approaches!

I figured you are stressed right now with the upcoming wedding and a car that is in the repair shop!

I hope the fire did not affect CC.

Thinking of you, JSM!

Kiss Josef for me.

JSM and Greeneyes, Thanks for your kind response about my sister-in-law.  Having her here is the hardest thing I've ever done, except for when my husband was in a terminal coma.  She has lost control of her bowels and is incontinent.  I have a young woman who comes in three times a week to help take care of her, but I can't take her anywhere and I can't leave her at home alone so I don't have much of a life right now.  I took her in after my brother died four years ago because she had no where to go.  Her daughter lives in Tucson, but they have been estranged for years.

Whatever--I'll handle it. Thanks again.

RIP Furby

I had to have Furbs put to sleep today. I held her while they did it and I know it was best for her but am having a hard time right now. Thanks to everyone who helped me through this last while. You are all appreciated.

I'm really sorry, 4 donks.

I did the baby monitor with the lady I cared for...our bedrooms were at oppsite ends of the house...I always feared she would get up at night to go to the bathroom and fall  or call me and  and I would not hear her...it does give you a peace of mind. Just a little hint...tell your dad its a noise detector...when you tell older people its a baby monitor they tend to get offended
I will, thanks. It is a shame getting old, and watching you know this will happen to you, and what can you do? He is doing good right now in the sun. I can't keep him from going back and forth from the sun, I make sure it isn't too hot, which it isn't and that he is drinking.

Oh no rose, you certainly do have your hands full!

I am so sorry you are stressed.

I cannot imagine the panic you must have gone through last night.

Wish I could add some suggestions about keeping him safe. Green Eyes had some great ideas.

Just know I am thinking of you.
Thank-you  an angelic monkey  The terminex man just left and he removed the lamps and the darn mouse got out so he set a bunch of traps. The wrappings that I had the lamps in are all chewed and full of bird food

I see a perfect place in avi for Brandi to put your new friend....right under the table...a little mouse with a twitching nose

You mean here?

Hahaha. Great idea, mymonkey!

The same picture I had in my  mind, now the little critter needs a name

I hope I can make this work, it is an e-mail I got today from my mom! So totally cracked me up!

Subject: Save The Trees
Global warming is one thing, but look at what might happen if we continue to clear our forests!

We have to stop cutting down trees! This is getting serious!

I want to thank you for your kindness. It is appreciated. Brandi I'm using your beautiful artwork as my wallpaper on my computer. It makes me smile when I look at it. The other dogs are still looking for her and are confused but we'll get through this together and once again thanks.

I am glad I helped you to smile.

I also hope your dogs and you can comfort each other. I know to non-animal people, that may seem odd, but I do believe talking to them and loving on them will help you all through this time.

You did right by Furby and made her life a good one while you had her. Your love for her and hers for you will live on forever.

I continue to have you in my thoughts.

Good morning all.

Thanks for the thoughts Trimm - I feel the strength of all of your prayers everyday. I had a dream about SIL last night where she came to say goodbye. Not sure if any of you believe in this type of stuff (I really am a skeptic myself but . . ). Every time I have dreamed of a person coming to say goodbye they have either already passed or do so very soon. One time was with my grandmother - who was old but not too sick and her death was a shock to all. The good thing is that it gives me a sense of peace to see the person peaceful and know they are alright. So, I am kind of dreading the day for fear she will pass, but comfortable that she has seen her family and is at peace.

Wow, I can ramble at times! Thanks for listening gals - have I said lately how much I love being a monkey?  an angelic monkey

Just in case you ever get these two environments mixed up:

@ PRISON
You spend most of your
time in a 10X10 cell

@ WORK
 You spend most of your
time in an 6X6 cubicle

@ PRISON
You get three meals a
day, fully paid for

@ WORK
You get a break for one meal and
you have to pay for it

@ PRISON
For good behavior,
you get time off

@ WORK
For good behavior,
you get more work

@ PRISON
The guard locks and unlocks
all the doors for you

@ WORK
You must carry a security card
and open all the doors yourself

@ PRISON
You can watch TV
and play games

@ WORK
You could get fired for watching
TV and playing games

@ PRISON
You get your own toilet

@ WORK
You have to share the toilet with
people who pee on the seat

@ PRISON
They allow your family
and friends to visit

@ WORK
You aren't even supposed to speak
to your family

@ PRISON
All expenses are paid by the
taxpayers with no
work required

@ WORK
You must pay all your expenses to go
to work, and they deduct taxes from
your salary to pay for prisoners

@ PRISON
You spend most of your life inside
bars wanting to get out

@WORK
You spend most of your time wanting
to get out and go inside bars

@ PRISON
You must deal with sadistic wardens

@ WORK
They're called 'managers'

THERE IS SOMETHING SERIOUSLY
WRONG WITH THIS SCENARIO.

Now get back to work.
You're not getting paid to check forums!
