I am about to listen to Dana on the radio.

Have any of you ever made the quilted Christmas ball ornaments?
This is the instructions.
http://www.make-stuff.com/projects/quiltball.html
Here are some photos I saw on this website.
http://dustyoakornaments.com/category_89/2/Christmas-Ornaments.htm

I have a lot of these for my mom and favorite Aunt.I am gonna try and do some for myself this year. They are fun to make.I have bags full of fabric to go through.
I bet Greeneyes has done this before since she quilts.
Yes,I have lost my mind.     Hubby is giving me the look again when he sees all this coming out of the closet.
See you monkeys in the morning.

Wow those are cool Trimm. But have never made them. Maybe Northern Rose has made them.
JSM glad to see you made it in to the cage. Hope you get some rest tonight.

I bet you're right.That NorthernRose is a crafty one.

I am NOT crafty.  I am a crafty wannabe.  I have all the 'stuff' you need to be crafty.  I buy it, but then one day I finally realized you can't buy talent.
Not saying I am completely 'talentless'.  There are things I am pretty good at..............but crafts are surely NOT among them.
I marvel when I see what others can produce from all the yarn, textiles, beads, and so on that are in my plastic containers.........
I wanted to scrapbook and make my own greeting cards.  I have all the paper, vellum cut outs, special glue, stampers, envelopes, trinkets, embellishments................yada yada yada.  oh, and lots of enthusiasm.  No matter how I work at it the end product looks just like the things my sons brought home from art class in grade school........................
I admire those of you who can create!!  and I love craft shows, alas, I will never have a booth..........not even a folding table. LOL
Tol
Move over and make room for me Tol. I still have a sewing machine that is still sealed in the original box.

4Donks,
I was so sad to read about Furby.   Putting a friend 'down' is horrible, even when it is completely the right thing to do.
I love that you held her while she crossed.  I always do that, too.  Our faithful friends deserve that, no matter how hard it is to do.
Thank you for missing me.
I will be more faithful in posting.

Sometimes I have to withdraw a bit and lick my wounds..........but I will remember next time a funk finds me that my monkey friends seem okay w/ accepting friends in good and in bad times.

Hugs

Gross Warning:

I was a bit distracted this morning at breakfast time.

I finished my bowl of Raisin Bran before I noticed the milk was..................shall we say.............'not fresh'.

NRCG, how is your father doing?   I hope he decides to stay through the holidays, but completely understand if he doesn't.  Having lived alone I can attest to how important the daily routine and familiar surroundings are.  I pray for you and your dad everyday.  He is lucky to have you.
Tol
Thank-you so much. He will be leaving on Friday after Thanksgiving. We have it all worked out with our friend to pick him up in Milwaukee and it is all worked out with our friend to come in and clean. He feels good about that, and I told him to behave because my husband and I are paying for the cleaning  and not to complain to her. He wants to get back to his schedule.

We have to throw out milk here a lot, it spoils real soon. My dad's remedy to this, he loves his cheerios with orange juice on it

That sounds like a good solution.

It does, I went out and bought him new shoes and new pants. I told him you need comfort not style right now. He went along with this much to my surprise. My dad's feet are some swollen and the doctor is going to put him on water pills. I bought him wider shoes that are tennis shoes in grey and a pair in black with velcro. He only wears white tennis shoes but they didn't have white in his size. Now he is excited to have shoes in other colors
