Just thinking about something. Since Adam had custody of Zahra will Emily be able to take her back to Australia without his permission?

ED never gave up parental rights and was paying child support. She had rights that AB denied her by hiding Zahra's location. Hopefully he will be in jail and she is next of kin not evil KB.

I have been working... I see a lot has been happening while I was away from here.  Even though in my heart, I knew they found her there, it still just breaks my heart into a million pieces that anyone could be so heartless and sick.  There truly is evil in the world and to know that Zahra had to live with it and be abused by it is absolutely one of the most sickening things I have ever encountered.  God Bless Zahra and help heal the aching hearts of all those who love her.  Her spirit will forever shine down from Heaven!

Hi Monkeys,

One of the ways I deal with my emotional attachment to Zahra and in all these cases is to be here in SM. I feel like I am snuggling in with our group, a group of great monkeys to bring what ever comfort we can to Zahra and those that truly love her. When you find yourself getting to upset or sad say prayers for her and come in to the group snuggle for her. She may have been poorly treated by some but we are many and here for her. We will see that she gets home and gets justice.

Perhaps Tibro or Nightowl will know the answer. Can KB be charged in Au for aiding AB in hiding Zahra from her mom or with aiding in her removal from the country without her mom's permission. I think that KB is partially responsible for Zahra's death and hope somewhere there will be justice for the mom.

I'm so sorry if I missed this also, if Emily was paying child support where was the money going? You would think it would go to the address of where Adam lived but it must go to the court? You would think that if you are paying you could at least see your child

I hope so! I've wondered the same thing, but surely, surely, surely, this can be worked out! I can't imagine Emily having to wade through Adam's relatives who enabled him to bring her here into a deathtrap, to give her daughter a proper funeral!

All I can say is... the sorry POS better allow Emily to have Zahra now!

CBB....I just talked to Linda in the newsroom and asked her did she know of any place to make  donations and she said she had not heard of any but would check into it. I told her that some members of Scared Monkeys would like to help Zahra's mother Emily to get her baby back home. Said she would get back to me as soon as possible.

Thank you for writing this.  I know I will be sending strength for those monkeys who will be going to the memorial.  Though I am too far away to go I will be there in spirit and I know I will be crying more tears that day.  This case is horrendous if even half of what the speculation about how Zahra was treated is true.  Monkeys have shown again how compassionate they are as a group and how we can lean on each other as we await justice to be served.

My Dear Monkeys,
Thank you for staying on top of this.  It is great to know you all are here.  I was in the hospital from mid September until the end of October and saw Zahra's case in the news.  Like all of you I prayed for a better outcome but as time went on things looked more and more grim.  I live in Hickory and am planning to attend the vigil.  Since I'm still recuperating I have to find a ride with someone when I want to go somewhere but if there is anything I can do or take pics of locally let me know and I'll try to accomplish it for you.  It is so hard to believe that someone could do something so horrible to such a beautiful little girl.  Tears me up

Oh 4getunot, I wish I or we would have known you were in the hospital.  That's along time!  We would have been praying for you, unless it was posted and I missed it.  I hope you get better soon!  Thank you so much for going to the vigil on behalf of all of us.  Please pray and even let them know of a great group of monkeys who has been here all the way for them in prayer, if you get a chance.  I am sure it helps to know when you know people are out there, even from such a distance who truly care.  God Bless them and prayers for your recuperation!

In the case of a divorced couple the desirable thing is for the parents to work together but the custodial parent would have the final say.

Agreed!  It has taken me some time to calm down.  I am not sure I can bear to watch the press conference but I know I will.  Thanks for the comfort NM.  I work at home and am here by myself so I really have no distractions from this horror.

I wonder if the decision would be based on American or Australian law. The custody was under Au law and she came to us under a fraudulently obtained passport.
