This one says there is a hearing on Dec. 13 for two of the search warrants.

Catawba DA seeks new date for hearing on warrants
HICKORY, N.C. -- Prosecutors have filed a motion for a January hearing to discuss six sealed search warrants in the investigation into the death of a 10-year-old North Carolina girl who authorities believe was killed and dismembered.

The Hickory Daily Record reports that the warrants include Elisa Baker's medical data and information about a website where she and Zahra Baker's father met.

Three of the warrants would have been unsealed on Wednesday if Catawba County Assistant District Attorney Sean McGinnis hadn't filed a motion on Nov. 29 to extend orders on all sealed documents relating to the Zahra Baker case. The other three would have been unsealed on Friday.

A hearing on whether two search warrants should be unsealed is scheduled for Dec. 13. The next hearing would be held Jan. 3, 2011.

On another note, apparently adam went to Walmart the other day, and they had to shut the store down, and call police to have him escorted out because the people that saw him were on the verge of a riot.

I like this tidbit.
Too bad they didn't riot on his fat azz.

He's back peddling now...

Anyway, it all hinges on what he can actually PROVE. and who knows if he can prove anything to be able to press charges.

I dont know. I read this morning about a case in Alabama that is similar to this one...makes me beyond sick that these parents dont want their children. I just dont understand people.
This case in Alabama is beyond words and it is beyond comprehension.

This is the best news I've heard all day. Go Wal-mart shoppers, go!  Monkey Devil!

Let's face it, there is no where to hide for this pond scum. He should just turn himself in now.

Does anyone know if Ma Baker is still in the states, suporting her little bupkis? I also wonder where he got money to shop Wal-Mart. Collecting unemployment? Selling drugs? Mama? ED isn't footing his bill anymore.

No, under normal conditions the former school shouldn't have had to contact the incoming new school. Most transfers go without any issues as most parents are responsible and want their chilren to have an education.

Ya know, in most schools I've been in or my son has been in the school will transfer the record if still in the same district.  They will even cross counties.  So they just handed EvilE the poor childs record never to be followed up on.  So if they kept moving and claimed she was being home schooled no one would be the wiser unless reported to the shcool/school board!  So sad.  She fell through the crack all right.

I bet the returns from the search warrants from the site they met on, imvu are going to be interesting. Did they ever as far as anyone knows get a warrant for AY's computer for the same thing , imvu ? Think AY would give any truthful answers as to what AY was doing on imvu ? And with whom ?
And her mental health records, they will just say . Nuttier than squirrel poop.

I put my money on the idea of Elisa being a sociopath, and having a major personality disorder.
NOBODY could participate or witness what supposedly was done to Z, by Adam. She and he IMO are
nuttier than a fruitcake, and Aaron Young goes in that summary as well.

Let's see, ummm I last saw her in February and August. You got your 2 minutes of fame, now sit back

Judge may decide to release details on slain North Carolina girlBy the CNN Wire Staff
December 10, 2010 6:40 a.m. EST
Sealed search warrants may contain details of how Zahra Baker, 10, was killed.

A key hearing related to the investigation of Zahra Baker, 10, will happen Monday
A judge could decide to release search warrants from detectives probing her death
Zahra's remains found November 11; over a month after she was reported missing
A tipster had suggested Zahra may have been raped, per earlier released warrants
(CNN) -- A judge could decide next week whether some or all of the details in search warrants related to the death of a 10-year-old disabled North Carolina girl will be made public.

Police found some of Zahra Baker's remains on November 11, just over a month after her stepmother Elisa Baker reported her missing. While Elisa has been charged with obstruction of justice -- for writing a fake ransom note and leaving it at the family's Hickory home -- no one has been charged directly in her death.

Meanwhile, the investigation has continued, with detectives requesting numerous warrants related to the case. They asked for an additional 15 sealed warrants on Wednesday in Catawba County court, on top of the many they requested previously.

A motions hearing is scheduled for Monday, December 13, to determine if details of any, some or all of the sealed warrants will be released.

Some of the search warrants obtained by the Hickory, North Carolina, police were made public earlier this month, giving a glimpse into the grisly events that could have led to the death of the freckled-face girl, who lost part of her left leg at age 5 to cancer.

According to one of the search warrants, a tipster told police that Zahra had been at a North Carolina home with two men and one of the men said "he had done something very bad and needed to leave town."

One of the men was associated with Zahra's stepmother but was not Zahra's father, the tipster said.

The tipster also told police that Zahra had been raped by both men and that she had blood on her private area and legs, the search warrant said. The tipster told police that he got the information about the alleged rape from a friend who was told about it from his sister.

Police went to the home to see if they could confirm the fourth-hand information and found a mattress at the side of the house that "had a large dark stain in the middle," the search warrant said.

The tipster said the men did not admit to killing the girl but did say that they "might have hit her in the head," the search warrant said.

Police were also told by an attorney for Elisa Baker that the girl was dismembered.

In one search warrant, dated October 27, police say they were looking for "latex gloves used while the body of Zahra Baker was dismembered." They also were searching for "white trash bags used to store body parts," the warrant said.

In that warrant, police were seeking to search the Hickory home that Zahra lived in with her stepmother and father Adam Troy Baker.

Besides the obstruction of justice charge, Elisa Baker is accused of writing worthless checks. Police have said she had been cooperating with investigators, including going with them to a search site.

Adam Troy Baker was arrested in late October in nearby Catawba County on eight charges: five counts of writing bad checks and three counts of failing to appear in court. Authorities said the charges were unrelated to Zahra's disappearance, and he was later released on bail.

InSession's Jessica Thill contributed to this report.

What kind of parent or even human being allows their child to be around such deranged people? The sad part is, kids are put in dangerous positions with freaks like this everyday by looser parents.

Statru- that's reassuring to know some schools are on top of things. I was generalizing in my statement.

Unfortunately, Zahra fell through the cracks in this school system. Very sad.

The police have done a terrific job with this case. Now, it's up to the DA, the GJ and the ME to determine what charges, who to charge with what. I hope Zahra's remains have enough evidence to tell the story of what she endured and those responsible are held accountable.

Ones who are even more depraved themselves.  And yes - loser parents would be the correct answer as well.

NC students collect toys in Zahra Baker's memory
December 9, 2010

CLAREMONT, N.C. (AP) - The unexplained death of a 10-year-old disabled girl is weighing on the minds of students at a North Carolina middle school and leading them to collect toys for their underprivileged peers.

Students at River Bend Middle School have collected more than 800 stuffed animals in memory of Zahra Baker, who like them lived in Catawba County.

The stuffed animals will be given to police in Conover and Hickory on Monday for distribution to children who are needy or whose parents are in jail.

Zahra Baker inspires students' one-act play
The Zahra Baker case influences the writers' work

HICKORY - The 10-year-old girl is being abused daily by her stepfather. The victim keeps what's happening bottled up - until she can't stand it any longer and tells all to a school counselor, who finds help.

It's a variation of an all too familiar story.

But this outline is from an original one-act play called "Isabell's Case," written by theater students at Hickory's St. Stephens High School.

They fleshed out the story after visiting at the Children's Advocacy Center of Catawba County and learning about abuse issues. The play is based on actual instances of abuse, but not a specific case.

"Isabel" isn't a real person. But when the production is performed today and Saturday, a candle will burn in memory of 10-year-old Zahra Baker, a case that has gained worldwide attention. Hickory police say they have evidence Zahra is dead, and her family and friends have said they saw signs she suffered abuse.

Well, the DA is an idiot. I really really hope he doesnt blow this case like he has so many others. I think he knows he is being held a lot more accountable on this one

Hickory High students give to honor Zahra

HICKORY --
Several of the career and technical education clubs at Hickory High wanted to help the Hickory Police Department with its Cops for Tots program this year. The program’s Wish House opens Monday for parents and guardians who need help providing presents for their children for Christmas.

DECA, SkillsUSA, TRU and the Future Business Leaders of America got together to ask students to bring in toys for the program. Alex Miller, Richard Robinson, Chad Powell, Mollie Jones, Jasmine Lynch and Olivia Atkins oversaw the donations and made daily announcements.

On Friday, Hickory Police Chief Tom Adkins was presented with about 50 toys for Cops for Tots. The toys included fire trucks, Hot Wheels, baby dolls, Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders and even a forest green bike, big enough for a 12- or 14-year-old.

“Ever since the Cops for Tots program started in the mid-1980s, our goal has been to assist families in providing their children with Christmas gifts,” Adkins said. “Without the assistance of our community, and in this case, the students at Hickory High School, it would be impossible.”

Students had about two weeks to bring the gifts in. The collection was done in memory of Zahra Baker, the 10-year-old disabled Australian native who was reported missing, and later dead.

“She was in the Hickory High district, and would have eventually gone to this school,” Jones said. “We wanted to do something to honor her.”

While Jones, 17, didn’t bring a toy in to this drive, she did bring a toy to the memorial that was held last week. She donated a stuffed elephant because she had one as child and said it was her favorite.

Miller, 16, said he was happy so many students participated.

“It’s great that this many kids dropped off presents for the less fortunate,” he said.

Jones agreed.

“A lot of students don’t think about those who don’t have things, they just expect presents,” she said. “It’s good they’re thinking of others.”

Powell, 17, said that by asking the students to donate the toys in Zahra’s name, they’re hoping more students paid attention to what happened to her.

“We’re raising awareness by putting it in her name,” he said. “We’re hoping what happened to her won’t happen to others.”
