I'm thinking that EB is in for a longer haul in prison that she thinks it will be.

In trying to help Nut get to page 50, I'm also thinking that it's about time the father got hauled in, too.

When Adam gets hauled in, I'm hoping that LE will make sure the press is available and that Adam has to do the "perp walk".

Afterall, we did have to watch Adam lie to us and shower his fake tears.

I think EB is horrible; but, AB is a piece of work that's hard for me to comprehend...he's the father - his daughter was dead for 2 weeks before he even made a move to let anyone know something had gone wrong - then he lied about that - then we found out the monsterous things he did.

I'd say he was crazy, but that could be used as an argument by the defense...so I won't give him that.

I don't have the word for him.

Plain Evil!!

I'll help Puzzler.

What about that Sammy Young guy. From the docs it appears that he may be implicated also?

Gaston County tie established in Zahra Baker homicide investigation

January 05, 2011 11:13 AM

The investigation into the death of 10-year-old Zahra Baker prompted Hickory police to solicit information from the Gaston County Department of Social Services late last year, according to search warrants released Tuesday.

As authorities were putting the pieces together in the homicide case, they wanted to know about DSS case histories involving Zahra’s stepmother, Elisa Baker. The local DSS office has overseen cases involving Baker and three of her other children, including two daughters, ages 25 and 21, and a 23-year-old son.

On Nov. 10, the Catawba County District Attorney’s office filed a motion pursuing the DSS case information on behalf of Hickory police. A judge granted it the same day.

Police have declared Zahra’s death a homicide, though no one has been charged in her death. But police say Baker admitted to writing a phony ransom note to hamper the investigation into Zahra’s disappearance, and she remains jailed on a charge of obstructing justice.

Baker told police the 10-year-old died Sept. 24 and was dismembered the following day by her father, Adam Baker, according to the newly released search warrants. Baker was reported missing Oct. 9 and a massive search for her ensued.

The prosthetic leg that Zahra wore after losing hers to bone cancer was found along Christie Road in Caldwell County on Oct. 26. Her remains were found Nov. 10 in the Dudley Shoals area of Caldwell County.

Elisa Baker told Hickory police on Nov. 19 that Adam Baker dismembered Zahra’s body on Sept. 25 and disposed of the body parts in various locations, including the Christie Road and Dudley Shoals areas, the warrants say.

Investigators reviewed Adam Baker’s cell phone records and the phone’s GPS locator from Sept. 25, the warrants say. According to those records, Adam Baker's phone was not in the areas where Zahra’s remains were found on the day that Elisa Baker said he disposed of them, the warrants say.
