Klaas. do we have a What I am Thankful for Thread?? Can one be started? If so push this over there, please

Thanksgiving not in order, necessariliy

I am thankful for  God, my ancestors, my parents, my teachers, the Scared Monkeys, for learning more about God's Good and more about Evil that I ever wished but it is helping me be a better Soul as a work-in=progress, for Natalee, even though she has lost her life, she, her mother, family have touched our lives and made them better,

I have been on the internet since Sept. 1982 with an Apple IIe and a 600$$ 300 baud Hayes modem... top draw, leading edge at the time. I was 42. I have had dial up since then. Friday I get wireless Warner Internet for Verizon can't get there node to wire to office together.

IN 1984 I started classes aimed to be trained at any thing, any JAVA, HTML, anything to be an internet yenta in information, education and Good Works., This was going to be by new future; after 11 years of extension training after my day time long job in the Industry I had to go on disability for Chronic Fatigue, PTSD, Fibromalygia.. Red, Klaas and those here did it and even more so.

Thankful to be here for 5++ years. Collective Goodness works and this time it's in a new form..... electronic online=== Internet History. I am thankful you and I are a part of it.

Messed that one up... should read the neat man  I was to marry was killed Nov. 28, 1982, left to die on the desert with his son, so we had a funeral in Dec.  instead of the planned wedding. You would have liked him. He had a good white hat past,  I think, and would be in Aruba fast for solving things. He'd probably get me to drink and I mean drink so I would fly again. He loved dune buggy racing. Was champion. He and I would be all over that Island. Tourists with big eyes and ears and smart enough to play the game and be quiet, know when to leave and get home, then talk.   Anna,Red, Klaas, Carpe, Rob, Kermit would have understood him and loved him.

Was there a full moon on the night Natalee died? Just wondering. OH gee almost 5 again.

IBE . . . yes, so many people to be thankful for who have come into my life.  Some are still here . . . others have moved on or gone on.  Each one touched my spirit and helped mold me into the woman I am today.  For this and more, I am thankful.

There are so many things  to be thankful for in my life.
-The 34 years I had with my husband. I wanted more but I now realize there are so many people that never have  that
amount of happiness and he (thanks to a wonderful Hospice ) died at home with dignity and peace.
-The family and friends that saw me through this time of sorrow and change.
-These same wonderful people who supported me through my chemo and radiation and refused to give up or give in.
-The challenges that are given to us that make us grow and appreciate all the good in this wold.
-The unexpected doors that open to lead to a different life.
-Two sisters that I can argue with but would lay their life on the line for me.
-The fact that I am now an American citizen.
-All my fur kids past and present that keep me focused and add joy to my life.
-The friends I have met here at Scared Monkeys who have taught me about compassion and just amaze me with their
ability to see what is right and do something about it.

May you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.

I like this thread, hope we can keep it going.
I will post 2 things I am grateful for each day.
 1) My faith...........it is a gift, nothing I could decide to have.   Purely a gift.
 2) Heat, indoor plumbing and lights.....................so many in our world do without what we consider basic.

I will close w/ an extra one today:  My new friends at SM.

Today I am grateful for a warm pair of boots.
I am grateful, also, for family and friends who do not treat me like a fifth wheel now that Brian is gone.  I miss him like fire, but am grateful for how he loved me.

Today I am thankful for my neighbors!
also will be praying prayers of gratitude today for all God's blessings.  Sometimes I forget to do that and to just pray in adoration.
I forget that HE knows our needs and today I am going to thank and adore.

I am thankful for the unconditional love of my Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ.

Janet

++++++

REDEEMING LOVE

From God's heaven to a manger,
From great riches to the poor,
Came the holy Son of God, a little child.
From the azure halls of heaven,
To a lowly manger stall,
Jesus came and here He gave His life for all.

Redeeming love, a love that knows no limit.
Redeeming love, a love that never dies.
My soul shall sing through-out the endless ages,
With choirs exalting of this great love on high.

From a loving heavenly Father,
To a world that knew Him not,
Came a man of sorrow, Christ, the Lord.
In my wandering He found me,
Touched my life with His great love,
And this Babe has grown to be my sovereign Lord.

Redeeming love, a love that knows no limit.
Redeeming love, a love that never dies.
My soul shall sing through-out the endless ages,
With choirs exalting of this great love on high.

Thank you, Father, for Brittany's safety.  We know she is damaged by all that has happened.   You know her needs and You will be with her.
Thank you for being our Father.
Glory be to the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, as it was in the beginning, is now , and ever shall be. Amen.

I am thankful for having been in a very dark place, and have finally come out in the sunshine.  I am thankful for my husband who has been here with me for fifteen extra years, and I pray for many, many more. I am thankful for my son who is my rock. I am thankful for my faith and a God that has seen me through.
