It looks cute - I hope they're able to do it, and that the kids enjoy it.  I wish she could have.

Nana, I agree with your thinking . . . the most awesome playground of all.
The location of the earthly playground look like they play ball there -- lots of children, it is good!

The playground is a lovely gesture, and I hope it will be a huge success.

It's a shame those in authority weren't as mindful and conscientious when Zahra was living and suffering neglect and abuse (that was consistently reported).

The only thing comforting is what Nana said...she's in her Father's playground now, where nobody can harm her ever again. God bless Zahra.

While watching TV last night I saw a promo for the Channel 9 (WIN) show "60 Minutes" which will air this Sunday 30 Feb and they showed a snippet of an interview by Liz Hayes, one of their most experienced reporters, and Adam Baker.

I will be tuned in to watch for sure and will also link here the transcript when it is published on their website.  This is not the same TV network that interviewed Zahra's mother Emily.

I hope Nightowl and other Australian monkeys are able to watch also.

I really can't understand this case. There is a confession as to where a body was, and a body-why no arrest is beyond me. What are they waiting for? Unless...it is to make sure they can get all involved and have an air tight case.

According to this article, the park will be accessible for children with disabilities.  Good for them!

Story transcripts

The Zahra Baker Mystery

 ::snipping2::

It's a crime that's horrified and fascinated people on both sides of the Pacific. On Sunday night, for the first time, Zahra's dad tells his version of events.

It's no wonder police are having so much trouble solving the mystery.

There will be no video or transcript available due to ongoing legal proceedings in the US.

Disappointing to read this but with our strict laws regarding publishing anything to do with ongoing legal or criminal cases, it would not surprise me if this interview did not make it to air.  If it was a case based here in Australia it would have been pulled by now by court order.

I will be watching and hoping the interview appears and we learn something new.

Zahra's dad talks on TV
Rachel Browne
February 20, 2011

THE Australian father of slain 10-year-old Zahra Baker reveals his side of the story for the first time, denying he was involved in his daughter's death, in an interview with 60 Minutes to air tonight.

Speaking to reporter Liz Hayes, Adam Baker refutes his wife Elisa Baker's claim that he dismembered his daughter's body.

"That's the biggest lie she's ever told," he said.

Less than two hours until our Australian version of 60 minutes goes to air. As the website for 60 minutes has stated it will not be publishing a transcript or video owing to being an ongoing case in USA I am still sceptical that it will go to air.  I hope I am wrong and I will be watching to see.

Brandi has posted a link to a report on the interview and it is as expected - Adam is reported to have said what we all expect the goose to say - he is not guilty.

 ::snipping2::

Mr Baker revealed he feared his wife, whom he calls Lisa, was hurting Zahra after he noticed she had a black eye. "I asked both Lisa and Zahra how that happened. Lisa started out saying Zahra slipped in the bathroom, hitting her head on the cabinet. Zahra backed that up. I think she was told to; she was scared."
