The New Normal - What should it include?

I keep hearing about the 'new normal' of high unemployment, lower living standards, and spreading violence from our border with Mexico.

What should the new normal include?  Make things fair for everyone?  Ensure everyone has the same apples?

How about term limits for politicians?  No more rich benefits/pensions on the taxpayer pennies?

How about service limits for government employees?  No more rich benefits/pensions on the taxpayer pennies?

I'm thinking people making pennies in the new economy can't support the millionaires in Congress or local government.

What is the worst think that would happen if government employees had to seek employment after say ten years of taxpayer service?

What about transparency at the Federal Reserve?  A new deal for Americans on Main Street?  Control by common people of the money supply?  A return to common sense?

No more secrets?
