Investigators need help solving 33-year-old Spring murder
December 9, 2010

CHRONICLE FILE
Connie Sue Madvig

Authorities in Harris County need help solving a 33-year-old cold case.

Investigators with the Harris County Sheriff's Office Cold Case Unit are working on the June 1977 stabbing death of 18-year-old Connie Sue Madvig, who was found in a wooded area near Aldine Westfield and East Cypresswood in Spring. She had been stabbed to death.

Madvig was last seen alive on June 23, 1977, walking to a store after leaving her parents’ home in the 23900 block of Spring Briar Lane.

Anyone with information about the case can contact Crime Stoppers of Houston at 713-222-TIPS (713-222-8477) or the Cold Case Unit at 713-967-5911.

Madvig’s murder is one of several cold cases the HCSO is featuring every week in hopes of gathering new information that may help solve them. For many of these cases, there is very little information, so investigators are relying solely on the public’s tips.

Connie disappeared 4.2 miles from Alexandria "Ali" Lowitzer 16, Spring, TX Last Seen 4/26/10. Of course 33 years passed between the two but thought I would mention it anyway.
