Sorry I have not been in the cage much.  I still pray for you daily.  I have been trying to clear some clutter.  The Speech Therapist is showing my son how to organize and I am trying to work along with them.  They are a big help.  He had lots of toys to go to the Cancer Center, he just threw them in boxes.  He needed to toss out things little kids would choke on, etc.

Our house isn't in the mudslide area, but in the canyons where my husband and daughter go for breakfast every Sat, and all that area isn't doing very well. We are under a flash flood watch for a couple hours, they are warning on the TV about it.

4 Donks, we had a similar experience with Zoe once at the groomer. Then we found a wonderful place that also did the furminator, a lot more money, but well worth it.

The only problem with living in the boonies is that there are not a lot of options. I think the part (other than hurting Mac) that pissed me off is that I tipped them.
It normally costs about $120.00 to bath and dry Beela or Jazz. When I get them clipped and groomed it is closer to $200.00 each. I don't mind the cost if the guys are treated humanely and the results are professional. I only get them clipped 2 x a year but bathed 4x a year. The place I used is about 20 mi. from me and I guess I'll have to go further afield.

The place we eventually used was a good half hour away, but the place that was close to home, they hurt her, but Zoe showed the guy, she turned around and nipped him in the back.

And so many kids will get toys to play with    What a great idea to be showed how to organize, most people sure could use that kind of help.

BOLO     ***simple, yummy crab salad recipe*** 

Need it to go with my spinach dip courtesy of Klaas     

How about a hot crab dip?

In an oven proof dish mix 1 pkg cream cheese, 1 1/2 cups grated swiss cheese, 1/3 cup miracle whip, 1 can (4oz) or fresh crab meat, 2 cropped green onions.

Bake 350 degrees for 15 mins stirring once during baking.  Broil till top is golden.  Garnish with toasted nuts if you want.  Serve warm with snap peas to dip.

No Rose sending prayers your way.  Please get a heli the heli out of there and come stay with me for Christmas.  Going to my mom's Christmas eve for a German Christmas feast with goose, rouladen, cabbage rolls, pyrogies, red cabbage and a table full of german baking.  Then my house Christmas day for a Canadian/Scottish Christmas with Turkey, Ham , BBQ salmon (yup I BBQ even if it is -40 and snowing), twice baked potatoes, scalloped potatoes and for dessert, home made ice cream, nanaimo bars  and a german cheese cake along with what ever left over desserts from my moms.  I also have an open door policy and the boys have always brought over a few of their friends who are alone on Christmas.  My house is like a box of chocolates, you never know who will be here for dinner and I always have extra presents to hand out as no one leaves without a present.

Boxing day we go skating then curling with the neighbours on the outdoor rink and we have our neighbourhood potluck with all the left overs that all the neighbours bring over. Lots of rum, mulled wine and what ever else comes out as well as food.

Now around 33 would be okay, but below zero is not fun. Few years back in WI it was below zero for weeks, and after awhile you sort of get use to it

How cute is that    Buddy and the birds are eating like pigs, the rain makes them all hungrier. Thank-you, it is sure weather we will be discussing for awhile. Right now it is drizzling but the sky is real dark, so another round coming

Morning all...hubs has decided to stay home with me today instead of going to work! he will be off tomorrow and Friday as well..   that will be a huge help...hanging some more pictures today...furniture for kitchen gets delivered today sometime..they never let you know what time...4 hr window usually...grrrrr

What is on everyone's agenda for Christmas ? family coming to visit? you going somewhere?
Kids and family are coming over Christmas Eve for treats and presents in the afternoon..then we are going to Son and Daughter in Law's home on Christmas Day...glad that the DIL's have stepped up and are taking some of  the holidays...makes it nice for me!

Hey cookie! I am so happy you got moved, Good to see you have some help over there.
I'll spend Christmas with my parents and the grandkids. 

Glad the move is just about done.
I'll be spending Christmas with my sisters. We'll have the traditional standing rib roast and yorkshire pudding. We don't exchange gifts because at our ages we don't need to accumulate stuff. Instead money we would have spent on each other is donated to each ones favorite charity. The only presents are for the pets..4 donks, 9 dogs, 2 goats and of course the feral cats.
Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday.

4 donks, I love yorkshire pudding. You are going to have a wonderful Christmas!!! I like the idea of presents only for animals.

Good for Zoe for nipping him in the back.  She was a great dog, that Zoe.
