Our weather man said we may see some snow....I say NO!!!!! I must go to my parent's house.My Daddy has my presents.    My Mom has my German Chocolate cake.   

Trimm does your new car have 4WD ? If not I'm thinking you have hubs to push.

No,but our truck is 4WD......and I still like the idea of him having to push.

NRCG i hope the rain stops soon..I hope you are not in an area that has mudslides. I've experienced flash flooding but the idea of mudslides scares the "H" out of me. Keeping fingers crossed and prayers coming your way.

Our house isn't in the mudslide area, but in the canyons where my husband and daughter go for breakfast every Sat, and all that area isn't doing very well. We are under a flash flood watch for a couple hours, they are warning on the TV about it.

No Rose sending prayers your way.  Please get a heli the heli out of there and come stay with me for Christmas.  Going to my mom's Christmas eve for a German Christmas feast with goose, rouladen, cabbage rolls, pyrogies, red cabbage and a table full of german baking.  Then my house Christmas day for a Canadian/Scottish Christmas with Turkey, Ham , BBQ salmon (yup I BBQ even if it is -40 and snowing), twice baked potatoes, scalloped potatoes and for dessert, home made ice cream, nanaimo bars  and a german cheese cake along with what ever left over desserts from my moms.  I also have an open door policy and the boys have always brought over a few of their friends who are alone on Christmas.  My house is like a box of chocolates, you never know who will be here for dinner and I always have extra presents to hand out as no one leaves without a present.

Boxing day we go skating then curling with the neighbours on the outdoor rink and we have our neighbourhood potluck with all the left overs that all the neighbours bring over. Lots of rum, mulled wine and what ever else comes out as well as food. 

Northern, can I come too??? I love cabbage rolls.  And all the potatoes as well. I want to curl on Boxing day too.

BOLO     ***simple, yummy crab salad recipe*** 

Need it to go with my spinach dip courtesy of Klaas     

How about a hot crab dip?

In an oven proof dish mix 1 pkg cream cheese, 1 1/2 cups grated swiss cheese, 1/3 cup miracle whip, 1 can (4oz) or fresh crab meat, 2 cropped green onions.

Bake 350 degrees for 15 mins stirring once during baking.  Broil till top is golden.  Garnish with toasted nuts if you want.  Serve warm with snap peas to dip.

I'm on my way Northern, everything sounds wonderful. And I love boxing day, grew up with that, because one of our dear friends was from Liverpool 

It is even quite warm right now .  Only -17 so no long underwear required.

Greeneyes!!! It is COLD!!! Just took Josef outside and was shivering. Dang and we were in the 80's yesterday. Having a hard time typing my fingers are frozen. Lost my gloves at the rink. 

Brandi Buddy is adorable. I just love No Rose's stories about him and the birds.

Turning the heat up now. Stupid Christmas tree is in front of the fireplace or I would go to Race Trak and get a fire log and build a fire.

I don't mind the snow here because it last only a couple days. Everything looks so clean and beautiful. But it's a pain to drive in it. Hope you get your white Christmas.

I know yesterday I was in a sun dress & today leggings socks and boots.  I took granddaughter to spend the night with a friend my return trip home should have taken me 20 minutes max. But it  ended up taking over an hour and a half. There was a three car accident and a van rolled over. With children in it. But thank the Lord everyone had seat belts and no serious injuries.  But by the time they got the ambulance's there and wreckers I sat on the road what seem liked forever. Living out in the rural areas there aren't a lot of ways to get from place to place.

Good Morning .
I am going out shopping with my sister and nephew.We are going to get Mom out of the house for just a little while.
I will do a quick sweep of the kitchen and see what kind of goodies I can swipe in case we have snow this weekend.Chocolate for everybody.
