It was a nightmare at the store. People here flock to the store before a holiday and before an expected snowfall.

Today was a double whammy. Both holiday and snowstorm coming. (I thought I'd beat all the people who were at work, but it was crazy crowded, had a tough time finding a parking space, even.) LOL

But I got what I needed and am safe at home now.

Lucky you did not have to go grocery shopping. ;-p

I am cooking Christmas dinner here and our neighbor is joining us.

I had not choice but visit the grocery.

My little "TOWN" of supposedly 5,000 total population was so jammed at 3 pm I think half of Dallas must have been up here!  We have a Wally's and thats about it.  Might make a midnite run for cat food, but not even going to venture before then......

I went to Wallyworld on Sunday and I didn't even have to wait at the check out. Either people did their shopping early or are waiting till the last minute. Except for the decorations you couldn't tell anything was different than any other Sunday.

NRCG i hope the rain stops soon..I hope you are not in an area that has mudslides. I've experienced flash flooding but the idea of mudslides scares the "H" out of me. Keeping fingers crossed and prayers coming your way.

Sorry I have not been in the cage much.  I still pray for you daily.  I have been trying to clear some clutter.  The Speech Therapist is showing my son how to organize and I am trying to work along with them.  They are a big help.  He had lots of toys to go to the Cancer Center, he just threw them in boxes.  He needed to toss out things little kids would choke on, etc.

Thank-you Green Eyes and Tolerance. I was a nervous wreck because I didn't hear from my daughter. Just checked my email and she apologized she left her phone in the car, and now all the phones are down at her work. I had to take a half of my xanax because I keep staring up at the ceiling, worrying. My husband is calling the insurance people now. Wild ride with this rain for sure

GreenEyes,shopping went good.The only person that pizzed me off was at the perfume counter.  Don't try to sell me what I don't ask for.   
My Dad had fruit cake soaked in rum yesterday.    My sister's husband had homemade wine for me to carry home when we got back.I slept very good last night.

Good morning, and anyone venturing out to shop today, good luck. It was nuts yesterday, today it will be worse, with people looking for bargains  Hope everyone has a wonderful Christmas Eve     Trimm, I love fruit cake  one of the few that does I guess.

They didn't shut off our power today, and they better not think about it tomorrow. Just got home from shopping  the stores I could deal with, the crazy people behind the wheel of their cars not so much. I waited at the stop sign because a car was coming and didn't want it to hit me, but the man in the pick up truck behind me, didn't like it. He kept beeping his horn at me, and I flipped him off    Hope everyone has a wonderful night, going out to eat, but I'm not driving   

  You flipped him off?? Good on you No Rose!!! I was going to the mall today, but it is raining and Josef has tummy troubles. That part of my shopping can wait until Sunday.

JSM I hope Joe's tummy is feeling better.  Be careful the stores are going to be worse the day after Christmas...wait a couple of days.
Going to Sisters' place for brunch today and early dinner tomorrow. We are suppose to have snow tomorrow afternoon and I need to get back before dark for the donks. If it's just snow no problem (4WD) it's the idiots that aren't prepared that drive me nuts.

  Thanks 4 donks about Joe's belly. He ate three bowls of food last night and I guess it just got to him.
