JSM's BEGGING FOR BAN THREAD # 23 12/13/10 - 1/17/11

Leaving for my Mom's in 1/2 hour for our German Christmas eve.  Then home tonight to get things ready for Christmas dinner at my house tomorrow.  Hoping my Mom did some extra Christmas baking as I just did not get everything done this year.  Also hoping my mom made some head cheese as that is my Christmas comfort food.

You all have a wonderful time and enjoy all the good food.  My one grandma was born in Italy, and her husband, my grandpa was born in Belgium. At lunch time she would cook Italian and at supper she would cook German. Have a great time all of you.

  How awesome No Rose, she would cook Italian and German dishes.

All I ever got for supper was casserole 

My grandpa that always spoke his mind  would never have eaten Italian food twice a day, so to keep peace it was divided up    And my other grandma that lived right by us was Bohemian, and we would always get Bohemian baked goods and wonderful meals. Somehow I wasn't standing in line when cooking and baking were handed out 

    What wonderful memories, and your grandfather not eating Italian twice a day is hilarious.

I didn't get the baking genes either No Rose, my sister got those.

I'm on my way Northern, everything sounds wonderful. And I love boxing day, grew up with that, because one of our dear friends was from Liverpool 

It is even quite warm right now .  Only -17 so no long underwear required. 

Northern, you amaze me every day.  Since your body is mostly water, you must be part snowmanwoman.

Sorry, I'm not caught up but wanted to stop by to wish everyone a Merry Christmas.

Making Kyle take a rest ...somewhere in Montana on our way to daughter's in Evansville, Indiana. We get to stay 2 days then off to PA to unload and reload to head home. May not log back in again until I find some free wi fi, he gets a tad annoyed when I use all his "bytes"...

He has made such amazing progress...I have never seen our doc so happy! K is still very weak, slowly building back strength...doc says I can carry the whip awhile longer, and use if necessary...as long as it is sterile!   

Read all your posts and am so grateful for all of you and your support these last few weeks. I so wish I could physically reach  out and give you all a huge hug.

For what it's worth? When you are younger...Christmas Birthday's suck big time!

hoping that everyone has a blessed and Merry Christmas...
We had our Christmas gift exchange with the grand daughters today..such fun..10 months, 2, 4 and 7! what a joy..little ones really make the holidays worth all the work and busy times..they are so thankful to "Santa" for everything which is soooo sweet! my oldest grand daughter wrote a letter to Santa asking him to come into her room when he gets to her house so that she can see that he is real..Kids have been telling her that Santa is not real! pisses me off...I told her that Grams believes in Santa and that I will never stop believing in Santa..that was good enough for her!
Tomorrow for Christmas we are going to their house so that will be fun to see what all Santa brought for them..so exciting! love it!  Our other 4 grand kids live in Texas...they have our thoughts and love on the holiday since we can't see them...

Just got a winter weather advisory and they expect 1 inch of snow tomorrow.We will have rain turning to sleet then becoming snow. There may be some icing on the roads and some visibility issues. Trimm be careful as well as all monkeys getting snow in the south. May be having Christmas lunch instead of dinner.

The kids have attacked and opened all the gifts here. They are in heaven playing with the new stuff. Now a break before we head over to my mothers for more gifts and breakfast then to my brother in laws for dinner. I am tired already . . .

Frozen rain has just turned to snow but my sisters live about 10mi north of me and they have snow on the ground and cannot see the farm across the road. They always get it 1st. Going to lock the donks in the barn with food.

  Nana, so glad to hear Kyle is on the mend!!!! Monkey prayers work miracles. Please have a safe trip and no that prayers are with you all. Keep up with the whip  if he isn't following doctor's instructions. God Bless and Merry Christmas!!!
