Before I go to bed...weather update for those of you in the Chicago area this weekend...

***WARNING*** The National Weather Service has issued a Falling Bear warning for Chicago Sunday starting at 1:00 p.m (10:00 A.M PST) and continuing throughout the afternoon until the end of the fourth quarter. Falling Bears could be heavy at times especially around the Soldier Field area. Heavy accumulation is likely!

Got my new Bears shirt in the washer and will be wearing it to Mass tomorrow. (if everyone else can wear Cowboy Jerseys, I can wear my cute Bears T-shirt)

Some humor for all my monkey friends.  We are watching "What would you do?" and they were showing a segment about older people shoplifting. My hubs says to the 4 year old - "how would you get food if you were hungry and had no money?"  With a very straight face and very seriously he says "With a shopping cart - DUH"  I almost peed myself laughing at him. 

Watched that show tonight too.

Funny about your 4-year-old.

My son told me that when he was young, he thought if we needed money, all we needed to do was go to the grocery store. (I used to pay by check, and always wrote it for $20 or so more, so I would have some cash.) He saw the cashier give us our groceries and money! LOL

Rant coming on.....

I made the 30 mi round trip to pick up square bales for the donks (still can't get the round bales out to them) and got there, paid for them and waited for the young man to load them. He informed me he just sells them..doesn't load them. Each bale weighs between 65 and 70 lbs and I had to hike them into the bed of the truck, climb up into the bed of the truck to position them, climb down and repeat till all ten were loaded. I called and left a message about the situation when I got home and got a return call telling me he would have loaded them if I had offered to pay him and the kid complained because I didn't tip him. Needless to say I informed the owner where he could load the rest of his hay and I would tip to see it happen.

I have purchased hay there before and never had a problem. I know I can do it but feel that has always been their routine to load them and feel they were trying to take advantage. Then I had to remove them and stack them in the barn..The donks should be thankful I love them or I'd have walked away from there.

On a high note..HEAT WAVE..40 degrees today.

BBM ... had to read this to my husband because of the BBM part. Too funny.

It's great you have a sense of humor when so angry at the people/situation.

If they had loaded my purchase before, I would totally expect them to load it everytime I bought from them.

I understand.

Bad people. They will lose your business, and deservedly so.

      4 donks, I have never in all my life known a place that doesn't load the hay (unless you are getting the bales straight out of the field). Was this at a feed store? If so, I would throw a BIG fit and let everyone know what happened. You didn't tip the kid??? WTH did he do to deserve a tip?

I just knew they were going to double the price.  Sad people take advantage of others during times of crisis. Glad you had a heatwave.

I have noticed it's been slow. Went to hospital and doctor ask that we leave and let sister sleep today. He is happy with how well she is doing. So looks like I will get to take a nap and try and catch up on some rest. 

  Glad she is getting sleep, you rest yourself. You have a long journey coming back to Texas. Prayers that the weather will be uneventful.

Hi Brandi, hope you are having a great night. It has been slow, mostly I have been lurking in Hailey Dunn's thread. It hits pretty close to home, since I have friends with children that are around her age and younger that live almost in the same vicinity.

I have a rant now, today I was going to pay for Josef's weekly daycare/vet bill. The girls are so good to me, the computer kept putting in charges that shouldn't have been in there and the girls deleted those. So we were going through them and I saw his belly medicine was $48 dollars for 28 pills. I asked and they didn't know why because the last time it was $28+. They jacked up the price at the beginning of the year plus his other meds went up $9.00. I freaked, I am not made of money, I just paid $761.00 for his vet/daycare/boarding while I was away, now his bill was almost $400.00. The girls started deleting the wrong charges and told me not to pay until I go home and look up the price of meds on 1800PetMeds, so I looked it up on my phone and it was fifty cents less per pill than what the vet charges. I have to print out what the internet price is and they will price match. If it weren't for the girls looking out for me, I would be eating ramen noodles and living in my car. Thank the good Lord for those girls, I love them all like they were my daughters/sister.

Anyways, I am going to the rink this week to learn my "new" routine for my competition. It is fast and I hope I can skate to it and not make an a** of myself.

Hi Cookie, staying in for the night which I always do. I never go anywhere LOL. Wish I had some chinese food, may get some tomorrow. I have leftover Mexican from lunch with my family today. In fact, I think I will go to Mass tomorrow early, get chinese and come home and watch the Bears whoop up on Seattle. (no offense to Nana)

you could always come to Chicago with CC if things get too rough..I am sure that he would be happy to feed you...

He was the only one out there but I was so mad I was tossing those dam* bales (65 to 70 lbs each) into that truck and hopping in and out like a crazed woman..probably scared the you know what out of the guy. After unloading and stacking in the barn, came in and called the place. I wasn't nice and will probably pay with sore muscles in the morning.

  Cookie, they did jump the prices, crazy I tell you. At least the girls look out for me. I could take him to a vet that is cheaper, but I really trust his vet, plus they are there 24 hours a day.

I know CC would be happy to feed me, in fact I would be happy to feed him. I cooked for him when I was there and it was so fun. I haven't cooked in ages and he actually liked what I cooked.      I really wish I could live in Chicago and cook for him every night.
