Missing Woman Abducted After Work
December 16, 2010

A still frame from an ATM shows Eileen Loskot withdrawing $300 from a Cedar Hill ATM.

DALLAS - Police are looking for a missing woman who left work, was forced to take money out of an ATM, then vanished early Thursday morning.

Investigators say Eileen Loskot left work just after 1 a.m. That was Broadnax Printing in the 2300 block of Reagan St., just north of downtown.

Witnesses saw her driving away from her office in her red 2004 Infiniti G35 coupe. Another witnesses reported that she may have been the victim in a minor traffic accident on Simmons Road and FM 407 in Double Oak, about a mile away from her home.

At 1:38 a.m., her cell phone called her home answering machine. Police said it appears Loskot surreptitiously dialed her phone and let the recording run. On the message, it seemed one or two people could have been in the car with her.

At 2:40 a.m., Loskot made three withdrals of $300 out of an ATM on Beltline Road in Cedar Hill. There's a shadowy figure in the passenger seat of her car. (SEE VIDEO TAB)

Loskot is 54 years old, stands 5 feet 5 inches tall, and weighs 150 pounds. If you know anything about her, please call the DPD Crimes Against Persons Division at 214-671-3584.

Police fear that Denton County woman was abducted after work by two men
December 16, 2010

Authorities are searching for a 54-year-old Denton County woman who appears to have been kidnapped early today after leaving her Love Field area workplace.
Police released a surveillance video of Eileen Loskot making several withdrawals from a bank ATM in Cedar Hill. A shadowy figure can be seen in the front passenger seat of her car..

“Evidence developed during the investigation strongly indicates that Eileen Loskot has been taken by two unknown male suspects and is being held against her will,” according to a release from the Double Oak Police Department. Loskot lives in that small Denton County town with her husband.

She was working late at a Dallas printing company, trying to get ahead so she could take time off next week for the holidays, police said. Authorities say co-workers walked Loskot to her red 2004 Infiniti G35 coupe shortly after 1 a.m. and that she drove away from the business, in the 2300 block of Reagan Street alone.

The Infiniti's Texas license plate is X86 NMP. Anyone who sees the car should call 911 immediately, police said

The first known sign of trouble came at 1:38 a.m., police said, when Loskot called home -- apparently surreptitiously --and left a voice recording. Her husband didn’t hear the message until he woke up this morning, authorities said. He called the Double Oak police shortly before 7 a.m. to report her possible kidnapping.

In the voice recording she left at her home, "you can overhear two or possibly three people in the conversation talking with her, stating for her to give them her debit cards or credit cards, that they won’t hurt her if she gives them money,” said Dallas Police Deputy Chief Craig Miller.

Her captors apparently noticed that Loskot had placed a call on her cellphone, Miller said.

“They ask her, is she talking with the police, at which point we lose communications, and we have not heard from this phone since that time,” Miller said.

Around 2:45 a.m, Loskot appears on a a surveillance video from the ATM at a Bank of America branch in Cedar Hill. She made three withdrawals of $300 each from the ATM, in the 100 block of West Belt Line Road near U.S. 67, police said.

“I think you can see the alarm and concern on her face,” Miller said.

Police said they have not seen or heard from Loskot since.

“We are asking the public at this point to please help us to find Eileen and to ensure that she is OK and not in any danger,” Miller said.

Loskot is 5-foot-6-inches and weighs about 135 pounds. She has brown hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with knowledge of her whereabouts can call Dallas police's Crimes Against Person Division at 214-671-3584, the Denton County sheriff's office at 972-434-5500 or the Double Oak Police Department at 972-355-5995.

Authorities said it was unclear where Loskot was kidnapped, but that they believe she may have made it close to her Double Oak home after leaving work.

“I have no idea why she was targeted,” Miller said. “This is really just an active, ongoing investigation. We don’t know a whole lot.”

The home she and her husband own in Double Oak is listed in appraisal records as being valued at about $262,000. Property records show they bought the house in 1996 for just under $200,000.

Search Continues for Victim of Possible Kidnapping
Updated 10:57 PM CST, Thu, Dec 16, 2010

Dallas Police are asking the public's help in locating 54-year-old Eileen Loskot, who police believe may have been a victim of a kidnapping.

Loskot was last seen leaving work at about 1 a.m. on the 2300 block of Reagan Street in Dallas in her 2004 red Infiniti G35 coupe with the Texas license plate X86-NMP.

Loskot's boss at Brodnax Printing, Jim Singer, said she had been working late to finish a project before going on vacation.  Due to the late hour, an co-worker walked her to her car and carried boxes for her.

According to police, Loskot made a call to her home phone and left a message. On that message, police say you can hear three voices telling Loskot they needed to go to an ATM to get some money. Around 2:45 a.m. Loskot was seen making three withdrawls at an ATM in Cedar Hill.
Investigators said they believe the people who abducted her may have rear-ended her on her way home, and that that is when they kidnapped her.

Loskot's neighbors said they were shocked to hear of Eileen's abduction.

"They're great folks. She's a great neighbor. Friendly. We have neighborhood parties and they're both there - her and Gary both.  Just kind of shocked this morning when I saw the police car," said a neighbor.

Police urge anyone with information on her whereabouts to contact the Crimes Against Persons Division at (214) 671-3584.

Denton County woman found safe in Texas Panhandle after kidnapping
December 17, 2010

DOUBLE OAK, Texas — Police say a Denton County woman who was abducted Thursday has been found safe hundreds of miles away in the Texas Panhandle town of Vega.

Double Oak Police Chief Derrick Watson early today announced 54-year-old Eileen Loskot was unharmed and that one suspect is in custody. Watson told a news conference that two men who apparently forced her to drive to New Mexico are sought.

Watson says Loskot was released by the men, along with her car, and she drove back to Texas.

She was reported missing early Thursday after not returning from work at a Dallas-area printing company. Watson says an apparent staged traffic accident led to Loskot randomly targeted within blocks of her Double Oak home. Bank surveillance

I'm glad Mrs. Loskot was found safe.  I've seen so many times that even though the victim cooperates and gives their assailants money, credit cards and their car, they are harmed or killed anyway.

3 In Custody, Abducted Woman Eileen Loskot Found Safe
December 17, 2010

DOUBLE OAK, Texas - Two more suspects in the kidnapping of a Denton County woman have turned themselves into federal authorities, hours after she turned up unharmed at a Panhandle police station.

54-year-old Eileen Loskot was abducted early Thursday morning by three men who bumped her car near her Double Oak home as she drove home from her Dallas job.

Two teenagers, 17-year-old Nathaniel Williams and 19-year-old Edwards Muckelroy, Jr., surrendered to the FBI on Friday in Albuquerque, N.M., according to the Texas Department of Public Safety.

An arrest warrant affidavit shows that the third suspect, 23-year-old Matthew Casaus, was stopped by a Double Oak police officer just moments after the alleged abduction.

The officer even saw a red two-door car, possibly Loskot's, driving away from Casaus' blue Toyota, according to the affidavit.

Casuas told the officer that his nephew was driving his drunken grandmother home in the red two-door car. The officer let him go, but later remembered the encounter when news of Loskot's abduction broke.

Casuas was later arrested and is being held in the Denton County Jail on a charge of aggravated kidnapping, with bail set at $500,000.

THE ABDUCTION

According to police, Williams, Muckelroy and Casaus chose their victim at random. They allegedly kidnapped and forced Loskot to withdraw money from ATMs in Cedar Hill.

Causaus told police that the other two then put the 54-year-old into the trunk of the car, and decided to drive to California.

Shortly before midnight on Thursday night, Loskot drove to a police station near Amarillo, Texas and said the two men abandoned her and went on alone. She was not physically harmed.

Police say a cell phone call that Loskot managed to make to her home phone number as she was being abducted helped them crack the case.

"We were cautiously optimistic during this investigation because we had good solid leads from the very beginning," said Chief Derrick Watson of the Double Oak Police Department, Loskot's home town."We are very, very happy of her safe return."

Watson held a 5 a.m. news conference to announce the overnight developments.

Loskot's husband Gary was on his way to Amarillo to meet with his wife Friday morning.
