Well, when I posted this early yesterday evening, I had plans to watch DWTS, but the conspiracy continues and I missed it again.  I got called out to help with a dead car battery.     However, we do have youtube and etc., and I've gone to the DTWS thread and will be reading, updating and checking in there.  I posted last nights Competition Scores here:
http://scaredmonkeys.net/index.php?topic=12052.msg1475979#msg1475979

Our San has posted an article in the DWTS thread about how "New York dance experts judge the contestants"

OWN has a great segment on Sex Offenders with Lisa Ling.  Very insightful.

This is the appropriate forum, I think, for this picture.

It's the dude who shot dead 8 in a beauty salon. I added the text.

If this chi was smaller, it would look (and act) a lot like my Mom's 14 year old teacup named "Mabel".  She doesn't really bite, but she can pull an uggy face and show you her grill in a split second.  She was actually my Dad's girl, and when he was near the end of his life Mabel stayed next to him and my Mom would have to throw a towel over Mabel to take her off his bed.  The hospital let me take her in to see him, since he was too sick to go out to see her.  His last words were that he wanted to see his little dog. The picture of this chi brings back memories...

Klaas or Muffy, if the pic is improper let me know so I don't continue adding it. I think it was photobucket who tagged it... arg!

WOO HOO!!

The forum's back up!!

I was trying to post these when it went down, so I'll try again now!

John and I took the afternoon off Thursday to head up to the apple orchard at Little Switzerland. The Fall colors aren't at peak yet, but it was still pretty. I didn't have a camera so I used my cell phone to get a few pics (quality therefore sucks). It's such a pretty drive! We've been taking care of a 2 year old who hams up the word "cheese" when his picture's being taken, and John was mimicking him when I snapped the one of him!

Every chi I've ever encountered seems to have that personality, Muffy, and I've always figured that there had to be a flip side because their owners seem to be very, very devoted. That Mabel stayed so close to your Dad confirms that. I've always said that it's a real indication that somebody has a big heart when they can sincerely love a dog and I'm sure it's true of your Dad. As long as things stir our memories, in a way, our loved ones never really leave us. Hugs, Muffy.

Beautiful.  I haven't made my yearly "leaves turning" siteseeing trip yet.  Thought I would next weekend.  We have lots of trees that are a fire-red.  Appears the leaves are changing sooner this year than last.  My mums are blooming and it is a little early for them also  (fire red also).

John appears to be a ham!!!!

Lovely pics there. Boy, how this year flew by!!

There's a program on PBS that's been airing this week, about dogs.

It's shown at least six times, so I finally caught it, and it is awesome. It teaches a lot about how intelligent dogs are, and about their history. It shows in other PBS channels, like "World", besides the regular PBS.

Gotta love them love muffins.

Gorgeous pictures CBB!!  Thank you for sharing.

Moosee - I Googled PBS Dogs and it looks like they've had a number of shows about dogs.    I like PBS and Doggies.

CBB - our family spent the long weekend in the North GA mountains.  It was so beautiful.  Got me in the mood for the holidays.  Your photos are lovely.
