what is with the dismembering of bodies lately???   so sad ! not good enough to murder someone anymore, these idiots have to disrespect the victims further by dismembering them?? Can't understand how anyone could do such a thing!
Cookie, I agree.  Has there been a rash to tv programs perhaps with dismemberment as a way of disposal in them?  What is motivating this gruesome finish to crimes?  It is a puzzlement.

Arrest Report: Las Vegas Dancer's Body Found in 2 Tubs of Cement

LAS VEGAS -- The man accused of killing a Las Vegas dancer told police the crime happened in the heat of the moment, according to the arrest report.

Jason "Blu"Griffith was arrested Friday night at the Mirage where he performs as a dancer in the Love show. He is accused of killing Deborah Flores-Narvaez who was reported missing in December after going to visit Griffith.

Read the arrest report  http://www2.8newsnow.com/docs/griffith.pdf

The arrest report details how police were tipped to a vacant home in downtown Las Vegas where the dancer's dismembered body was found in cement in two plastic tubs.

A friend of Griffith's, told police that initially Flores-Narvaez's body was in one plastic tub with cement but the two men broke it out of the tub because it was leaking. The friend, Louis Colombo described to police how Griffith used a handsaw to cut of Flores-Narvaez's legs so they could fit her body into two tubs.

In the arrest report, Colombo said he learned of the murder after he showed up at Griffith's home and Griffith told him this was a "Change your diaper moment."  Colombo said the woman's body was lying on the floor and he got sick to his stomach.

Police say Griffith initially told one officer when he was being transported to the Clark County Detention Center that Flores-Narvaez attacked him. He also said he did all the "amateurish stuff" afterwards.

Showgirl's Boyfriend Called Murder a Crime of Passion, Police Say
January 10, 2011

The man accused of killing a Las Vegas showgirl told detectives her death was a "heat of the moment thing," and police say his roommate helped stash the woman's dismembered body, according to an arrest report obtained by PEOPLE.

Jason "Blu" Griffith, 32, and the other man attempted to hide the body of Debbie Flores-Narvaez, 31, in a cement tub in multiple places before they finally dismembered the remains and stored them in a home whose residents were out of the country, the report says.

Griffith was arrested early Saturday morning for the murder and is due in court Wednesday. The unidentified roommate "agreed to tell detectives what happened if he would not be arrested or prosecuted on the condition he did not have anything to do with the murder," the report says.

So far, the unidentified roommate has not been arrested.

According to the report, Flores-Narvaez and Griffith argued inside Griffith's home on the evening of Dec. 12. Griffith's roommate "had to pull Griffith off of Flores-Narvaez because he was choking her with his hands around her neck," the report says.

The roommate left after things calmed down, then returned only to find Flores-Narvaez dead. He was not present when she was killed, the report indicates, but acknowledged that he helped in trying to hide and dispose of they body.

The two men put the body into an empty plastic tub, covering it with concrete they had just purchased, according to the report. After renting a U-Haul truck to transport the tub, Griffith and his roommate intended to store the tub in several friends' apartments.

They were in the process of moving the tub to a friend's home, but she told them to leave when they revealed what was in the tub, the report says. They also tried to move it to another person's apartment, but the unit was on the second floor and they couldn't carry it up the stairs, according to the report.

They finally took the body to a home in downtown Las Vegas where the body was stored first in a single tub, then dismembered days later and stored in two separate concrete-filled tubs, the arrest report says. The roommate was at the scene when Griffith allegedly cut up the body with a saw, the report says.

The residents of the home were out of the country and wouldn't be returning soon.

The gruesome arrest report details the volatile relationship between Flores-Narvaez and Griffith, describing three previous domestic violence incidents. While being driven to the Clark County Detention Center, where Griffith is being held without bail, he told detectives the murder "was not a premeditated thing and that it was a heat of the moment thing that happened," the report says

The discovery of Flores-Narvaez's body and Griffith's arrest ended a nearly month-long search for the showgirl, who starred in Luxor's Fantasy and danced professionally at several of the Las Vegas's top nightclubs.

'Dexter' Connection in Gruesome Vegas Murder
January 10, 2011

"Dexter" -- the show about a charming serial killer -- was used as bait to lure a Las Vegas showgirl to her death ... this according to investigators.
According to the Las Vegas Metro Police Department, 31-year-old Deborah Flores-Narvaez told her roommate she was going to her boyfriend's house to watch "Dexter" on December 12 ... the last day she was seen alive.

Cops believe when Deborah got to her BF's house, the two got into a fight -- and the BF choked her to death. Cops believe the BF -- an alleged scumbag named Jason Griffith -- then chopped off her legs and buried her in cement in an effort to hide the body.

Eventually, Jason's roommate -- who was allegedly involved in hiding the body -- informed police about the killing and led cops to Flores-Narvaez's corpse.

Griffith was arrested and charged in connection with the murder -- and according to the Las Vegas Sun, he told police the killing was "not a premeditated thing."

Police: Dancer was lured to ex's home
January 10, 2011

Investigators believe the ex-boyfriend of slain Las Vegas dancer and former NFL cheerleader Deborah "Debbie" Flores-Narvaez used the Showtime drama "Dexter" to entice her to his home before her brutal murder, the Las Vegas Metro Police Department told TMZ on Monday.

Flores-Narvaez, 31, told her roommate she was going to the North Las Vegas home of Jason "Blu" Griffith to watch the show on Dec. 12, the last day she was seen alive.

After she arrived, a fight erupted between the couple and Griffith allegedly choked her to death. With the help of his roommate, Louis Colombo, Griffith then dismembered and buried her remains in plastic tubs covered in cement, according to a police report.

Griffith, 32, was arrested Jan. 8 and is scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.

BREAKING NEWS: Coroner Determines Cause of Dancer's Death

Jan. 11, 2011

LAS VEGAS -- The Clark County Coroner's office has ruled that asphyxiation was the cause of death for Las Vegas dancer Debora Flores Narvaez.

The coroner says Flores Narvaez died as a result of compression to her neck.

The 31-year-old woman's body was discovered dismembered in two cement filled trunks. Her ex-boyfriend, Jason "Blu" Griffith has been arrested in connection with her murder. He is also a dancer and performed in the Love show. He was in court in North Las Vegas Tuesday morning for his 72 hour hearing. His bail was denied.

Debbie Flores-Narvaez Update: Ex-Boyfriend Allegedly Dumped Dancer's Dismembered Body in Cement
January 11, 2011

LAS VEGAS (CBS/KLAS) Jason "Blu" Griffith, the man accused of killing Las Vegas burlesque dancer Debbie Flores-Narvaez, told officers that his ex-girlfriend's death was a "heat of the moment thing," according to the arrest report.
(snip)
According to police reports, Griffith and Flores-Narvaez got into a physical confrontation the night she allegedly went missing, reports CBS affiliate KLAS. Griffith's roommate, Louis Colombo, reported to police he had to pull Griffith off of Flores-Narvaez because he was choking her. Colombo says he eventually left, but when he returned, Flores-Narvaez was dead on the floor.

The roommates then placed the body in a plastic tub and later filled it with concrete, according to the arrest report. Griffith reportedly rented a U-Haul and the two men took the tub to the house of a friend who was out of the country.

But at some point, the tub began to leak and a couple of days later, the men returned with two new tubs, a sledge hammer, hand saw and cleaning supplies, reports KLAS. Both men allegedly dismembered Flores-Narvaez's body and placed the parts in the two new tubs and once again filled them with cement before hiding the tubs in a closet.

At a Saturday news conference, police said they got a vital tip from one of Griffith's friends, which led them to the dancer's body.

When investigators contacted Colombo, he agreed to provide a statement if they agreed not to arrest him for Flores-Narvaez's murder. However, defense attorney John Momot, who isn't connected to this case, says even if police agreed to a deal the district attorney doesn't have to honor the agreement and can still file charges.

Celeste Flores-Narvaez, the victim's sister, is furious that Colombo has not been arrested.

"In my book, they're both killers," she said. "They're both murderers. They both should be held accountable."

Griffith is scheduled to have a probable cause hearing January 11.

Ex-boyfriend held without bail in ‘Fantasy’ dancer’s death
January 11, 2011

Jason Griffith made his first court appearance Tuesday morning before a North Las Vegas judge after being arrested Saturday in connection with the death of his ex-girlfriend, Luxor "Fantasy" dancer Debora Flores Narvaez.

Griffith, 32, who is being held without bail in the Clark County Detention Center, appeared for a 72-hour hearing before Justice of the Peace Natalie Tyrrell via a video screen.

Tyrrell called out his name and Griffith walked slowly to a microphone in the jail. He said nothing and stood stoically in front of the camera.

"The charge is murder and you're going to continue to be held without bail at this time. You may be seated," Tyrrell told him from her North Las Vegas courtroom.

Later in the morning, the court set Griffith's formal arraignment for 8 a.m. Wednesday in North Las Vegas Justice Court.

Also Tuesday morning, the district attorney's office filed a formal complaint against Griffith, charging him with three felonies: murder, battery constituting domestic violence - strangulation, and destroying evidence.

The Clark County Coroner's Office ruled Tuesday her death was the result of asphyxiation due to neck compression.

According to a police report released Monday, Flores Narvaez's body was found dismembered, encased in concrete in two plastic tubs at a Las Vegas apartment after she had been missing since Dec. 12.

The police report indicates Griffith's roommate, Louis Colombo, said Griffith killed Flores Narvaez and that he helped Griffith try to dispose of the body.

Colombo, who has not been arrested, told police the two of them first encased the body in cement in a large plastic tub. Colombo told police they tried to store it at a friend's apartment, but the woman refused when she was told that Florez Narvaez was in the tub.

Colombo told police he and Griffith then decided to break the body out of the large plastic tub and dismember it so it would fit into two smaller plastic tubs. They filled the two tubs with cement and stored them in an apartment near Bonanza Drive and Las Vegas Boulevard, according to the police report.

Police learned the location of the body after the woman came to them and then they questioned Colombo, who gave them the location, the police report said.

Ex-Boyfriend Faces Multple Charges In Former Redskins Cheerleader Murder
January 11, 2011

LAS VEGAS (AP) -- Prosecutors filed murder and other charges against a Las Vegas dancer accused of strangling his former girlfriend, sawing off her legs and covering her body with concrete, according to a criminal complaint released Tuesday.

Jason Griffith, 32, is due in court Wednesday for an arraignment and probable cause hearing on charges of murder, battery domestic violence and destroying evidence filed in the strangulation of 31-year-old Debora Flores Narvaez.

A coroner's report found that Flores Narvaez, a burlesque dancer, was asphyxiated before she was encased in the concrete. Her death was ruled a homicide, Clark County Assistant Coroner John Fudenberg said.

Griffith did not speak as he appeared briefly Tuesday by video monitor in North Las Vegas Justice Court, where a judge ordered him held without bail.

Flores Narvaez's dismembered body was found early Saturday in two plastic tubs in a downtown Las Vegas home after she was reported missing on Dec. 14. Police said Griffith sawed off her legs and stored them in plastic bags before storing her body in the containers.

Griffith was arrested Saturday as he was leaving his job at the Cirque du Soleil show "Love" at the Mirage hotel and casino. Griffith had performed in the "Love" show since April 2008.

He told police he killed Flores Narvaez during an argument in "a heat of the moment thing," according to an arrest report.

Flores Narvaez danced in the burlesque show "Fantasy" at the Luxor hotel and casino.

Her family planned a memorial service Thursday night in Las Vegas.
The coroner's report said the family wanted her name published as Flores Narvaez, but the dancer spelled her name Deborah Flores-Narvaez on several personal websites verified by her only sister.

Police records showed Flores Narvaez and Griffith had been dating for about a year when police responded to a domestic violence call involving the couple on Oct. 22.

She told police she was pregnant with Griffith's child when he stole her phone, pushed her to the ground, kicked her and yanked out her hair. Griffith denied hitting her.

Flores Narvaez told her roommate she was going to watch "Dexter," a television show about a serial killer, with Griffith on Dec. 12. Police said Griffith killed her that night in his home.

Debbie Flores-Narvaez Update: Sister of Slain Dancer Removed From Court After Emotional Outburst
January 13, 2011

The sister of slain burlesque dancer Debora Flores-Narvaez, whose dismembered body was found in two cement plastic tubs Friday, was removed from a North Las Vegas courtroom Wednesday after screaming at the man accused of murdering her sister.
"I hope you rot in hell," yelled the victim's sister, Celeste Flores Narvaez, before bailiffs escorted her out of the courtroom.

Jason "Blu" Griffith, 32, was charged with murder, battery-domestic violence with strangulation, and destruction of evidence in connection with the dancer's death.

Police say Griffith strangled his former girlfriend, cut off her legs and covered her body with concrete, reports CBS affiliate KLAS.

Debora was reported missing Dec.14 by her roommate who became worried when she failed to show up for a performance of "Fantasy," the nightly burlesque show at the Luxor hotel and casino where she worked. Police say she was killed Dec.12.

Griffith's roommate, Louis Colombo, who reportedly helped Griffith cover-up the murder, asked police for immunity in exchange for information about Debora's murder, according to KLAS. He has not been arrested.

"In my book, they're both killers," said the victim's sister. "They're both murderers. They both should be held accountable."

Defense attorney John Momot, who isn't connected to this case, said even if police agreed to a deal the district attorney doesn't have to honor the agreement and can still file charges against Colombo.

Griffith, a performer in the Cirque du Soleil "Love" show at The Mirage resort-casino, is being held without bail and is due in court again for his preliminary hearing February 15.

Memorial service for slain ex-Redskins cheerleader
January 13, 2011

The family of a Las Vegas Strip burlesque dancer and former Washington Redskins cheerleader whose body was found dismembered and encased in concrete plans a church memorial service.

Celeste Flores Narvaez said a Catholic Mass will be held Thursday for her younger sister.

Debora Flores Narvaez performed in the "Fantasy" show at the Luxor casino resort.

She told a roommate she was going to her ex-boyfriend's house Dec. 12 to watch a television show.

An arrest report alleges the former boyfriend, Jason Griffith, strangled her during an argument.

Griffith is a 32-year-old dancer in the Cirque du Soleil Beatles show, "Love," at The Mirage.

He faces murder, battery domestic violence and destroying evidence charges.

Prosecutors say Griffith cut up and tried to store the body in containers filled with concrete.

Family of murdered dancer sets up memorial fund for domestic violence victims
January 13, 2011

North Las Vegas, NV (KTNV) - After a morning outburst in the courtroom, the sister of a murdered woman takes action to make sure other women don't face the same fate.

The family of the Luxor dancer, allegedly murdered by her ex-boyfriend is setting up a fund to help other women caught in the cycle of domestic abuse.

Celeste Flores Narvaez says she was surprised when she saw her sister's accused killer, Jason Griffith, in North Las Vegas court Wednesday morning.

"I hope you rot in hell you f---ing ---hole for what you did to her! you f---ing ---hole, i hope you rot in hell, i hope you rot in hell," Celeste yelled from the back of the courtroom.

"I guess I just kind of blacked out and said it," Celeste said later.

Impossible to judge what its like to be in her shoes.    Celeste spent days searching for her sister, Deborah Flores Narvaez, only to learn police found her dismembered body encased in cement in an abandoned house.   Police say strangled to death by Griffith.

"its really extremely important for women to understand that they don't have to deal with this, that they can talk to somebody, they don't have to be afraid," Celeste says.

Celeste wants women to know they can talk to people like Marlene Richter, of The Shade Tree, a shelter for abused women.

"In this case we were holding out hope that maybe she was hiding somewhere, so this was the worst possible outcome, what a tragedy," Richter says.

Celeste has set up a fund to take donations in Debbie's name.    Anything left over from funeral expenses will go to The Shade Tree's Survivor Services Center.

"That's there memorial tribute to her, to help others," Marlene says.

"There's always a way out. It doesn't have to be like this," Celeste says.

The fund for Debora Flores Narvaez is set up at Nevada State Bank under her name.

A public vigil will also be held for Debora from 11am to noon this Friday at Luxor's Atrium Showroom.

Sister Removed During Slaying Suspect's Court Appearance
January 12, 2011

LAS VEGAS -- The sister of a slain Las Vegas Strip performer was removed from a North Las Vegas courtroom on Wednesday after an outburst directed at the woman’s suspected killer.

Celeste Flores Narvaez shouted, “I hope you rot in hell,” and several profanities at Jason “Blu” Griffith as Griffith was being arraigned on charges of murder, battery domestic violence and destroying evidence.

She was escorted out of the courtroom by bailiffs on the verge of tears. Flores Narvaez later told FOX5's Stefanie Jay that she called the judge to apologize for her behavior.

Wow. Just trying to get caught up on this thread. What a tragic fate for this young girl! Kudo's to the people who came forward to end the family's quest to find Deborah. My prayers are with her family.
