I wonder how many times Cindy wanted to talk to Casey just to encourage her to get a "real" attorney. I guess she wouldn't tell her in the many letters passed back and forth via Baez.(I'm sure he read them before giving them to Casey) If Cindy said anything negative about Baez, you can bet Casey NEVER got to read them.

Cindy can't be that stupid to think Bozo is doing a "bang-up" job as a defense attorney, can she????.........

self edit...

If CA ever had faith in JB I'm sure she has lost it by now, and I am surprised she hasn't been running her mouth on TV about it, trying to get rid of him. Those new Attys must know she's on the verge of being charged with significant crimes, and forced her to keep her trap shut.

Saw this posted over at Websleuths. http://www.websleuths.com/forums/showpost.php?p=6006430&postcount=695
WESH just reported they HAVE a copy of Baez's check and a letter written by Mason to Jeff Ashton asking him NOT to cash it..and hopes he will not argue against their Motion for Reconsideration

No link, yet...Nums?

The Reporter did state that the SAO Office said the check and letter are not going to be released as Public Record BUT when the Court Admin received it, he said they gave him (reporter) a copy.

Waiting for Link to be posted on WESH...

I was watching a show last night which I have never watched before. (There was nothing else on) It was called Investigations & I think it was on the Discovery channel. It was about a Major in the Dade County Police dept who was stopped in Orange County (same area) and he was charged with resisting arrest because he was acting belligerent and refusing to cooperate with officers. Guess WHO was the defendant's attorney? Mason.

This was a few years ago but he screwed up that case SO horribly by trying to plead to the jury that the man was targeted because he was black and it was a racial thing.  The state let him go through his WHOLE speech accusing the officers of only stopping the man on "trumped up" charges because he was black. He went on and on about the man being black and being a target.

Then the state brought out the patrol car video and showed how the guy did resist arrest. (not really bad, but he did have a gun and they were concerned with him refusing to obey them) All four officers testified to the same thing the video showed. Mason obviously had not even bothered to subpoena the first officer's video and EVERYONE knows they record all traffic stops. It was SUCH a screw up by him in my opinion as the guy being a police officer could have worked that out without even being fined if he had agreed to plead guilty to a misdemeanor instead of asking for a jury trial for the felony charges. The state offered him that but he went on Mason's opinion that it would all be found not guilty by the jury.

Now, the guy who had been on the force 28 years, ready to retire got jail time from the jury and lost not only his job but his retirement as well. He should have sued Mason and maybe did. If I could remember his name I would try to look it up, but I have a feeling this is a common theme in Mason's trials - NOTHING being done correctly to give the defendant a fair trial. This guy needed a reprimand for being such an azz but he didn't hurt anyone or fight them. It was more a misunderstanding the way TV showed it and the Orlando police not being impressed with someone in LE from Miami who gave them grief.

Werner Spitz may question Dr. G's work, but I question his.  In the Andrea Yeats trial, he single-handedly IMO caused a new trial which reversed the guilty verdict.  (IMO Yeats was guilty as sin, but that's another story.) He testified that Yeats got the idea to kill her children from a TV drama with which he had some connection.  Only problem was, the TV show had not been shown prior to the murders. Bingo! New trial.

He can question all he wants - I guess that's why he's being paid- but it won't go anywhere.
He says Dr G did not 'open the skull' - umm, Dr G did not need to open the skull-  all she had to do was remove the duct tape, with that the mandible would separate and she could look directly into the skull.

That is TOO STUPID to even comment on but I will anyway. LOL - WHY would she need to OPEN the skull - the skull was ALREADY OPEN from the mandible being only held up by duct take. If I read the report correctly that skull had been rinsed not once but more an once with saline. If there was any sediment in it that would have settled in which position they laid the skull after the washing which proves NOTHING about how the body laid in the marsh. GEESH.........

These @ssclowns are going to be the reason my head implodes.......VERY soon!

First of all, why is Jar Head cleaning up all of Bozo's messes??
Because Bozo is an arrogant coward, and can't own up to his blunders and mistakes.
I'll say it again.....Bozo and Skank are a match made in He!!

Isn't Bozo's goal to get qualified to be a death penalty attorney? (first chair)
Personally I don't think he has a chance in he!!
I would think sanctions would disqualify his @ss in a new york minute.

Casey Anthony: What are the defense attorneys up to?
Caylee and Casey Anthony, Jose Baez, WESH — posted by halboedeker on January, 13 2011 6:54 PM

Tonight’s WESH-Channel 2 report on the Casey Anthony case certainly raised a few questions about the defense team.
WESH’s indefatigable Bob Kealing reported that defense attorney Cheney Mason sent a letter along with Jose Baez’s $583 check for a court fine. In the letter to prosecutor Jeff Ashton, Mason talked about Baez’s youth and experience level. Mason also asked prosecutors to consider not cashing the check.

Kealing said Mason is trying persuade Ashton not to oppose a defense motion asking Chief Judge Belvin Perry to reconsider Baez’s fine for willful violation of the judge’s order.

Which made me made wonder:

1. Are Baez and Mason talking to each other?

2. Did Baez give Mason the blessing to send the letter?

3. Does Baez have enough money in the bank to cover the check?

4. Why did Mason put these thoughts in writing — which are now in the public record?

5. Why would Mason call attention to Baez’s youth and experience?

This latest move is bringing even more attention to the defense team’s methods. How does that help Casey Anthony? And shouldn’t her defense be the attorneys’ main focus? She is charged with first-degree murder in the death of her daughter, Caylee.

The defense attorneys sound like children who won’t take any criticism. In the WESH report, veteran attorney Jeff Deen seemed exasperated with the defense team. “This is starting to wear down everybody,” Deen said.

Probably a big ole' rubber check that bounced to the moon!!
Bozo is going to be rocketed there tomorrow by JP.

I bet the hearing time was changed because maintenance needs some extra time to put new springs on JP's chair. I think he'll be bouncing double time!

Let's see now.......... mason jar asks the prosecution to "PWEEZE, PWEEZE don't challenge our motion?"

I suppose since all of their motions are too stupid to get by JP, Mason figures he'll try to get this one past the Judge by begging the prosecution to "let them win one."

This is the background on the million dollar lawsuit filed against Masonn- The original suit was filed in Texas but the judge didn't find standing in that state so they refiled and that suit is pending.

Mason seems to make a habit of letting his MOUTH WRITE CHECKS his butt can't cash.

The check does not belong to J Ashton, it was made out to the State of Florida, so he can hardly send it back.
Baez' reputation couldn't be any worse, it took years for him to be allowed to practice Law because of his disreputable behavior, he has paraded before the Media and taunted people constantly. Now because he is too idiotic to know that documents ordered by a Judge have to be produced on time, he is supposed to be cut some slack. Really.  Youth and inexperience!
There are lots of Surgeons out there way younger than him who have lives in their hands every day- 40 years is plenty to have developed a professional way of behaving -he needs to grow up and take his responsibilities seriously or he is going to end up being disbarred.
