It happened one night? Confused

Hopefully you are referring to the car pictured above.

Nope that car is not in 'It happened one night'.

The car belonged to a 'fun loving' couple in the movie.

hmmmmmmmmmmm

Lucy and Desi?

That's the 'Long Long Trailer'.

It's a New Moon trailer and Desi has traded in his old Mercury for a new 53 Mercury Convertible to pull the trailer.

In the mountain climbing scene though they used a Lincoln to pull the trailer, guess they figured no one would notice.

I didn't notice... but I was young when I saw it.. but I love that movie... loved it....

Character Actor Bruno Kirby died today at age 57.

Best known for his work in City Slickers and When Harry Met Sally...he had an impressive career appearing in many movies and tv roles.

I'll always think of him as YOUNG Clemenza in GFII.

Kirby died of leukemia.

REST IN PEACE~

I hate hearing this....

yes, may he RIP

Oh my goodness regarding the "Long Long Trailer" - I saw it when I was 10 and the local small town movie theater cost 13 cents for a double feature!

This one is specifically for Jacqueline, but everyone else can take a guess.

It's a very old movie (but it was in color) about a ballerina. It won two Oscars.

The actress died 1/31/06 in England at 80 years old.

The tagline is "Dance she did, and dance she must."

What is the movie and who was the actress?

I'll check back with you later.

Jacqueline, you got the correct answer.
The Red Shoes (1948) with Moira Shearer.
I didn't know it would be so easy to guess.

I did not know the actress...

But I sure do remember the movie.

As a kid I was a night owl and loved to watch old movies at night!

That one was brilliant!

Wish I had TCM and cable back then!

I had 6 channels and pbs!   LOL

Many a night I remember the way stations used to sign off around 2 or 3 am with the National Anthem playing and a picture of the American Flag.

Thank Goodness for CBS which always stayed on late with the Milkman Movie.....

Anyone remember that??? Embarassed
