I'm just an old geezer who never had any kids, but that movie 'Father of the Bride II' sure does tug at the old heart strings.

I tend not to watch those remakes.   I saw and even have the original versions  of those with Spencer Tracy.

Sorry, both OF's and Jacque's clues are familiar but just can't make a connection yet.

There are three directors that I've tried to avoid watching because from what I had seen of their trailers and reviews I didn't think they made the kind of movies I would want to watch.

Tarantino with 'Kill Bill' series and 'Pulp Fiction' has won me over.

From what I've seen I'm still refraining from watching any Tim Burton movies.

And I'm ambivalent on Oliver Stone movies, I've enjoyed his early movies but have been avoiding his latest ones because of his political slant in some of them.

I loved the followin of Tim Burton:  Edward Scissor Hands, and Batman.

Oliver Stone:  Did not like the one where the young couple went on a killing rampage, the name escapes me now...But I did like JFK ~

Check out Tarantino's Resevoir Dogs....I won't kid you,it's got some very violent scenes that I close my eyes too, but it is clever and riveting.

Yeah, I've seen bits and pieces of 'Edward Scissorhands' but afraid was not enamored of what I saw. It was the movie that turned me off on the acting of
Johnny Depp, just too weird for me.

The Pirates series has changed my mind on Johnny.

Never have been a fan of the latest Batman movies, not sure if I've seen Burtons version.

Yes, I'll not avoid any of Tarantino's movies in the future, course I still might not like them, but I'm more than willing to give them a try now.

Actually Johnny Depp has quite a range as an actor.

Check him out in some more mainstream roles, if you have not already:

Donnie Brasco....
Blow
What's eating Gilbert Grape

to name a few........

Jacqueline,

I'm a Tarantino fan with Pulp Fiction and the Kill Bill series. I very well remember the horror of Reservoir Dogs. I didn't know who Tarantino would become.

I loved Edward Scissor Hands. He was Oscar nominated for that role. I agree that Johnny Depp is so DEEP as an actor. Did you see him in the French foreign movie "Chocolat" as a gypsy? He was Oscar nominated for that too. He is amazing.

Rodney Dangerfield's final resting place. You were talking about him. It does not have a year of birth or death. Under his name it says, THERE GOES THE NEIGHBORHOOD. The wreath of roses is fresh every week. Once I saw a florist with his van making the arrangement along with a woman who must have been a relative of Rodney's.

I wound up in this cemetery because my friend Judith is interred there two doors down from Fanny Brice and her family. I was amazed to see all the celeb's graves.

Let me know if you want pics. I even have Valentino.

Louise, don't know if you watch Turner Classic Movies or not, but one of their segments is a tour of different significant Hollywood must see's with daytime host BEN MANKIEWICZ and a partner in a red Ford Mustang convertible.

One of their segments was the cemetary and mausoleum where Rudolph is interred. There was a lady guide who explained all about how he got there and why. She also showed the Hosts around to other significant graves such as Marion Davies buried under her real name Douras.

It's a very cute segment with a joke about guaranteed celebrity sightings and how you knew it was a Hollywood cemetary because it had a gift shop.

She missed Rodneys grave. I'd be delighted if you wanted to provide a bit of a photo tour of the place.

Not to just get you out of the house or anything.

George, I have pics from the Hollywood cemetery where Valentino is, and from the Westwood cemetery where Rodney is. Don't worry, I won't have to get out of the house ... I already have the pics. I will provide some but right now it's late even on the west coast.

Yes, I did see that.
I just love him.
His first role I remember him in was Nightmare on Elm Street, he got sucked in by Freddie on a bed and even though his role was short it's hard to forget that face.

And yes, he has much depth as an actor.

Love him.

Like Car, I was turned off on Depp with Edward Scissorhands. Recently though, with Pirates, my interest in his movies has been piqued. I even watched Edward again, and actually enjoyed it this time.

It's funny how when an actor plays a part so well, especially a character that is abhorrent, one equates the character's traits with the actual actor. I still am repulsed by Glenn Close from her role in Fatal Attraction. And that poodle perm she had actually made it even worse (seriously).

Ah hah hah, dummy me, I was trying to think of a famous club 'dive' that Rodney would have mentioned.

Yep the winning dive was the Triple Lindy.
