Law enforcement agencies in the north state were warned to be on the lookout today for a man wanted in the shooting of an Oregon police officer.

A van matching the description of what David Anthony Durham, 43, of Portland, Ore., might be driving was spotted on southbound Interstate 5 Tuesday at 4 p.m. in Siskiyou County, said a California Highway Patrol dispatcher. The white 1998 GMC Savana van has pictures of sandpipers on its sides and the words "Sandpiper Plumbing." The van has Oregon license plates ZFE 895 and the man may have a black-and-white Labrador dog with him.

Police Shooting Suspect May Be In Northstate

For those that don't know this is Northern California

It's about an 11 hour drive straight down the 5 from Redding to Tijuana Mexico

At this point, it's really hard to hope for any sort of good outcome.  What happened to this sweet innocent boy? He deserved so much more. If Justice is all I can hope for, I want it! The thought that anyone could get away with harming Kyron is just too much.

Today is February 4, marking 8 months since Kyron went missing.

I believe he's headed down to Mexico

I wonder if he stole this van or he knows the "Sandpiper Plumbing" people somehow.  It seems that somebody knew he might be driving it from the way the story is worded.

My guess is he stole it.

Oh gosh they always end up in NorCal! The area of the sighting is on the other side of Mount Shasta. The Mt Shasta area is a perfect place for him to fit into and get lost. Very liberal minded, free spirited, anti government sort of attitude, or so I am told. I have never been there mind you but talked to people who have.

He shot at a fisherman so everyone is fair game for him.

So the van has a picture of Sandpiper birds along with the words sandpiper plumbing. That poor dog! I wonder where he got him from? Do you think maybe the dog was in the van if he stool it? Sucks for the plumber, the vans have thousands of dollars in equipment and tools inside. Must be an independent guy because that address shows up in a neighborhood.

It seems there were several sightings talked about and not knowing Oregon I get all turned around. Would you mind doing that?

Why?  because he is mentally ill.  Think of the mother in Florida who just shot her 2 teens foir being mouthy.

And the recent shooting in Arizona.  It makes sense to them

KoKo's cat thank you, you are sweet. Instead of saying you need to leave, why don't you just take a few days to gather your thoughts. I do that every now and then, it helps. I like to read your thoughts here, your input about the area has been so helpful to me. So hopefully you will stop by the thread again.

But investigations centering on white vans in both Jackson County in Oregon and Siskiyou County in California failed to turn up Durham. Palmer said Thursday afternoon that detectives now think it’s only an “extremely remote possibility” that Durham stole the van in Brookings.

Still, Palmer said there are plenty more leads for investigators to follow.
