Nearly 20-Year-Old Cold Case Reopened
TOMBALL —
Bridgitte Turner Seidel, 33, was found dead inside her Tomball home 19 years ago Monday.
"My mother found her lying in her bedroom, face down in the same position that she would always sleep in," said her sister, Cheryl Lamont.

Lamont said the autopsy on her youngest sister showed neck trauma and asphyxiation as the causes of death. But now, nearly two decades later, there's still little more information than that.

After interviews and an investigation, the Harris County Sheriff's Office never had enough evidence to name a suspect. The case was on the shelf for years until just recently.

"With the forensic science they have now, there's a lot of possibility with her case," said Lamont.

Lamont has pushed for answers and it appears she may be making progress. The investigation was reopened and HCSO officials said DNA testing that wasn't available back then may lead to a break.

In the meantime, it is a waiting game. The best hope of solving the case is through the public's help.
