Sorry Caylee, the jury took your day away.

I am very very white.  I watched OJs trial every single day of the entire trial.  I remember this clearly because I worked for an Ophthalmologist in Florida at the time, in is it Brooksville, Florida?  This doctor would only come to the office 3 days a week, so the rest of the time, I called patients, did insurance billing, etc., and watched the OJ trial.  Also watched it when patients were in, cause they all wanted to see it too.  The doctor wanted it on the TV when he was in there too.  It played on the TV all the time.  I remember being pissed having to wait because of the Florida time zone versus California time zone for it to start each day.

I remember when he was found not guilty. I was so flipping happy.  I was jumping up and down in the office the day of the verdict.  I did not think he did it.  I am probably the only person in US of A that thinks he was innocent.  I still think, that if he did it (no pun here) he didn't do it alone. I was not a fan of OJ before his murder trial, so it as not like my hero had fallen or anything.  I hated Marcia from the prosecution side.  I also feel that his conviction now was to appease America for him being found not guilty back then, but hey, I believe in Karma and OJ deserves this Karma, based on his actions following his innocent verdict (and in his murdering 2 innocent people, if he did it).

I cannot pinpoint why I didn't think he did it or if my opinion changed since then, I just could not (back then being naive) believe that a man could kill somebody (2 people in this case) in the vicious nature that they were killed and walk around and function without a care as OJ did.  My conscience would eat me up if I had done it.

I guess my point is that I don't think Juror skin color had anything to do with the verdict.  I am as white as white.  I think it was based on horrible case by the State and the state using the worst possible attorneys they had available to try this case.

Oh and we cannot forget the Forman (or is it Fohrman or some other spelling) debacle.  I hated him, and I am white, and I was a very young girl then, not married yet, no children, had not formed my morale base yet that leads me through my life as a mother.  yeah, I knew what right and wrong was, but I was a kid pretty much.

I don't ever believe in conspiracy now, but in that case, I believed they planted blood.  His lawyers did a fantastic job.

On the other hand, Scott Peterson's lawyers did a horrible job, and the state did a fantastic job.

The defense team chosen makes a huge difference in the outcome (no matter the evidence or the skin color of the jurors) as does whoever prosecutes the case.

I don't know if it's like this everywhere, but around here, if a lawyer advertises on TV, they're looser lawyers. I laughed out loud when Baez says in the video "Here at Baez Law Firm, we're on the cutting edge." REALLY? Is not even being able to understand the concept of deadlines imposed by the judge in a case, the cutting edge?

Ahhh!  I wondered where all Casey's money went!  Since this case hasn't led to stardom for Jose ... he's gone with "creative" advertising!   Monkey Devil!

BBM.
...hahaha! right!

Creative and yet unfinished advertising. His own bio/summary is missing: http://www.baezlawfirm.com/Jose/AboutUs_Jose_English.html

I also noticed that all the links on the FAQ page were missing.

All the videos on the main page were in Spanish.

If completed, would be a slick looking (albeit full of Bull) website.

JMO.

Baez is wearing some of caseys money and some went on a down payment for one of the luxury homes he couldnt keep up with. That tells you business hasn't been that profitable. And I dont seem to hear much support from other lawyers in the orlando kisssmee community. So if they dont like him there ! why would anywhere else make a difference.

No doubt I am the last to know and it's really nothing more than an interesting tidbit, but Kathy Reichs is a producer on the TV show Bones.  http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1933983/

"Mr. Baez did not lie to anybody and you are a pain …," Baez's co-counsel Cheney Mason told a WFTV reporter during a combative exchange outside the courtroom Friday. At one point, Mason summoned a court deputy to escort the legal team.

The defense team would not answer questions directly related to the case either. Mason grumbled about media coverage being unfair and unbalanced.

Though Baez refused reporters' questions, he took a moment outside the courthouse to pose for a picture with a female admirer.

What babies.  They need a court deputy to protect them from big old mean news reporter Kathy Belich.  What wimps.  Did the deputy step in?  I am pissed off at that deputy?  He should have told them to grow some.  Did the deputy arrest Jar (or was it Bozo) for assault when he pushed Kathy (who has just had surgery) with their briefcase?   I hope she files charges.

Zoomom, you weren't the only one. The state didn't make their case for  me either. Cochoran, Scheck and Bailey did a masterful job. I really believed them and felt at the time LAPD really screwed up.
