.Investigators said deviant images and pornographic videos and pictures were found on a computer and memory stick confiscated in early January as part of the investigation into the disappearance of 13-year-old Hailey Dunn from Colorado City.

The Dell Inspirion 530 computer contained “approximately 108,498 pictures depicting deviant acts,” according to evidence returned from a search warrant issued from the 32nd District Court in Sweetwater.

The computer was taken from the home of Shawn Adkins’ mother in the 2800 block of Apache Street in Big Spring. Adkins, the former boyfriend of Hailey’s mother Billie Jean Dunn, is the only named suspect in the case.

A memory stick confiscated from a dresser in the master bedroom of the Dunn residence in Colorado City contained “320 images and videos of a pornographic nature.” The search warrants for digital media were issued Jan. 7 by 32nd District Judge Greg Harrison’s office.

I believe that internet and cell phone records are going to blow this case wide open ... especially  the origin of that text message sent to Mary Beth at 2:00 PM on the afternoon of December 27th ... the text message "allegedly" authored by Hailey.

Yes, a judge would sign that affidavit &/or warrant right away. Problem is that the police/investigators have to get to the bottom of who downloaded or viewed the content in question first... Remember, it was Shawn's mother's computer, at her house in Big Spring.

Thank you for saying that. I have always had allot of admiration for the man for trying to turn his own tragedy into something good. He tries to make a difference in memory of his daughter. It is a great coping mechanism. It keeps the mind busy. Otherwise you just lose it. I don't always agree with him but I think his heart is in the right place. For the life of me I do not know if I could have been as strong. I think the love Marc and Amber's Mom have for their children is what drives them.

I agree as well. I hope invision is given another chance. I think it might have been a misunderstanding, although I'm not privy to what all was posted. She seems to post from her heart. I think it was from the domain search data. I have a feeling it's bc the phone info wasn;t redacted so Carrie started getting calls or something. I didn't see anybody questioning her character, again I'm not sure as I didn;t see it - have been in and out all last night & today.

Klaas, in the future, should we refrain from posting whois data or domain search data? Or is it ok to post the info without the personal info such as phone #? Only problem I see, though, is if we still post the domain info, then the link will show the tele # anyway. I have a feeling people looked up that info on their own and threw Scared Monkeys under the bus. Seriously, I do think that. Every single true crime forum uses those same domain searches but it's Scared Monkeys that's the competetition. WS uses it all the time, just an example I have a feeling, literally, that this forum was used as a scapegoat to call Carrie. Also, I wouldn't be surprised if it was Shawn's and/or Billie's acquaintances calling anonymously, and blaming it on this site...which would be utterly ridiculous. Look what Tricia Trichel did with Clint & Naomi, heck I wouldn't even put it past anybody. From what I remember, alot of us were speculating that Billie could be "using" these charitable foundations to draw attention on anyone other than Shawn, then they advertise that a website was being set up so invision posted the domain info. Heck, I feel terrible bc if I were on and saw the web pages starting for Hailey when she did, and if I had the time on the computer last night, I may have looked it up and posted it too...just to be thorough for records that we keep on here & such. This was taken out of context...the only thing that was referred to as being bitter was his angst with law enforcement and his experience with that....certainly NOT what happened to his daughter by any stretch of the imagination as previously explained.  In my criticism I denoted that I think he has done respectable work in the past but in this case in particular I feel he is way off base & misguided.  Whether agreed or not he does exude a certain amount of arrogance, especially on NG and that is rather difficult to ignore at times.  He has also in turn criticized other organizations along the way trying to be helpful in missing person cases, one that is at the forefront of mind is Tim Miller.  The original post was not in any shape, way or form meant to cut the man as a parent victim of a murdered child....for that he has the entire world's empathy with the understanding that its the worst nightmare imaginable for anyone to face & survive.

Well we always need to be careful about personal information and phone numbers.  In this case the reason for information being posted and copied several times was that it was Carrie who purchased the domain.  I'm sure you would agree this is a unique situation and not likely to happen often.  It was personal information on Carrie that I objected to.

By the way, back in December 2008 Invision proclaimed she was never posting at SM again.  She returned December 2010 for some unknown reason.

LE did not take this as a "missing " child. They have inexperienced LE working in CCity.
Hailey was classed as a runaway. It was I believe four days before the dogs from the prison were called in.
There was a lot of lead time for the perp to clean up and cover their tracks.
I do read FB on this case once in a while and I do look at the gossip, but the most damning things are :
What was in the affadavit provided by LE, the history of the relationship ( 911 call ), between Shawn and Billie and what type of person he is, Shawn being the only named suspect, moving back in the house with Billie, DD living elsewhere, Billie's ever changing timeline with an enhancement every time she speaks, Hailey being afraid of Shawn, Hailey last seen by any verifiable source Sunday night, no one panics until Tuesday.

The videos, the MySpaces, the hobbies, the intoxicants used by too many of the ones who are the closest are also disturbing.

Hailey deserves more and she deserved better in this investigation.
Sure the Texas Rangers were called in and so was the FBI, but time has passed.
If there is someone in charge of LE there, I do not remeber seeing them, isn't it Trooper Sparky or the city manager making statments that are obtuse and don't they contradict each other and previous statments. There is a chief there, Bivens ? Where is he ?

I realize that CCity is small, small budget, but Texas is BIG and why doesn't the State have some funds / manpower available for utlization in not just this case, but other missing children in Texas.

I am so sorry! I should have taken my time and read the post better. When I read it I did not think that you are anyone else were disparaging Marc. I am not familiar with the conflicts with Marc and other search organizations other than his supporting of Billie in this case. (which I just think he trying to get to the bottom of what has happened) I was just responding to this portion of the post:

Please let it be known, everybody, if you ever have a problem with me or my posts, let me know so I can fix it. Wow on that link Klaas supplied. I know alot of us feel like we're involved bc we have so much time vested in these cases, and we all have points to make and want to be right (or conversely wrong as nobody wishes for a child to be found deceased), but attacking another poster is never a good thing. Fine to disagree with opinions, but never attacking in nature.
