Thanks for bringing that over, and MOO - I wonder if Clint's stmt has anything to do with Marc K being there this weekend.......remember how adamant he was on NG when he was at Billie's house about all the scenarios that would mean Hailey is still alive, how BD is pure as the driven snow (cough cough and paraphrasing of course), it just hit me that obviously Clint want to believe it even though we heard him on NG when he stated his first suspicion was Shawn.....now all of the sudden after KK searches, he has renewed hope and realistically that could only be the case if Shawn and Billie are innocent? Just tossing it around in my head.....

Also the fact that Klass Kids has arranged to get Billie and Shawn to Dallas for the sex trafficking rally....thoughts anyone

You know, something has to be going on.  At first he 'doesn't like it' that Shawn is there at the house, and now he's all ok with it?  I really think he must really be playing nice-nice with BD as if that's going to make her open up.  It won't.   He'll learn, and then we'll see what happens when he realizes it isn't working, and that BD is putting SA up (like she's already doing) to be the man of the house.  I also wonder how Naomi is going to take this.  Something has to be up, and I can't figure it out.

Look at the resources used in the Kyron Horman case, then look here. One child is not more valuable than another. Ditto for the Anthony case. I realize that CCity is small, small budget, but Texas is BIG and why doesn't the State have some funds / manpower available for utlization in not just this case, but other missing children in Texas.

I saw this real quick so thought I hurry to respond. TES said they need a more designated area to search bc the vastness of that area would be nearly impossible to cover and could deplete everything they have. They said they won't search without LE's go-ahead.

At first, I thought it was bc of the bad blood created between the two heads during HaLeigh Cummings' disappearance, but I don't really think that has anything to do with it now. Tim Miller is amazing with his searches. So is Marc Klaas, even though I don't agree with his approach right now. I sure wish they could work together, but I do think it's LE's choice. I seriously think Tim would be the best bet right now bc he knows that terrain better than anybody else.

Missing Hailey Dunn: Mysterious Text Message Before Disappearance
Jan 26, 2011

A text message was sent from Hailey's cell phone at 2:00 p.m., to her friend, on the date of her disappearance.
   
A month later, Hailey Dunn is still missing and the investigation continues. No arrests have been made in connection with her disappearance, and Shawn Adkins remains the primary “person of interest”.

A lot of the information obtained in the investigation has been accessible by the public, via press conferences, the family and Search Warrant Affidavits, unsealed to the public; however, one piece of information that remains unexplained is the mysterious text message discovered on Hailey’s cell phone on the date she was reported missing.

Hailey’s mother, Billie Dunn, mentioned the text message on CNN’s Nancy Grace, January 18, 2011. Billie Dunn said, prior to the investigators taking the cell phone, she had seen the message; however, there was no response to the text, by the friend.

The text message, according to law enforcement spokesperson, Pete Kampfer, was sent, from Hailey's cell phone, to a friend at 2:00p.m., December 27, 2010, the date of her disappearance. The text message simply stated “WYD”, (What are you doing?). Kampfer stated that no information concerning the text would be released, rather would be “held close to the investigation”.

There is no confirmation as to whether the message was received by the friend. Law enforcement are also not revealing the cell tower’s location of the “ping” for this text. This is significant, in that the cell tower’s location of the “ping” would indicate if the message was being sent from the same location Adkins’ cell phone records indicate or a different location.

Law enforcement have the cell phone records from this Verizon account, pursuant to the Search Warrant for the cell phone records of Billie Dunn, as well as for Shawn Adkins. Therefore, Adkins’ cell phone “pings”, at the time the message was sent, were being received by a cell tower in Big Spring, where his mother lives.

Adkins’ Verizon cell phone records indicate that he did not drive directly to his mother’s house in Big Spring, after leaving his employment, at approximately 6:10 a.m., as he first stated to investigators. His cell phone “pings” show his location to be in the area of Colorado City, Texas, the location of Hailey’s house, from 6:35 am to 6:56 am, with a break in usage until 9:38 am to 2:40 pm. At 2:40, his cell phone pings show his location to be in Big Spring, Texas. This is 40 minutes after the message was sent from Hailey’s cell phone.

Just a quickie to the post about tax returns.  Jan. 31 is the last date an employer can post mark your W-2 to be delivered to you.  You may file at any time you wish as long as you have a W-2.  My hubby got his first week of Jan. and we filed (I'm self emp. and keep currant so my stuff was ready to go)then and recieved return 8 days later by direct deposit.  It's totally up to your employer when they will have them ready.  Was just thinking about big screen tv's...my hubby and I bought a fairly big one because he and my Son are true gamers and the pic just can't be beat.  I'll bet the only person Billie Dunn was aiming to please with a big screen was SA!!!  Well, I don't know that for sure but I'd be willing to bet my last dollar on it.  MOO!

I never understood astrology, don't even read my own horoscope, but it sure was fascinating following their threads through Caylee Anthony's case. I also followed the Victoria Stafford case and man oh man were they right on target...right down to the garbage bags & location! I know this may not be everyone's forte but it's still interesting for a forensic perspective. Is this something that would be considered to add to this site or no bc it's not considered a "hard science"? Just wonderin'... The computer was taken from the home of Shawn Adkins’ mother in the 2800 block of Apache Street in Big Spring. Adkins, the former boyfriend of Hailey’s mother Billie Jean Dunn, is the only named suspect in the case.

A memory stick confiscated from a dresser in the master bedroom of the Dunn residence in Colorado City contained “320 images and videos of a pornographic nature.” The search warrants for digital media were issued Jan. 7 by 32nd District Judge Greg Harrison’s office.

Or is their a distinction here? In other words, was porn found AND something ELSE much more sinister than porn which would add the word "deviant"? I hope my question makes sense. TIA

I would also like to point out that my questions are my own. I just would like to do a little bit of sleuthing. I am trying to familiarize myself with this case without reading back 7 threads. I have another question. Why would Shawn state that Hailey could be found in Scurry county if Colorado City is in Mitchell county? I read that in the affidavits section here on scared monkeys.
