Janet, re your last post right above this one of mine, here's the cached google link to Peter's story as you referenced. I thought I'd supply the cache since the original one was taken down, by Peter, at the bequest of Clint, as Clint informs he's under alot of strain since that interview between Peter & Clint was posted. Anyway, here's the google cache, which informs ALOT imo.

I am not adding any further comment albeit I'm holding my tongue as it was addressed appropriately other than to state this:

POINT IN FACT FOR FUTURE REFERENCE:    It is common practice to site the origin of where something is being said by parties.  It should be noted that ANYONE can type up a transcript of something being said in the public domain or quote something verbatim as it was said in the public domain with no rights to the material as originally created.  There is no harm nor foul if another individual copies same to redistribute in the public domain, and courtesy to the typist should be appreciated but is not required.

As a previous professional transcriptionist for part of my working career, I can assure you I could have typed up a transcript from a radio blog show recording relatively quickly with ease.  If I did choose to do so I would always cite the broadcast site it originated from providing a link as well & denote the transcription as a verbatim or close to verbatim accounting of the broadcast but not to be taken as an original work product.   However, I will not speak to what should be common practice here because that would be overstepping & I feel that is being dealt with.

NANCY GRACE

What Happened to Hailey Dunn?

Aired November 16, 2012 - 20:00   ET

THIS IS A RUSH TRANSCRIPT. THIS COPY MAY NOT BE IN ITS FINAL FORM AND MAY BE UPDATED.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I`m standing in front of the home where Hailey was last seen. And after last night`s episode of NANCY GRACE, she`s not just the talk of the town, she`s the talk of the nation. And there`s a lot of buzz surrounding her mother`s boyfriend.

SHAWN ADKINS, MOTHER`S BOYFRIEND: We just want her to come home safe.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Adkins maintains his innocence, saying he had nothing to do with Hailey`s disappearance.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The house behind me is Hailey Dunn`s. It`s also the last place she was seen before disappearing more than a week ago. Hailey`s family and friends describe her as a bubbly 13-year-old that`s involved in sports, church and cheerleading.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hailey is a breath of fresh air at middle school. She is bubbly and happy and very involved in everything that goes on around here. She`s a big part of Colorado Middle School.

BILLIE DUNN, MOTHER: He went in Monday morning, but there was an argument, and he was fired or there was just a big blowup there. He walked out. He left.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We`re going to fill a hole there until she gets back.

NANCY GRACE, HOST: Did anybody else see her beside the boyfriend?

DUNN: Just my next-door neighbor.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: What was talk of the town is slowly becoming talk of the nation.

ADKINS: I would never do nothing to that little girl. I love her with all my heart.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hailey`s mother`s boyfriend, Shawn Adkins, was the last person to see 13-year-old Hailey Dunn alive before she disappeared.

ADKINS: It`s frustrating, you know, what she said about me and -- but it really doesn`t bother me because, you know, my main focus is just Hailey.

DUNN: I just was so thankful for the attention. That`s all. I just wanted Hailey safe up there.

Several leads, and they are checking into all of them, but they keep hitting dead ends.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

NANCY GRACE, HOST: The first time I heard about Hailey Dunn`s disappearance, it struck me she`s just the all-American little girl. She is a 13-year-old, an 8th grade cheerleader, scrubbed in sunshine, just as cute as a button.

And it almost seemed like a comedy of errors. The mom goes to work on an early morning shift in a hospital. The boyfriend, the live-in boyfriend, is at home. The father is basically across the street. It`s across a field from them. They think she`s going to see a little friend. The little friend says she never shows up. Nobody knows she`s missing. They think she`s over at the father`s house. He thinks she`s at the mother`s house. They think she`s at the friend`s house.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: She don`t like Shawn being there. But she wants her mom and dad to go back together, too.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Hailey`s mother and father separated three years ago.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I just don`t understand this because she doesn`t do this. She`s not the type to run away.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Connie Ostrander (ph) is Hailey`s other grandmother, who lives across town in Snyder (ph).

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Please just come home! We miss you so much! We love you. We need you here with us. If you get this, please, Hailey, come home!

(END VIDEO CLIP)
JEAN CASAREZ, "IN SESSION": This was a little girl that was born in a small town. She was 13 years old. She was a cheerleader. Think about what that must have meant to her as that young girl. She was a cheerleader in her small town in west Texas.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The search for Hailey Dunn is being spread throughout the community, across the bit country.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And orange ribbons remain a sign of solidarity and hope for Hailey`s safe return.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: You know, that -- I just want her to walk through the door.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: Nobody knew where this little girl was. And that did not become apparent until much later on in the day, when nobody knew where Hailey was.

That`s kind of hard for me to, you know, soak in, you don`t know where your child is, your 13-year-old little girl.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Hailey Dunn missing over a week now. And Texas Rangers have taken over the case. They were on her property today. Right here behind me, you can see in this area where her shed is. That is the actual location that the Texas Rangers were going through. They had gloves on. They were taking stuff in and out. But the question is, what exactly were they looking for?

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: There was a lot of suspicion cast on the father because I believe a scent dog picked up in his home. But that would not be uncommon because she visited her father a lot.

It was only later, when pornography turned up in the home where she lived with her mother and the mom`s live-in boyfriend, Shawn Adkins, pornography, including some child pornography, allegedly, a lot of slice- and-dice movies, even a homemade video of the boyfriend reenacting a scary scene out of a movie. Not only that, but so many other odd circumstances raised red flags.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: An eerie silence overshadowed the Dunn family home as Texas Rangers and local police searched the property, gathered items and went with flashlights and gloves into a shed in the back that read "Danger, no unauthorized personnel," an area of the home that neighbors said saw Hailey in all the time.
UNIDENTIFIED MALE: A lot. She always (INAUDIBLE) talking on telephone...

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Every day.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: ... almost every day.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: In both grandmothers` homes, pictures of Hailey everywhere, a constant reminder for them to pray and hope for the best.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

JEAN CASAREZ, "IN SESSION": We first hear that Hailey Dunn disappeared from her home right after Christmas, December 27th. Well, when you think about Texas, you think, Gee, it`s hot in Texas. Not in west Texas and not in December after Christmas. It`s cold.

So Hailey disappears from her home because she`s going to a friend`s house or maybe her father`s house, but her jacket is in her bedroom. She doesn`t take her jacket. She didn`t take any of her things in late December in west Texas when it is cold.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: After searching the sky, combing the fields and retracing footsteps, still no sign of Hailey Dunn.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We all want her back. We have to have her.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And for Hailey`s mother, Billie Dunn, frustration continues to mount.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We tell her to hang on to hope when we`ve gotten nowhere.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Which included the riverbed.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: The mom didn`t know where she was. The father didn`t know where she was. The boyfriend didn`t know where she was. Nobody knew anything. The little friend didn`t know.
And in this day and age, to have a little girl out wandering around by herself, going to her friend`s house -- it`s unthinkable. Of course, as in so many situations, when the heat got turned up, the mother and the boyfriend split up and he moves back home with his mom.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Please, if you know anything, please contact the police, 911, anything!

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: As of right now, there is no body. There was no blood found at the scene, nothing amiss in the home except this. This 13-year-old little cheerleader had a favorite jacket and her MP3 player. She never went anywhere without them ever. And they were both in the home.

What does that say to me? That says that whatever happened to her, happened in that home.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I want her home. She`s been gone too long. And they say after so long that she`ll never come home.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DUNN: She`s my daughter. She`s a 13-year-old baby, and I want her back.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Still no sign of Hailey Dunn.

DUNN: I want her home more than I`ve ever wanted anything in my life.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: The search for 13-year-old Hailey Dunn was extensive. Of course, the Texas Rangers started with Hailey`s home, the home she shared with her mother, Billie Dunn, and the live-in boyfriend, Shawn Adkins. They searched it extensively. They stayed in the home on and off for days. I remember they were even doing nighttime searches in the home with the shades pulled.

They did collect evidence from the home. The issue with any DNA evidence they may find in the home is that it really doesn`t prove anything because her DNA evidence would rightfully be there under innocent circumstances. Now, if that DNA evidence was found in a questionable manner, such as a pool of blood, that would not be innocent. Obviously, that`s not what they found.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: For everybody to come out like this really means a lot to me.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: It means a lot because it`s now day 11 and still no sign of Hailey Dunn.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: For it to happen to Hailey, of all people -- it`s sad.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: But Stephanie Boyd (ph) isn`t getting discouraged. She knows the girl has to be out there somewhere.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We have to bring Hailey home. Whatever the circumstances, we have to bring her home.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: Now, a neighbor said that the little girl typically spent a lot of time in the back yard talking on her cell phone. That was a cell phone she shared with her mother. To this day, we don`t know that that cell phone has divulged any information that police could use.

The search did not end with Hailey Dunn`s home. An extensive search was done, first a six-mile radius and then within a 25-mile radius going out from the home. There were four-wheelers, horses, dogs, volunteers, police, helicopters, the works.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Meet at Subway and start working north through the field.
UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: ... organized a group of volunteers to search for the young teen. Several hundred people came together to scour fields, comb the grass and dig through dirt with one goal in mind.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I watched Hailey grow up. She lives right around the corner from my house.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I have children of my own, and you know, she`s only 13, and I just feel that more help that people get is, you know, well needed.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: This 35-page document is a statement of fact, an affidavit in the search for 13-year-old Hailey Dunn.

DUNN: People are going to throw me under the bus and run me through the mud. They`re going to pick out the worst details in my life and throw it out there, looking for somebody to blame.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The document exposes some eyebrow-raising information about Billie Dunn`s once live-in boyfriend, Shawn Adkins, and shows information gathered by investigators giving insight into their personal lives. We showed all this to Billie.

DUNN: The important thing people need to remember is not slandering me, the important thing is there`s a 13-year-old girl who it seems like just disappeared.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Billie says while the information is fairly accurate, it doesn`t reveal the whole truth.

DUNN: It`s upsetting. It`s frustrating.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Accusations of drug use before the polygraph exam can be used by prescription painkillers Billie says her doctor gave to her for a bad tooth.

DUNN: The only thing that would have been purchased was hydrocodone.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: As for the party on New Year`s Eve...

DUNN: There definitely was no party. We`re not concerned with that at all. Didn`t even realize it was New Year`s Eve. I know I didn`t. Nobody was worried about that. We`re all worried about Hailey.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And the part about Shawn and Billie`s fascination with violence?

DUNN: I don`t feel like it`s odd that we watch horror movies or read true crime stories. We`re not interested in science fiction or dramas.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The canvassing of the neighborhood around where Hailey was last seen, this home right here behind me where she lives with her mother, but also and another thing that was done was they`ve searched all of the vacant houses in the area. And just drive around here, there are lots of vacant houses in the area.

If you Google any missing person, any child abduction, that`s one of the first things you do because it does happen sometimes that a missing child is found in a vacant home close to where they were last seen.

DUNN: I go back and forth with the whole issue. I mean, it is hard for me to stay hopeful 18 days later. I want to and I wish I could think positive, like, and optimistic like that all the time because it would sure help my wellbeing and help me be strong for my son. But it`s hard.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: The intensive search did not end with the search of Hailey Dunn`s home. It went on to not one but two landfills, that we know of. One of them is the Albolene (ph) landfill. On two different occasions, there were hits. Two landfills were involved, the Albolene landfill and then another city landfill.

These were cadaver dogs. They got positive hits in two landfills during a search for 13-year-old Hailey Dunn. Now, police tell us that they do not believe those hits mean her body was in a landfill. They insist they are looking -- were looking for trash from the Dunn home around the time Hailey went missing. They say the hits in the landfill do not mean Hailey Dunn is dead, but that they, the police, do believe Hailey Dunn is dead, not because of anything to do with the landfill.

I find that very intriguing, that cadaver dogs hit in not one but two landfills, but police do not believe the body is there.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I think we`re searching for something else. I really, really do. And either way, I want her brought home.

DUNN: Brought (ph) home to me. I need her. I can fix anything for her. I know a lot of people are praying, and that`s what we need the most.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DUNN: We`ve got candles burning, the guardian angel.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: It has really been a very strong two-pronged approach, that would be the missing person and aspect of a runaway, and then also Hailey Dunn in the aspect of any kind of criminal mishap -- that is, Hailey being held in duress or something of that nature.

DUNN: As far as I`m aware, there`s still no evidence of foul play, and I`m still looking for a living, breathing Hailey.

GRACE: Jean Casarez, legal correspondent "In Session," on from the very beginning. Jean, what more can you tell us tonight?

CASAREZ You know, Nancy, the big question I`ve had all day is what kind of dogs are out there because everyone is saying cadaver dogs, but yet authorities have emphatically said that forensically, they have found nothing to show she is deceased. So my only conclusion is cadaver dogs are trained also as tracking dogs.

GRACE: I want to go out to Tracy Sargent (ph). She is a K-9 handler, a search, rescue and recover specialist. She`s with her dog, Cinco (ph). Tracy, I want to talk to you about what all a cadaver dog can hit upon. For instance, any human tissue, bloody Band-Aid or bandage, a fingernail, all of these things -- would a cadaver dog hit on that if it related to Hailey?

TRACY SARGENT, K-9 HANDLER: Yes, Nancy. The unique thing about cadaver dogs -- when we mention cadaver dogs, there`s a spectrum of what we call human remains, and that could include a number of things -- a body itself, body parts, and then the articles that you mentioned, like a -- something an article with blood or a T-shirt that someone was wearing and had been decomposing in that T-shirt, a bloody weapon. Any type of material that has human remains on it, the dogs will respond to. So there`s a number of things that could be located in the landfill that may or may not be tied to this case.

GRACE: Now, Tracy, you`re saying cadaver dogs -- cadaver dogs specifically -- and maybe other kind of dogs, too, but cadaver dogs will hit on items that have human -- I don`t want to say waste but human tissue or DNA on them. Could be blood, saliva, decomposition, any of that.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: There`s a lot more evidence that we`re looking into, following up on and have that has not surfaced yet. So just trust us, we`re working very hard, continue to be diligent.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We go home at the end of the day and we cry. We hurt.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We`re out here all the time looking for her.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And I mean, it was brought to attention that you were the last person that saw her alive. What did you see that day when she -- when you walked in the door?

ADKINS: Just like I said, she was just in the living room watching TV, nothing out of the normal.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I see. And when she walked out the door, was it just business as usual? What was happening during the last few minutes when you saw her?

ADKINS: She just told me, you know, Shawn, I`m going to go by my dad`s and I`m going to stay out with my friend Marybeth. Please tell my mom. You know, just like every ordinary day, you know, because she comes and goes like that quite a bit.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I mean, she`s 13 years old. I mean, does it hurt to think people would point fingers at you, a person who cares about her?

ADKINS: Yes, it hurts. It does.

DUNN: Every time, I come in I hope she`s sitting here. Hope is all I have.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I just wish I could go and get her. I wish I knew exactly where she was. I wish I knew for sure she was there, and I could just walk in and grab my daughter and bring her home!

ADKINS: We just want her to come home safe.

DUNN: He went in Monday morning, but there was an argument. He was fired or -- there was just a big blowup there. He walked out. He left.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We`re going to fill a hole there until she gets back.

GRACE: Did anybody else see her beside the boyfriend?

That`s all. I just wanted Hailey`s face up there. Several leads, and they say they`re checking into all of them, but they keep hitting dead ends.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: And out here in Colorado City, in front of First Baptist Church, where the vigil was held for missing 13-year-old Hailey Dunn. Hundreds of people did come out, offering their prayer and condolences, including some of the search members of the volunteer group dubbed "Hailey`s Angels." Also at tonight`s vigil was Hailey`s mother, Billie Dunn, who came out to gather the support of the community, (INAUDIBLE) together to pray and get a little bit of hope.

ADKINS: I cooperated with them at first, and then I just feel like I couldn`t trust the police anymore. And that`s when I decided to get a lawyer, and then my lawyer told me just to lay low, keep quiet.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: That is, until now. He spoke exclusively to KTAB (ph), telling us why he hasn`t been cooperating with investigators.

ADKINS: I just feel like it was a witch hunt at the time and they were just trying to pin it on somebody, which was me. And I didn`t want that happening, so I just stopped talking to them.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: But he didn`t stop talking before the affidavits were released. As we told you when they were first available, some pretty disturbing facts of the case were brought to light, including Adkins admitting to threatening both the lives of Billie and Hailey Dunn.

ADKINS: That was incorrect. I never made any threats towards Hailey. It was just towards Billie.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The affidavits also revealed Adkins and Billie Dunn`s collection of serial killer and mass murder literature found in their bedroom.

ADKINS: I don`t see the difference in me collecting that and someone`s collecting, you know, "Star Wars" memorabilia or anything else. It`s just a hobby.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

ELLIE JOSTAD, NANCY GRACE PRODUCER: Shawn Adkins denies any involvement in Hailey Dunn`s disappearance. He denies knowing what happened to her. He says that he himself prays every day that Hailey will come home, be found safe. He says that he has nothing to do with her disappearance and that any statements that he`s made that were alleged by police to be inconsistent were actually just misquotes. He says his words have been twisted and that some of the things he said about Hailey were, in fact, taken out of context or just flat-out misquoted.

He says he`s absolutely not involved, nor does he know anything about what happened to her that day.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: He tells police that he left work 6:10 AM and goes straight to Big Springs. According to his cell phone, that did not happen.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

DUNN: You know, she`s a little girl and she`s lost and she needs us. And you know, every day I think, you know, she`s waiting for me. She`s waiting for me to find her. She`s waiting for all of us to find her.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Now investigators are saying at some point, the search will have to slow down and become just a Colorado City metro (ph) county investigation, but that`s still on the horizon as they`re continuing to find this teen. Tonight, many of the people coming in for the vigil said they`re looking for fresh hope to move forward because they`re still wanting to see Hailey come home safe.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We all need to gather strength and look for that higher power who can deliver for us.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Take a break from being stressed and just regroup.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: I know that prayer will get us through this.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We can all get together and have a moment of prayer and just remember who we`re here for. It helps bring all the morale back.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: New surveillance video released by Colorado ISB shows 13-year-old Hailey Dunn about a week before she disappeared.

DUNN: It was very hard to look at, just seeing the way she walks and recognizing it.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: This video was shot just before students at Colorado Middle School were released for winter break.

DUNN: I didn`t think that that was possible, that I am definitely missing her more now.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: While pictures can help identify a missing child, Colorado City police and other law enforcement agencies have studied this video to get a better idea of how Hailey carried herself.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: All these things still have to be fit together and put together for evidentiary purposes.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: At the request of Hailey`s mother, Colorado ISB superintendent released this video to us, hoping someone will help lead authorities to the 13-year-old girl.

DUNN: I`ve never gone this long without seeing Hailey.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Until then, there`s just one message Billie wants to relay to her daughter.

DUNN: How much she`s loved and missed. I hope she knows.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: With the help of the Hope for Hailey group, Billie Dunn has enlisted a private investigator.

DUNN: He knew who Hailey was and he was really excited, said he would do it pro bono.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Max Sanford (ph) is a PI out of Houston. He`s been working on the case somewhat similar to Hailey`s. Sanford says he spent several hours Wednesday night with Billie, combing through the Internet for any possible link, a daunting task.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The amount of information is astounding, almost discouraging, because there`s so much to look through. But we`ve got some great leads.

(COMMERCIAL BREAK)

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: Billie, what did cops tell you about taking Hailey`s bedsheets?

DUNN: I just know when they came in and searched the house, they took a few things, which they`re more than welcome to take any and everything they need. I didn`t notice the sheet was missing for a couple of days. I did tell them to take it for the hounds. But yes, they kept it. And they can keep it -- get anything they need.

GRACE: Billie, what are they telling you about the investigation?

DUNN: Not a whole lot more than everybody else. I want them to look everywhere, which they reassure me they are. They have different people looking at different areas. I just -- as long as I can believe that Hailey`s alive, I`m going to choose to believe that, but they do tell me they`re looking everywhere.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: Now, both Shawn Adkins and his defense lawyer emphatically deny any involvement in the disappearance of Hailey Dunn. In fact, Shawn Adkins says he prays for Hailey`s safe return every day.

The lawyer goes on to say that cell phone records can be wrong. So that`s what they`re saying now. As of tonight, no one has ever been able to explain the discrepancies in his phone records or his story regarding him leaving work the morning Hailey disappears.

He and the mom have split up, and apparently, Billie Dunn has moved out of the home.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: Billie, when your little girl would go for a sleepover, didn`t the family typically know she was coming?

DUNN: She usually asked me first and then would ask the other family. Sometimes she would ask them first. I thought, yes, they knew she had intentions of spending the night. They should have known.

GRACE: So was there ever time a time she took off for a sleepover without Marybeth`s family or you knowing?

DUNN: No. I always knew where she was. If she had been at a friend`s too long and not asked to spend the night, I did get ahold of somebody.

GRACE: SO Billie, is this the first time she has ever gone away for a sleepover without asking you specifically?

DUNN: She`s left notes or -- no, she`s let us know.

GRACE: I`m talking about you. Did she always tell you, her mother, that she was going to go spend the night?

DUNN: Well, no. Usually, she if stayed somewhere, it was with Clint and she would tell David or Shawn, if mom was at work, Let Mom going to -- I plan on spending the night with So-and-So.

I don`t know. They had me very faithful in that test. We brought the polygraph up first. We asked for it. And they told us they were very confident in those tests. They -- I put a lot of confidence into those tests. The first Friday, they had it set up for us to take, we had taken Ativan the night before to go to sleep. They didn`t tell us we couldn`t have anxiety medicine.

So when we were able to get it set up again, Shawn had actually called them and asked them if he could come down and take it yet, and they said, yes. They came, picked him up. He took his. I went in. They told me he failed it. I lost it, of course. I told him I had so much faith in that test.

Then they took me over to the courthouse. I took a polygraph test. I failed it, lost all faith in the test. A couple of other people failed it. One guy, I do not know. One person took it three times, took it...

GRACE: Let me ask you this, Ms. Dunn.

(CROSSTALK)

GRACE: Who administered the polygraphy to you? Who was it?

DUNN: His name was Matt, and I believe --

(CROSSTALK)

GRACE: Was it the local police, the FBI? Was it the Texas Rangers?

DUNN: No, he`s a polygrapher that came from Big Spring, out of town.

JOSTAD: Billie Dunn told the Nancy Grace show that she failed a polygraph test. Police say that what actually happened is they didn`t reveal the results of those polygraph tests to anybody that takes a polygraph test. They said they didn`t tell the mother she failed.

We do know that, according to reports and information, allegedly, the first time that Billie Dunn went to take the polygraph test, they couldn`t administer the test because she was under the influence of some sort of medication or drug. She says that she did take anti-anxiety medications right after Hailey disappeared in order to deal with all that was going on.

The second time, Hailey`s mother says she was told that deception was indicated on some of her answers regarding Hailey`s whereabouts or Hailey`s disappearance. She says she was very nervous taking those tests, and she again has always denied knowing anything about what happened to her daughter.

GRACE: We know that Shawn Adkins attempted three polygraph exams. On the first two of them, he got up and stomped out of the police department. On the third polygraph, he was found to be deceptive right off the bat, in the initial stages of the poly. That`s what was reported.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: Billie, you have a 16-year-old son. What time did he leave the house the night before?

DUNN: I thought he left around -- he says he left around 9:00 o`clock, and Hailey was in his room playing his XBox. I thought he left a little earlier.

GRACE: Now, you -- what time did you see her last the night before?

DUNN: I saw her about 10:00 or 11:00 o`clock in her bedroom.

GRACE: Was she still playing games?

DUNN: No, she was watching TV, laid in bed.

GRACE: Now, the next morning, you checked in on her before you left, and you believe you saw her lying in her bed around 6:00 AM, right?

DUNN: Right.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

DUNN: Nancy, I wanted to get a message out to Hailey if she is watching and she happens to get to a phone to call 911 because I do not have my cell phone.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The cops told Billie adamantly that if there was a major break in the case, she would hear it from them before the media heard it from them. So I have to conclude from that that whatever it is, the speculation is going on about what`s going on out there today -- they haven`t found anything that links Hailey to that landfill. And until they do, I suppose a landfill is a huge area and they`ll continue to search the landfill.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: They`re making this case not with a grand slam but with bunts and singles. They`re gathering small pieces of evidence that I think the police hope, eventually, with great patience, will add up to a solid case against somebody.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

GRACE: An extensive search was done, first a six-mile radius, and then within a 25-mile radius going out from the home. There were four- wheelers, horses, dogs, volunteers, police, helicopters, the works.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: The teddy bears have gotten old. The searches have died down, and the posters have faded out. One group of searches has not lost hope in finding Hailey Dunn. The Hailey search team has brought in psychic Gail St. John (ph) and investigative reporter Gary Peterson (ph).

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: We don`t know what direction to go, what else we can do at this point. And we really felt like with their high abilities and their high experience levels and their -- they have a very high success rate. We really thought we could learn from them.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: The areas that they were searching before I think are still viable areas to be -- continue the search and eliminate. And that`s what you have to do.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: What I`m looking for is picking up the residue or the feelings of the actual person that`s missing and trying to pick up where I feel them, and you follow it like a DNA.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Investigators say that any help they can get will only get them one step closer to finding Hailey.

UNIDENTIFIED FEMALE: Any time that there is fresh eyes and maybe a different perspective on things, that`s always helpful.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

CASAREZ: Her life was taken away. There is no evidence that she is alive. There is no evidence she is deceased at this point. But that life that she was embarking on, that she was about to begin to lead, being a cheerleader, a leader of her school, was taken away from her.

Not only was it taken away from her, it was taken away from her right after Christmas. She was on Christmas vacation. How excited must she have been to start school again, to begin to cheer for her athletic teams at her school.

All she wanted to do was grow up. That`s all she wanted to do. And somebody for some reason decided to take her from that life, and really, all that is left is the memory of Hailey Dunn and what she could have been.

GRACE: To this day, her body has not been found. I firmly believe -- even though there were some sightings, that she was spotted in a nearby city, I don`t believe that. I do not believe that was Hailey Dunn. I think Hailey Dunn, sadly, was murdered.

And what convinces me, among many other things, again, is that had her prized possessions in her 8th grade world were her favorite jacket and her MP3 player. They were in the home. I do not believe she ever left that home.
