New Details Released in Connection with the Search for Hailey Dunn

Another court document says more than 108,000 images were found on a computer taken from Shawn Adkins' mother's house in Big Spring. Shawn Adkins is the boyfriend of Hailey Dunn's mother.

Those pictures depicted "deviant acts" according to the documents. Mitchell County Sheriff Patrick Toombs tells NewsWest 9, those images included child pornography and bestiality.

Sheriff Toombs tells NewsWest 9, Hailey was not in any pictures on the seized computer.

Sheriff Toombs says the District Attorneys Office, Sheriff Department and the Texas Rangers are all working together to figure out who, if anyone, will be charged.

Why hasn't Shawn and Billie been charged with possession of pornography while investigators connect the dots in the Hailey Dunn Case.  Authorities have had this pornographic evidence for almost two months.  What is the hold up?

"Look, we need to keep our eye on the prize," said Jackson. "If the prize is finding and detecting where Hailey is, then perhaps they should exercise some restraint until they're absolutely sure. Ultimately, the police will do what's just and what's right and what's appropriate."

Marc Klaas, the father of a murder victim who visited Colorado City earlier this year, said Hailey's mother should be ashamed of herself. Klaas said Billie Dunn held back information from law enforcement about pornography being in her home.

Klaas is the creator of Klaaskids, a group that's helped lead and organize search efforts for the missing 13-year-old Colorado City teen.

You know what... I'm thinking Hailey couldn't have been in any of those images bc if she were, somebody would surely have been arrested right away...right?

I understand the process of arresting somebody for something like these images being downloaded isn't as cut and dry as everyone may think. People that do those gross things, such as view beastiality & child porn, tend to use filters of sorts, kind of like an encoder. Some international pedos use ip scramblers. LE investigators have to get to the bottom of who exactly viewed & downloaded the stuff, especially considering one piece of technology was retrieved from Christina's (Shawn's mom's) house. Then they had to retrieve the stuff from Billie's house and disect it all. If the drive and/or disk were erased and new data saved overtop of it all, it still leaves a track from it's prior load. The investigators have to be thorough in deciphering that info. It's not a quick & easy and people tend to think, especially considering there is a missing child in the midst of it all, and they probably are thinking that it ties into this porn evidence. Puzzler - disgusting is right! That's just sick & twisted imo.

To put it in perspective, there is a guy from my neighborhood here in NJ. He was arrested 2 years ago for questionable molestation. His exwife and he were fighting over their daughter. The ex said he molested their daughter. He lawyered up and fought, stating that it was a ploy for his exwife to take their daughter to Massachusettes to live against his consent. Well she mentioned something about his extra curricular activities on the net and the investigators confiscated his computers. Lo and behold there was tons of stuff on them...but...he purchased BOTH computers used, and he had an unprotected wireless internet, so it took damn near a year for investigators to be able to prove beyond a reasonable doubt that a neighbor didn;t use his "hot spot" to view stuff and in turn leaving a footprint on his computer's permanent memory (harddrive). It's not a quick as we wish it would be, that's for certain.

Klaas, if Billie did have knowledge (which I think she did) of this crap, doesn't it appear as though she took bits and pieces of certain murder mysteries and was just filling in the gaps, changing stories, as she went along?

I have a feeling she didn;t anticipate le getting that computer as fast as they did...and then to obtain a warrant to confiscate items of technology hidden at Billie's house AND for le to be able to find those items in such a quick time after they'd been hidden - I betcha she was thrown through a loop!

Some people may have been down on the police in the beginning, myself included...now I'm wondering if there was a method to their madness. I knew they had info they weren't releasing. I personally don't think this info would have been released as of yet if the media hadn't gotten it the way they did.
