Question: Could Baez be setting the appeal for ineffective assistance of counsel on purpose? Could he be so anti dp that he just expands the courts use of time, therefore keeping his client away from the needle a bit longer than necessary? I mean, I personally think she'll get life in prison instead of death, but that's jmho. I do wonder if he's doing all of this on purpose. I mean, it would be a win/win situation for him bc his client is is trying to avoid being put to death and he is anti dp. He makes a ton of money after the case by a single book deal alone for crying out loud. She can sue for inneffective counsel on appeal, therefore prolonging her life. I mean, maybe it's a stretch, but all of those involved in her case have been anti dp... remember when everyone was exploring Geraldo's role in Baez and the dream team? They were all anti dp. Once anti dp advocates get hold of a dp case, the money never runs dry. Baez gets paid anyway. All the while Casey remains alive. Based on stuff I've seen with Baez alone, she's gaining an appeal after found guilty, and her time on earth would be stretched out for many years. Florida is not Texas when it comes to the dp, in other words, not as quick.

Kenney Baden also took a bow: “Remember that jail tape when she was in jail and the child missing was found, and the prosecution wanted to get it in? Remember that? Well, the judge, the prosecution today stipulated they’re not going to use that tape. That was a huge win. And I’m proud of that, because I wrote the brief on that.”

That's what I thought I heard--resume at 1:30 TODAY.

This could go on forever.  Heaven forbid that Baez has to work another Saturday.I just don't understand why the judge is allowing this to go on and on.  As far as I know, LE can attempt  to get a suspect's relative to talk to them. There was no pressure.  George was free to say he didn't want to do it.  He knew it would be taped.  Casey is an adult and could refuse to see him, which after all is what she did.  The judge allows Baez to argue with him.  I think he's losing control of his court.  Maybe he's never seen anyone as inept as Baez and it is entertaining to him.  But it is costing the taxpayers of FL a lot of money just to have court in session.  I frankly don't get it.

I have to run some errands.  Will someone please ask the judge to wait 'til I get back?
